Garrett was anticipating the worst, his eyes searching the hallway for an escape route. He already had a negative reputation, and he didn't wish to have more fuel for people's gossip. Just as he was about to run, he gasped at R'lyeh's quick, swift actions. His eyes widened in a shocked frenzy, his pupils searching for the other male's, but his eyelids were closed tight, almost as though someone had applied a layer of super glue along the insides. The teenager held quiet, allowing his eyes to wander for the time being, a frown spreading across his face upon finding small yet grotesque marks spread along the boy's skin. The addict's stomach churned, partly because of the sickening sight being presented to him, but partly because of his current state. He listened as the footsteps of the other couple, stopped. A giggle or two sounded as their footsteps quickened, hurrying away from the two boys as if they were prey being hunted by the largest, most threatening predator.
Garrett pulled awat cautiously, looking around for any other possible witnesses. When he found none, he looked back to the other boy. He wasn't sure if he should mention the wounds on the other. Questions flooded his brain, however, begging on their knees to be posed. Were they self inflicted? Would that be hypocritical in a sense? Was he being abused? He was unsure. Tilting his head, he bit his lip, slowly emitting the words, "I guess we're in the clear." He waited patiently for R'lyeh, his arms crossed to guard his body.
It was still a mystery to him why the fairheaded boy wanted to badly to help him. It wasn't exactly a bad thing, he guessed, but it was still something to befuddle him if he thought too hard about it. Perhaps it was due to the fact that other had never taken too much of a care to his condition-- they let it be, even if doing so revealed extreme risks. It was out of the ordinary, having someone watching over his back. The last time he had felt that way was when he started basketball. Teammates always had each other's back when players were younger. They cared about whether or not others were hurting or upset. It was a family, something to depend on. But since that family had been ripped away from him, things were different. -
_Sarjah_ NewbieI know its my turn but I like them together sooo X3...

_Sarjah_ NewbieRlyeh looked up from his hiding spot carefully not to be too obvious, Y-yeah, He said and cleared his throat, All good. he pulled back and continued walking pulling the male with his sweater he took his hand and rubbed his eyes. Once they got to the doors near where the car was parked he pulled his sweater away from him and pulled it back around him and he walked to the car unlocking it he threw his bag in the back and sat in his seat, he turned around and rested his head on the steering wheel and waited for Garrett to catch up. He hugged his big sweater around him loving the fabric around his body again.
He didnt fully understand why he was helping the male, he was sure it seemed unusual to the tall man but at the same time he was sure he had to. It was a common thing to say that things come in three but that never seemed to be the case around here, it came in more like twenty or thirty. He knew from seeing it happened that once one thing happened like an OD then many spiraled after, he never knew what caused it, a bad batch, or mixed strains or whatever but he knew that by helping this guy over his addiction that he wouldnt be apart of it and for some reason he cared.
Short sorry -
Garrett very slowly made his way to the vehicle, still attempting to determine where the marks on the smaller male may have come from. They were disconcerting him much more than they should have been. As previously mentioned, the two hadn't know each other for long, and the teenager had already spent more time with him than he had others in recent memory. It wasn't in Garrett's nature to care about others since his injury. He was too wrapped up in himself to give enough attention to the problems that other people may have been having. But something about the boy was making him worry more than others.
He yanked the car door open, plopping into the passenger. He was sweating to the point that he was wiping his eyebrows every couple of seconds. Meeting R'yleh was bittersweet. Sweet in that the boy seemed to genuinely care about him even though they barely knew each other. Bitter in that knowing him didn't allow for him to live his life as he had for the days and weeks and months prior. He wouldn't feel so god-awful sick and he would be able to retrieve the only medication he could think of. More sweat was trickling down his cheeks. He angrily swiped at it, but then, he laughed.
"You know, this is probably the longest I've gone without anything in a long time." He then turned his head to the other. "It f---ing sucks," he rumbled, peering out of the window in front of himself. "I probably sound like a giant douche." He peeled off his sweatshirt, no longer caring about the track marks that R'lyeh might notice. He was sweating too much to leave any of his outer layers attached to his skin. The teenager grabbed the collar of his tee shirt, shaking it in order to capture more air as a means to cool himself down. -

_Sarjah_ NewbieTime skip~~~
When they pulled in to where they were going, R'lyeh saw Jack and his gang of idiots sitting out front of the apartment building, sitting out front on the stairs, "Eh... Come on lets go." He said parking the car and getting out he bent down into the car and looked at Garrett, "Oh uh don't talk to them." he said pointing to the boys on the stairs, "Just... Don't." He said standing up straight and slamming the door.
He sighed second guessing his thought process and why he thought this was a good idea, he didn't have anywhere else though. He ran a hand through his hair messing it up a bit, he licked his teeth and then puffed out his cheeks he nodded and then started walking towards the stairs hoping that the other male was following him. -
By the time R'lyeh arrived at the building, he had replaced the outer layer. He was shivered slightly, though sweat continued to drip along his eyebrows and upper lip. He trudged out of the vehicle, trailing the boy. A few sneaky comments slithered into his ears from a group of boys. Some, he knew for sure, had attended parties that he'd gotten loaded at. Their words revealed to him that they recognized him just as much as he found them to be familiar. A part of him wanted to stop and kick it with them, but he continued on, knowing full well the consequences of stopping. Taking R'lyeh's advice, he ignored their taunts and coos to the best of his ability, he made the journey along the steps.
"I'm super cold but I've sweating my balls off," he half-mumbled, following the boy to wherever they were going. He peered around, furrowing his eyebrows. "I thought we couldn't come to your house." He wiped some of the sweat from his face. "Am I gonna disturb people by being here?" -
_Sarjah_ NewbieR'lyeh looked at Garrett as some comments were made from the boys lounging on the stairs. He looked at them seeing Lynx at the bottom he smirked slightly, "They're just a bunch of loud mouths." He said and used one of his hands to push him up a head of him and then clapped with a smile, "Good you all know each other no need for introductions." He earned some glares from most of the group that didn't know him but the ones that did, besides Lynx looked away, "What do you want Rie." He growled
"I'm using my free card~!" He sung happily.
"Your what?" He growled moving to get up but before he could R'lyeh kicked him back into the cement railings of the stairs and put his foot against his chest keeping him there he smiled. He saw one of the boys go to move.
"Tell the newbie to back off or he loses his hand." He said his tone getting dead very quickly.
"Kody." He said the word and he pulled his hand out of his pocket and crossed his arms and huffed like a child.
"My free card, you're not going to sell to him." He nodded his head towards Garrett, "Not now, not ever, not anyone you've met any dealer in this town."
"Now why would I do that."
"Easy, I'll tell your mother what you really do out here all day."
"You little-" He went to jump for him and he slammed him foot against the males neck keeping him pinned there
"How well will your mother take the knowledge that her son sells drugs outside of her apartment building."
"Fine but I can't-"
"Anyone how doesn't want to play... Tell them a Savage is coming after them.
" You're name dropping not? What the hell Rie!" He yelled getting angry, "Is this rich snob really that important?"
"They're my cards to play, I'll use them as I want. Get over it." he took his foot away and started walking up the stairs.
"You know... You're from our side of this! you grew up like the rest of us! In crappy homes, with crappy parents, surrounded by crappy people and kids and like most of us, scared for you're life!" This caused R'lyeh to pause on the stairs, "You're one of us, born and raised! Any of us go up into your apartment and we can find every dent, every surface you've been thrown against, hit into, hell I could probably find every spot you broke an arm or got a concussion."
"Ly-"
"No! You want to use cards for some random guy that's not going to remember who you are in ten years fine! But remember you. are. one. of us. and you'll always be one of us, scared for your life" R'lyeh turned giving him a weak smile.
"But I'll give him ten years." His small sentence was enough to shock them all, "And hell, give it a few years, no one will remember me. I'm the disappointment." He said and went up the last two steps.
"We're always one of our parents, Rie. Who are you?" R'lyeh didn't miss a beat when he said.
"I thought it was obvious, I'm my mother." He said walking into the building, not being able to meet Garrett's eyes.
"See I talk back to gangsters all the time." He said and started going up the stairs. -
He stumbled along, barely capable of catching himself after R'lyeh pushed him further along. His stomach churned violently, but the sick feeling thankfully and quickly dissipated. As he turned back to the boy, he kept quiet as the drama began. A part of him wanted to speak put against the words spewing out of the apparent opponent's mouth. He held back, however. For one, he had little to no energy to argue and plead his case. He was fairly taken aback by the sudden courage R'lyeh appeared to exude. It was a surprising turn of events for the male to be so assertive. Garrett leaned against a nearby wall, keeping his eyes attached to the floor, which held a kind of interest that pulled him away from what was going on in front of him.
His heart pounded just a bit harder when he heard the descriptions of the injuries R'lyeh had sustained at some point or another. This forced his mind to think back to the mark he had taken notice of previously. The pieces basically put themselves to together all by themselves. A small gasp escaped his lips, but he muffled it, trying to keep his reactions secret.
The comments about himself stung a little, he supposed, but he had definitely heard worse in his lifetime. He pulled in a deep breath. It was beginning to feel cold outside. Or was it? He was unsure. With sweat beginning to subtly drip along his forehead with shivers wracking his body, he was confused. A very thankful aura overcame him as R'lyeh ceased the confrontation. He hurried after him, thankful when they eventually stopped at a door.
"As soon as we get in, I need a blanket or something. I'm freezing, dude," he begged, wiping a thin line of sweat from his forehead. -
_Sarjah_ NewbieR'lyeh unlock the door and turned to face Garrett and kicked the door open gently, "How about this, go have a shower, I'll get you a new pair of clothes and then we'll settle in, okay?" He asked with a small smile, "I'm sorry about what just happened by the way, they're not always out there so I was hoping they wouldn't be but" He shrugged, "It was just as good to do it then, they'll be a little bitter about it for a while but it should be good in a little bit, just don't do something to piss them off. I'm also sorry about Lynx, he can be such an ass sometimes he shouldn't of said something like that." The tips of his ears went red from embarrassment on what had been spilled to the male from Lynx, he didn't think that Garrett really needed to know he'd been treated poorly by his father.
He walked further into the house and pointed to the bathroom for Garrett, "There's towels under the sink, help yourself." He said with a smile and turned away and went into the room he shared with his sister, her side covered in posters, all sport related and some of her metals thumb tacked to the wall and trophies on the shelves. On his side was all art, some sketched nicely done on paper that was stuck to the walls some drawn right on the wall, right above his bed was the one he drew at the pond the other day of the nice forest with Garrett standing in the pond, he laughed quietly to himself and laid down on his bed and waited to hear the shower start to look for clothes that should fit Garrett. -
The boy listened carefully, nodding every now and again. "Okay, uh, sounds good," he responded. He then waved his hand nonchalantly. "Ahh, it's okay, he didn't say anything that I haven't heard from someone else." After a small word of gratitude, he entered the bathroom, closing the door behind himself. He maliciously rubbed his eyes, stealing a glance into the mirror. A sigh of defeat sounded, his eyes squinting. He examined the drops of sweat trickling along his forehead. A part of him knew that even if he tried to wipe it away and make things better, they wouldn't. These symptoms were only destined to get worse. And as if right on cue, he was over the toilet bowl, hurling the last bits of stomach acid he could muster out of his system. Very tiny grunts came from him as did this, his hand trembling slightly.
Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic. It hasn't even been a day and I'm already sick as f---. I need to fix that asap. I gotta find my break. His eyes looked to the bathroom door, fixated on the door handle. I could just...like, bolt. He shook his head. Yeah, right. That won't work, no way. He flushed the latrine, stripping down. He tossed his clothes near the door, watching as they smacked the wood and slid to the floor. Just take a shower just take a shower just take a shower. After a few moments, he turned the water on. It took a lengthy period of time for him to actually enter the space, and when he finally managed to do so, he sat at the bottom. He allowed the water to run down his body, resting his forehead against his knees. Something about the water beating down so heavily disconcerted him, and suddenly he wasn't sure he wanted to continue the shower. He tilted his head upwards, gritting his teeth angrily.
I'm stuck, stuck, stuck.
The anger metastasized dangerously, starting in his head. It bubbled and bubbled until every part of him felt the urge to scream and smash his fists against the wall. But instead, tears flooded his cheeks, mingling with the shower water. He was quiet about the breakdown, however, muffling the various noises coming from his throat with his hands. After a fair ten minutes of hurriedly attempting to calm himself down, he inhaled deeply. He turned the water off, pulling himself to a rocky stand.
As soon as he stepped out of the shower, he pulled a towel from under the sink as R'lyeh had said to. He dried himself to the best of his ability, wrapping and securing the fabric around his lower half. After collecting his clothing, the male opened the door, completely unaware as to which way he should go. He called out his friend's name, silently standing outside of the bathroom after doing so. -
_Sarjah_ NewbieWhen the shower started he begrudgingly got up and started looking through his stuff, not finding anything he thought was big enough to fit Garrett he walked out of his room and into his mothers. He went back into her closet and there it was full, but mostly with male clothes, a thing his mom could never get rid of, his dads clothes. He slid the clothes over til he found a pair of sweatpants with the tags still on them he, he pulled off the tags and took the pants and grabbed a shirt in the same state. He closes the doors or the closet gently but with little care. How his mother preserved the idea of his father was always annoying yet he could never really shatter that image for her even if he wanted to.
When he heard Garrett call he came out and handed the male clothes, shortly after checking him out. He smiled slightly and said he'd be in his room when he was ready and clothed. He walked back into his room, grabbing on of his long sleeve shirts he pulled off his sweater and top and pulled on that one and laid down. He wasn't really aware of what shirt he pulled on but it was one of his favorites, the big black shirt had "I would bottom you so hard' written in white on it. He sighed looking up at the ceiling that at one point also had drawings on it but we painted over it long ago, now the blank ceiling was sort of haunting in its own way. -
Garrett retreated into the bathroom once more, avoiding looking at his reflection any more than he had to. He stepped into the sweatpants, hoisting them up. The only complaint was that they were slightly too big, but if he rolled the top once over, they were fine. He pulled on the teeshirt, looking around for a place to set the used towel. After a moment of investigating, he decided to fold it in half and set it over the rod that held the shower curtain up. He trudged out of the bathroom, being sure to flick the lights off and to close the door, and set off. It took him a moment to find R'lyeh's room, and when he finally did, he pouted like a child who had failed to receive what they wanted on their birthday.
"My heart is pounding, dude. Like someone's chasing after me but obviously they're not. This could all just be avoided, you know..." He grew closer to the other male, eventually at the point where he was standing right next to the bed, looking down at him. "We can forget about all this, you know? Like you're doin' thing, here, but maybe it'd be better received by someone else, right? I'm a rich snob, anyways, I'm sure I could get help elsewhere." He opened his arms, raising his eyebrows like he had formulated the best idea in the history of ideas. On any good day, Garrett wouldn't be trying so desperately to get away. But it wasn't a good day. Frankly, he was terrified of the symptoms that went with withdrawal. He never thought he would have to deal with it. But he'd met someone as stubborn as himself, so that basically shattered all plans of avoiding the detox. -
_Sarjah_ NewbieR'lyeh hummed a song softly to himself as he waited for the other male to come to the room and when he did he resisted the urge to hit his head against the bed. He propped himself up on his elbows and tilted his head slightly looking at him his face indifferent compared to what was actually going on in his head, he slowly sat up and looked at the drawings on the one wall ignoring his sisters side of the wall. He got up after the male opened his arms, he slipped in between them and gently put his hand on his chest feeling his chest and attempt at getting a feeling of how his heart actually pumping making sure his body was really close to the others.
He smiled slightly and put his other hand up in the other males and and then gripped onto his hair and tried to pull him down a bit. He put his head against the others forehead and made the sides of his nose touched the others, "You're not going anywhere, I'm helping you and that's that, you're not getting away from me. Don't let any thing Lynx says to heart and don't try to run away from me, I'm like a wild animal when you run I chase after you." He said with a smirk, "And besides," He pulled his face away a bit and gently kissed Garrett's nose, "If I let you go you'd burn through your stash at home so quickly and wouldn't be able to buy anything from anyone that's walked a foot into this town or knew someone who had and you'd be high and dry with no help at all." He said with a small smile. "So," He said and pressed his lips against his gently for a few moments, "Sit your ass down." He said and shoved towards the bed a bit.
