Toby raised a eyebrow as he saw that Fern's wrist were cut. -

Fern looked away as Stein sighed. "Toby, don't let her out of her sight. Cutting is addictive and by the looks of it, she is beyond addicted." -
"Ok" Toby said and scratched his head.

Stein let go of her and she stormed to her seat, rewrapping her wrists. 'How dare he?! I was keeping it secret for a reason!'

Toby sat down "how long have you been cutting?!" he asked Fern with a worried look.

Fern flinched and sighed. "About two years..." She mumbled, hearing others whisper about the weird green haired girl who cut herself.

Toby sighed "Ok", i've need to find a way to make her stop he thought

Fern winced at the whispers and put her head down, fighting tears.

Toby sighed and opened a book and pretended to read it. "Toby!" Stein yelled, Toby got startled "ummm....yes? he asked, "get over here" Stein demanded, Toby got up and walked in front where Stein was.

Fern looked up, confused as to why Stein needed Toby.

"Toby, I want you to take good care of Fern" Stein told, "but how? I can't just keep an eye on her all day" Toby replied, "don't let her grab any sharp objects, now go back to your seat!" Stein demanded. Toby bit his lip ,nodded and walked back to his seat.

Fern cringed slightly as Toby got close to her, afraid he'd talk about her too.
