Rayne's smile became so sweet it could have given diabetes. "Of course. Thank you, Mom and Dad." She tilted her head cutely, trying to make herself appear adorable. She wasn't sure if she met the criteria, but it was worth a shot.
-
Shawn and Maria smiled brightly as they heard her, walking up to her, hugging her. "Welcome my daughter." they said at about the same time, keeping there for a few moments. Peter watched on to them, smiling as he laughed a bit to himself seeing them as they were. Keeping in silence for the time. Soon the two pulled away from her and stepped back to give her some space.
-
Rayne was slightly tense, not used to the physical contact. The only person who she ever allowed to hug her was Tera, but she still wore her kind smile. She flipped her hair and crossed her arms behind her back.
-
Shawn looked to her for a few moments after stepping back before speaking. "Well ...guess we should get your things now, right?" he asked, looking over towards Lisa to make sure that was correct. Peter had placed his headphones halfway on, hearing to them in one ear and to what they were saying with the other.
-
"No need! Rayne never accepted much! I have her stuff!" Lisa chirped as she handed Rayne a book bag with the original white mage from Final Fantasy on the flap. "Does it have my music...?" Rayne asked, getting a cheerful, "Of course!" in return. Rayne slid the messenger bag across her front, smiling.
-
"Well that's good then. We're ready whenever you are, to go." Shawn said to Rayne. Peter slowly walked up twarss Rayne, smiling nervously again. "Need help?" he asked her slowly.
-
Rayne sighed. "Would you?" She asked softly, her head turned in the direction his voice originated from. She flashed an awkward smile, clearly hating that she was asking for help. She heard Lisa walk back to her office after murmuring a "Good luck."
-
Peter slowly nodded his head a yes, "Ye-yeah." he said to her nervously, taking another deep breath to help him try to keep calm now. "I'm right h-here." he said smiling.
-
Rayne nodded and followed his voice. She slid on her glasses, as not to allow the sun to damage her eyes further. She sighed silently, suddenly realizing how embarrassing being blind was.
-
Peter glanced to where she was, his parents has started to walk back a bit ahead of them. He stayed back, near her, to try to lead her the way. "C-caredul.." he said to her.
-
"Thank you." Rayne murmured as she kept following his voice, being sure not to drag in feet as not to trip over anything. Talk about embarrassing...
-
Shawn and Maria had went and stepped out to go to the car, walking on. Peter held the door open for her, before reaching out and grabbing her arm gently, a slight blush on his face as he did so. "So y-you don't...fall." he said to explain why he has done so.
-
Rayne smiled sweetly. "Thank you, Peter." She said with a smile. She hadn't been outside the orphanage in ages... they had teachers school her in fear that she'd be bullied at a regular school.
-
Peter grinned a bit for a moment to her, seeing her smile, saying a quick "You're welcome." to her, before heading out the rest of the way towards the car that awaited them, not far away.
-
Rayne continued to follow the sounds, careful not to trip or hit anything. She had asked for a walking stick, but to no avail, so she relied upon sound and vibration. That would explain why she was batefoot.
