R'lyeh scribbled on the paper, drawing and shading around and doing what he wanted to the picture, to anyone else it might of looked fine, great spending on the person. But in his eyes all he saw was the flaws in the animal resembling a wolf, he wasn't sure how he felt about it especially since the issue on the other poster was still large in his mind. He continued drawing until he heard something stir in the water.
He looked up quickly seeing the individual standing in the water and he raised an eyebrow. He watched the boy carefully, his face cracking into a smile when he saw his actions. He chuckled slightly and flipped the page back the one he was originally drawing and erased a part quickly an started to draw in the back of the boy off memory and then went back over and did the smaller things. He then started to draw in the rippling water and the reflection of the boy he didn't know. He stared at his quick sketch of the boy standing up to his knees in the water along with the rest of the drawing, that would do for now, he could polish it off later at home but for now, he had something he really wanted to do.
He closed the sketch book and out the pencils back in the case and tossed them on his bag. He walked over to the shore of the pond watched him for a second with a small smile. He partly wondered if he should do this, he almost laughed at his thoughts, he was doing this. He bent down picking up three small rocks, none any bigger then an eraser, he tossed one in the direction of the boy. He tilted his head, he wasn't sure if that one hit him, it could of gone either way. He shrugged and tossed another one it skipped twice before hitting him, he smiled slightly. He shrugged and tossed the other one, just for fun.
He placed his hands on his hips and waited to see if he'd gain a reaction. -
As he floated, his mind had run rampant with a multitude of outstandingly idiotic ideas. Perhaps he should join an extreme waterskiing club, maybe fight a bear. The most untouchable human accomplishments appeared to be miniscule obstacles in that state of mind. He swallowed heavily at the thought, his mouth nearly watering at the idea of success. As he did this, he nearly found himself dozing off. Fortunately for him, a splash sounded nearby. At first, he brushed it off as though nothing had truly taken place-- it was a silly effect due to the rushing high he was experiencing. When a rather innocuous rocked skipped off of the water and hit his shoulder, his eyebrows raised pointedly, causing him to lose his balance in the water. He went under for a split second, easily bursting through the surface again.
He struggled to stay afloat for a few moments, but soon managed to begin maneuvering back to the shore line. Eventually, his vision absorbed the image of what appeared to be a male. He itched his forehead, inhaling deeply as the water line soon sunk so that just his ankles were below the liquid. His lopsided smile still remained plastered upon his face like an exasperating scab. The individual waved to the other boy, laughing gently. He crossed his arms after becoming unsure as to what to do next, his head shaking gently as he attempted to regain complete focus. In a strung, uneven tone, he managed to allow a relatively coherent string of words to escape his lips, his eyes glazed over in pure bliss.
"Hey there, partner." He had no Southern drawl to his voice, so it was rather uncommon for him to use the matching dialect. "Never seen you in these parts of town. Pew pew!" As he said the last bit, he stuck his fingers out like guns, shooting them off and into the distance based the boy. Garrett was as intrigued as he could be while under the influence, trying to sort out just why the other male may have been at the park. He had never seen another soul in the area at the same as himself, so it was normal to be somewhat disturbed by the male's sudden appearance. Garrett licked his lips, taking a few wobbly steps forward in order to be in a closer proximity compared to the boy.
"I'm Harp." His eyebrows furrowed. "No, I'm not. I'm Garrett. Garret Harrison Harp. Yeah!" He snapped his fingers. "That's it." The male lightly nudged the other boy's shoulder. "How about you, dude?" His cheeks, still pink with overenjoyment, were hot, which made him rub his much cooler hands against them. -
Its a little short
R'lyeh sighed and rolled his eyes at the man approaching him, "Hi, partner." He said sarcasm dripping of his voice, he took a step back as the male was beginning to grow close to him. "Yeah, um, sure... Whatever you name is senior junkie." He cringed slightly as water was transferred onto his clothes from the small nudge because he knew that was all it would take for him to be cold. He held his hand out trying to keep the soaked boy a little distance away, his index and middle finger against his chest. "Hmmm yeah, there's leeches in that pond, so if you want to touch me again and keep your penis you'll want to make sure you don't have one or a Ganon covering that," He checked out the body of the man in front of him, " Soaked body of yours." He said.
He looked back at his stuff in a not so discreet way, he looked back at him and shivered as the wind picked up around him slightly automatically making him cold. "I'll tell you my name, if you so desire it... But first you have to check for leeches," He leaned forwards a bit, "Or I will." He said quietly and moved back, winked and stepped away, dropping his hand to his side, being at a safe distance. -
HOLY s--- THE KID IS SASSY AF LOVE IT
A breathy laugh managed to creep its way out of Garrett's throat, his stomach flip flopping in a pure fluster. He listened intently, cringing just barely upon hearing the term 'junkie', but he decided to give little attention to it. He swallowed nervously, placing a hand in the air to signify that he would be entirely capable of checking himself for the supposed leeches the other spoke of. His breathing hitched when the wind picked up, his body growing cold due to its soaked nature. He turned away from the boy, unbottoning and peering into his own pants, examining his nether regions with raised eyebrows. The boy grunted when, as expected, he came to no avail in discovering a slithering creature any inside. He readjusted himself, buttoning his pants and clapping gently. He turned quickly on his heel, lazily crossing his arms once more.
"I can assure you, dude, that I have no leeches near my d--- parts." He gave a salute to the male, his teeth beginning to chatter promptly afterwards. "Damnnn, it's cold as all heck." Frowning, he aimlessly walked nearby, recalling where his sweatshirt was. Once he found it, he pulled it up gently, beginning to walk back towards the boy. Being the wise individual he was at that moment in time, he attempted to walk while pulling the sweatshirt on. Due to his altered behavior, he found this to be a rather arduous task, managing to trip on the ground. He fell forward, landing hard with his chin first. His front teeth sunk into his lips as he did sk. He seethed in pain, shaking his head to avoid seeing any stars or black smudges. The teenager brought his hands under him, pushing himself up as slowly as possible. With a scarlet red evident on his bottom lip, he wiped off his chin with his sweatshirt that he had finally pulled down all the way.
"You saw that? That's beauty and grace." He gently touched the blood, wiping some of it away with interest. Garrett peered at the substance for a moment before wiping it on his pants. "This has been a lovely day, you know? But I should probably go. Wouldn't wanna interrupt whatever you're doing, right? Hmm, ha." He blinked heavily, smiling lopsidedly. In his head, he knew he actually just wanted to seek another fix of what he'd had however many minutes ago. He thought he was a decent enough liar to get his fib into the stranger's brain, so he waved, beginning to turn to leave. -
sass master and a junkey, that's what you said right lol.
R'lyeh cracked a smile when he saw how the male reacted to his comments and held back a chuckle and watched him with an amused smile, he bit his lip trying to keep a straight face as best as he could. He raised and eyebrow, "Don't call me dude, never call me dude. Also are you actually saying you wouldn't notice something sucking on your d---?" He asked a small chuckle escaping through his mouth. "It's obviously cold! What are you insane?" He said rolling his eyes not really caring if he heard it was an insane idea to go swimming in the pond considering the weather.
He jumped slightly when he saw the boy fall, worry crossed his face for a brief moment but it disappeared when he started moving again. "Oh yeah, so damn graceful. You little s---." He said and rolled his eyes, he shifted his weight and put his hands in his back pockets.
He let out a sigh and listened to the boy talk and resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He reached out and grabbed the boys shirt, "Okay you're bleeding and just tripped over grass, if you honestly think I'm letting you go any where, you are f---ing crazy. You could crack your head on something and like die, no." he said his eyes glaring at the boy in front of him, "Not to mention I know you have to know that I can tell all you want is another fix which I'm not letting you have." His voice growing quieter and more serious, "Try your best to think over your next move." -
LOL YES
Garrett was relatively distracted as the other boy spoke, failing to catch most of his responses. He did manage to hear his warnings and statements of refusing to allow himself to leave. The teenager tensed up upon feeling his shirt grabbed, his head tilting slightly. It reminded him of many a day being scolded by his perpetually irritated father. He shuddered, yanking himself from the other boy's grip and flipping himself so that he returned to making eye contact. His eyes were glazed over, his lips held in a smirk that read nothing but mischief. He licked some blood from his lip, turning his head and spitting some of it onto the ground. Scrunching up his nose, he extended his neck, growing a bit closer to the boy that was attempting to assert power over him.
He would have spewed venomous words and a mocking tone, but something, whether it was the effects of the drugs or his brain speaking sensibly, made him cease his actions. He backed off, opening his mouth to speak but no words coming out. He shrugged heavily, plopping heavily down on the ground. The male itched the side of his head, looking up at the boy with squinted eyes. He could already sense that the peak of his high was wearing down. Perhaps it was the amount of energy he had exerted. Maybe the drugs weren't enough for him. He rubbed the side of his arm, finally managing to conjure up a string of coherent words.
"I'm not sure why you even care enough to want me to stay, because I don't know you, but I will stay." He rubbed his nose, beginning to realize how irritated it was from his previous actions. Their probabely isn't much you can do anyway. Eventually, we've gotta go home." He made a pointed expression, raising his eyebrows in an apologetic fashion. He sat there, kind of like a child who had been punished, occasionally rubbing his nose again while anticipating the boy's next action. -
Innocently puts this here
R'lyeh stumbled slightly when the male pulled away harshly but held up his ground. The way shorter male stood with a false pride, holing his ground in front of the male that was challenging him, he knew he wasn't the least bit intimidating but that was okay. He watched as the male moved, letting out a small shaky breath. He stood above the male watching him with a small unamused look, he gritted his teeth together slightly hearing what he said, he let out a small breath.
"I care because its a horrible habit and you'll kill yourself, I don't care if I don't know you, it still matters." He said, he sat down on his knees in front of the boy, "First off I don't appreciate your sass, second I don't have to be with you constantly." He said, he leaned forwards and placed a hand on each one of the mans thighs and leaned forwards and whispered in his ear, "I just have to convince you that's its better for you not to be high then it is to be high." his nose was just slightly touching the shell of his ear, a small smile played across his lips. -
"innocently"
Garrett wanted to laugh at the other individual, completely unphased by the words coming from his mouth. He wanted to shake the stranger and tell him how absolutely wrong he was. The seventeen year old had spent a multitude of nights finding sollace in the sweet love of the pills and powder he could get his hands on. He knew how his body felt when he had just the right product, and he knew, whole heartedly, that it was much better than being sober. His breathing hitched for a moment when the other boy touched him, his eyes leering at the hands making contact with his thighs. Hardly ever had he been so flustered upon only just meeting somebody. But he convinced himself that he didn't want it, and plucked the boy's hands off gently, shaking his head.
"Funny joke." He was coming down hard, his face visibly less bright than it had previously been, his nose twitching every now and again. "First off, you're the only sassy one here. Second, correct. And third, good luck with that. I know what I want and you're not going to convince me otherwise." His head turned away so as to avoid eye contact. He wanted to vomit, maybe because of how shocked he was of someone wanting to associate and help him. That was overwhelming. Oh, no. His stomach churned violently, and so he turned away completely in order to hurl the contents of his stomach onto the ground. His nose burned just barely. Something told him he had received a battered batch of his typical order, his body trembling slightly with the amount of force it took to expel his breakfast and lunch. -
yES! I'm totally innocent!
R'lyeh didn't hide his shocked look when the boy basically effortlessly picked his hand up, he moved away and looked at him and smiled innocently, "Who said I was joking?" He said a fake innocence leaking out of his voice, he pulled his hands back and poked his nose before sitting back on his legs He wanted to question the newly accumulated oddness of the boy but didn't have enough time. He looked away flinching slightly, gagging quietly but managing to control himself.
He glanced over at him enough to know where he was and patted his back and rubbed his back, once he had full control over his gag reflex he turned back to him. "How about it now? Do you think that its worth a shot?" He asked, "Come on, is a high really worth this much? Its nothing special, not at all. What if I could give you a high that you'd never come down from? Something that couldn't be matched by drugs or anything, people can give things that some substances just can't. So what about it do you want me to convince you that's its better for you not to be high then it is to be high?" -
extremely totally innocent!
Garrett's body continued to tumultuously shake as he continued to vomit, eventually drawing a few tears from his eyes. He wiped his mouth on his sweatshirt, running his other hand through his wet hair. He swallowed forcefully, allowing the other male to rub his back as it was nothing short of comforting. His heart pounded violently, his eyes finding the other boy once again. His head was shaking in complete denial, his cheeks red. "Look," a raspy tone started, "it isn't usually like this. I'm usually fine." He spit whatever was left in his mouth to the side, inhaling deeply to try calming his body. "I mean, I'm sorry. I just don't see why you think you have to help me. I'm fine, or I will be." Right on cue, he stomach kicked again, which made him grab for it, but he thankfully did not vomit.
He listened to the other male intently, his eyes focused on the ground, however. He shook his head as he absorbed the meaning behind the boy's words, discovering that it was very difficult for him to believe that somebody was so bent on helping him. No one in his own house cared enough to help him. No one in the school cared enough to helo him, as least that was how it seemed in his eyes. So, how was it possible that some random kid that stumbled across him wanted so badly to aid him? He rubbed his temples in an exasperated action. "You don't even know me. We've never even held a conversation. Why do you want to do anything? I'm just some guy that you found. You don't know my background, who I am, what I like, how I think. So, why?" A thin brim of sweat had begun to build near his eyebrows and forehead, his face a bit pale. -
Could I ever be anything but?
R'lyeh jumped slightly when was addressed but silently waited till he was done and patted his back leaning back a bit. He pulled his hand back a bit before patting his head and riffling his hair a bit, "Why do I want to help you?" He asked with a small chuckle, "Because I know I can, you may be a random person, I don't know you or your name but I can help you, even if you don't want it." He said looking at him, he stopped for a moment, "Drugs are something that's easy access and easier to get addicted to but hard get off of." He stated, "And its hard, and its harder if no one cares."
He watched the boy with a concerned look, "So right now, I'm telling you I'm helping you, its here for the taking and your not getting out of it." He sat back on his feet "Are you feeling better...?" He asked trailing off at the end, leaving an area for him to insert his name trying not to be too awkward about it.
