Magical? XD)
Bryce watched her, listening to her as she spoke. "You're welcome, Larkin." he said leaning back against the seat getting comfortable again. His eyes keeping to her, watching her for a few moments. "It's okay. I..know what you mean. Won't ask or anything." he said to her with a small smile to her. She's not used to having a family. To being part of a family, as she had said. This..is a new experience for her then, I guess. Lets see if it goes well.. he thought to himself. -
Yes Magical. XD)
Larkin smiled down at her hands. The car braked, immediately her head hit the seat in front of her. Mrs. and Mr. Hunter apologized, saying sorry more times than she has said it, and started moving once again when the light is green. Larkin adjusted her position, and stared outside. All the nature, the trees. The cars. She always wondered how if the trees and grass are alive, what everyone appeared to them. Could they see in color? Do they think we are nature to their eyes? Do they even have eyes? She always thought about this, time passed faster this way. To think about these types of things. It brought some sort of sense of happiness to her. The car stopped abruptly again, but this time her parents announced they arrived. -
Okay then XD)
Bryce closed his eyes as he sat there, listening to the noise of the car moving and chatter for the rest of the way, probably dozing off into a small nap in the time. He woke as he felt the car come to a stop and glanced out his window to see they had arrived to their home. "This is it." he said quietly as he stretched his arms a bit, before opening the door to get out. One of his hands holding onto Larkins 83rd bag she had with her, to get it out for her as he came up and out. The sunlight blinding him for a few moments as his vision adjusted to it slowly. -
Isn't Bryce wearing a seatbelt? XD)
Larkin stared at the house. It was so big. Bigger than the orphanage. "This is it," she whispered to herself before opening the door to get out. Larkin looked for her duffle, a small bubble of panic began to emerge before she realized Bryce has it. The feeling disappeared, but a new one began to grow. This is it. I'm going to be here for the next two years. This is my family! Larkin smiled to herself as she shut the car door and made her way up to the staircase behind everyone else. -
Uhm...it automatically comes off? I'm still half asleep here, not thinking right XD)
Bryce stood still for a few moments, looking back over towards Larkin a bit before he began to walk up the metal staircase, a bit behind his parents who were ahead of him, up towards the door. I wonder what this is going to be like now? Better? Worse? About the same? Not likely though. he thought to himself, shaking his head a bit as he arrived up to the door, his father already getting the door open and unlocked as he stepped into his home. -
I can tell. Plus you forgot to shut the car door! XD)
Larkin stepped into the house, and everything screamed Money to the furniture to all the decorations. It screamed. Larkin shivered as she stood in the middle of what appeared to be the living room. This is new. She stared all the pictures on the wall. It appeared Bryce was an only child, well not anymore. She hugged herself, attempting to bring any warmth to her arms. She silently cursed herself for not putting a jacket on before leaving. -
Uhm..one of his parents closed it for him! There XD)
Bryce walked in and up to a black couch that was laid in the living room, placing Larkins red bag gently on the floor beside it as he took a seat in the couch. He chuckled a bit to himself as he watched Larkin there, a bit a way from him. "You okay, Larkin?" he asked her after a few moments as he looked around, before standing back up to his feet. Hmm...what do we have? he asked himself, getting a little hungry, waiting still though for a reply. -
Always gotta answer for something XD But they left before him)
Larkin thoughts disappeared as she heard her name. "Uh yeah...Yeah....Uh-huh.....just it's chilly in here....." Her sentence trailed off. "Oh yeah....perfect....I didn't think this house was going to be so big..it'a huge." Larkin still stood in the middle of the livingroom, trying to get accustomed to the chill cutting through her body. "How can you stand the cold?" Larkin asked, almost whispering, "You act like it's not having any affect on you." -
Uhm..they have very very long arms. They're like that guy off of fantastic four! XD)
Bryce chuckled a bit and shook his head slightly. "Come with me for a bit, Larkin." he said to her as he started over to a set of stairs. "It is. You'll get used to it over time. You'll see." he said as he had passed by her smiling a bit. He grew up here so he knew the house like a plain piece if paper with nothing in it. He glanced back over to her a bit as he heard her last part. "I don't know. I'm just used to the cold, I guess. Now come on." he said as he started up. -
NO! Why you do this? XD)
Larkin smiled, and followed Bryce, hesitant on getting too close. "I'm not sure I will be used to it. The or- where I lived, it was very warm. Here...I don't know..." Larkin carefully went up the steps, while Bryce took to at a time. She just needed to get used to this place, this lifestyle. Being with others that aren't quite blood related. But she has already grown accustomed to that over the years, watching people leave, the children leave. Trying to avoid bonding with the others since it'll be too painful to watch them leave. -
You said I always got an answer for something XD)
Bryce listened to her as he stepped quickly up the stairs and steps, not taking his time going up, but not going too fast up either so she could keep up with him. "You might. Just give it some time. If it would help, I'm sure mom and dad wouldn't mind turning up the heater to try to warm it up a bit for you." he said to her as he got to the top, heading over to a room to the side at a slow jog as he pushed the door open a bit and slipped inside of it. -
Still. No XD)
Larkin went up the steps quicker, finally reaching the door. "You sure? I really don't want to be an inconvenience for you guys." She admitted. Larkin stood in the doorway, looking down at the stairs, "Why did you bring me here? What's in there?" Larkin asked, curiosity getting the best of her. She wondered what he did in his spare time. It seemed they have money. She has always despised these type of people, the ones who seem to ravish in their money. Showing the world that they are the upper class man and everyone else is second-class. She silently prayed Bryce wasn't like that. -
No? Why no? XD)
"Yes, I'm sure. Well, mostly sure anyway. I think so though. You shouldn't be an inconvenience. I don't think so." he said through his door to her as he went and walked over to his closet, looking through it. "Give me a bit to find it...wait-here it goes. Come on in too" he said motionibg for her to enter the room as he soon pulled out a bla I jacket that read "The Only" across the back with a number "67" beneath it. He tinted to her with a small smile as he watched her, holding it out. "This should do." -
Because I say so. CX)
Larkin smiled at Bryce, then looked down at the jacket he held out for her. "Are you sure? I know you said it shouldn't be an inconvenience, but your parents had just adopted me...and now...." Larkin didn't have a clue on to where she was going with her sentence. But soon realized she didn't want to waste time thinking about it, when another chill went through her and she shook. Larkin gently took the jacket from Bryce and put it on. Immediately she felt a different. Her fingers weren't numb anymore. "Thank you." -
What You say goes?)
Bryce shook his head to her as she spoke, laughing quietly to himself. "It's alright. Its...good to have someone else in the house. Especially someone who is actually close to my age. It get..lonely ,i guess. Besides. You are my sister, now. Though not by blood...better than before." he said with a small shrug of his shoulders as he watched her. "Again. You're welcome. It looks better on you than me. Keep it." he said to her.
