The door knob turned, and as it was open, Molly came swarming in before whomever had opened the door. She bounced around the room, prancing her feet unhappily. "Hurry, Trinity, hurry!"
"Calm down, little pup," the older wolf hushed her as he walked into the room. Behind him were two other pups, and he hoped they wouldn't trample him as Molly had. Upon catching sight of the lamb, he walked over to his bedside, shushing the jumping pup. "You're Basil, right? Oh, you poor soul.." He wrinkled his nose as he smelled Cyrus all over the lamb-- not a pleasant smell at all. "Pups, stay outside. I need to help him get dressed." Molly whined, but obediently went outside to wait for Trinity's twins. -
Basil pulled the covers around himself tighter as the pups came in, feeling nervous around the new wolves coming into his space. Specifically the two young pups that tried to get on their toes just to sniff at him. Though he believed children were innocent and could do no wrong, pups scared him. If they had claws and teeth, they were just as deadly as their parents. The fact that they sniffed at him made him more nervous, fearing that they would see him as food. The lamb was reluctant to come out from under the covers once the pups were shooed out of the room, staring doe-eyed at the male wolf. "Who are you..?"
-
Trinity waited until he heard the click of the door behind his pups. Turning to glance behind him to make sure there were no straggling young wolves, he sighed in relief, returning his attention to the lamb. "My name is Trinity. I am a friend of Molly's parents. Don't worry, you can trust me. You are a friend of hers, therefore you are a friend of mine." The wolf smiled to Basil, holding out his hand. He knew he'd have to take the process with the other male slowly. Abuse was hard to get over. "Let me help you get dressed.. Unless you would like to bathe first?"
-
"A friend.." Basil nodded lightly, his voice still croaking in which he cleared his throat before speaking again. "Basil. But you already knew that..." He stared at the other's hand for what felt like an eternity before reaching out to weakly take a hold of it. As red in the face as he was, he did need a bath before getting dressed. He felt gross between his legs, a dry mess left behind from the night before. "Bath first, please." The lamb mumbled as he slowly and painfully sat up, watching out for his tail.
-
Trinity stood at the bedside patiently, his gaze never wavering from Basil's face. He knew when a man would need privacy, and by the looks of things, Basil needed it. "Take your time," he said, feeling the weight of the lamb tugging on his arm. "We can walk as slowly as you need to. Lean on me, even, if you must." The wolf wished that he could pick the lamb up, but he wanted to make sure that he only did whatever Basil needed. He knew that Cyrus must have held him in his arms before. It would only bring the lamb memories of the horrid alpha. "Are you okay to start walking?"
-
Basil swallowed hard, shifting carefully to get his legs over the edge of the bed. His shaking legs that looked ready to give out before he even started walking. He hated being so exposed and vulnerable in front of someone he barely knew, but he'd needed help moving more than anything. He only hoped he could wash himself properly on his own. "I-I can try.. I don't know if I'll be able to though.." Truthfully, the lamb wanted to be carried, to be treated like the royalty that he was. If he'd been hurt like his back home, many of the other lambs would've come to his beck and call. But not here, Cyrus tried to make sure no one even paid attention to him. Oh how that plan backfired.
-
The wolf stretched his neck slightly, trying to get a look at what was behind Basil. The stains from last night- blood and semen- were horribly obvious. Coughing a small bit to hide the fact that he had looked, he stared down at his feet, trying not to crush the lamb's hand. He was reminded vaguely of a time where he had held a hand as gentle as Basil's. He squashed the thought almost instantly, sighing to himself. There was not a time he wanted to remember that happening. After what felt like a minute passed, Trinity smiled to Basil, offering, "I can carry you if it's too hard to stand. Of course, I understand how awkward that might be for you, so we can continue to take it slow if you'd like..?"
-
The lamb wasn't paying much attention to where Trinity was looking, focusing on moving his legs. His pain killers were beginning to work, but not enough. His muscles shook so much that they were sore on their own. He gave the wolf's hand a gentle squeeze, struggling to pull himself up. But upon taking his first step, he lost any sense of balance he'd had and leaned on the other. He perked up at the offer and nodded immediately. "It-It wouldn't be too much trouble, would it?" Basil looked up at him with hopeful eyes. The idea of being touched while he was naked caused him to shake, but at the same time he didn't care because it would be faster if the other carried him.
-
Trinity instantly grabbed the lamb's hips firmly as he tripped, holding him steady. He didn't weigh as much as the wolf thought he would, so it was easy to hold him up. Laughing a bit, the older bent down and scooped the lamb up in his arms, shaking his head. "It's not a trouble at all. I wouldn't have asked if it was." The wolf strode to the bathroom, making sure not to look at any private areas. He was all about respecting others' wishes, no matter if he disagreed with them or not. "I'll have to set you down so I can prepare the bath, will you be okay if I do that?"
-
Basil buried his face in the other's shoulder when he was caught, shaking both from the cold and his fear that he could've hit the floor just now. He didn't need any more injuries to add to his body and was relieved when he felt warm hands on his hips. Red tinted his cheeks as soon as he was lifted up, trying to keep his legs closed to cover himself. The lamb relaxed into Trinity's hold when he noticed the older wolf's eyes looking at anything that wasn't his body. "You can just..set me in the tub. I can sit there while it fills." Basil suggested, looking up at the other curiously. Trinity had hair that seemed to cover one of his eyes, almost half of his face, and it made the younger more curious about him. It seemed as if there was effort to keep it the way it was.
-
The wolf noticed the efforts Basil was making to hide himself more than anything at that moment. He chuckled, keeping his focus on the fact that he had to take care of the lamb more than the lamb himself. When Basil relaxed, he let out a breath that he didn't realize he had been holding back. "Alright then. I'll set you down inside." Approaching the tub, he leaned over and set the lamb down inside slowly. Trinity only pulled away after he was sure he hadn't hurt the other. Then, he immediately stretched, as if pretending he had to, before he set to work getting the water and other supplies to wash the lamb. "Is this your first bath since you've left your home?" he decided he'd try to start up a conversation to get the lamb to get to know him better.
-
Though Basil was content arounf the new wolf, his stomach just seemed to turn until he was set in the bath tub. Being touched by someone, most likely just other men, was going to be difficult for him now. He didn't know who he could really trust anymore besides Molly. He shifted to lean on one side of his body, reaching back to unwrap his bandaged nub of a tail. He was oblivious to the soft, squeaky whines that escaped him as his body had adjusted to pain, resulting in subconscious sounds of distress. But once the bandage was off and tossed aside, the lamb settled, and responded with heavy breathing. "I..took one the night before last.. When we first got here." Basil squirmed to get comfortable, curious as to why Trinity was starting such idle conversation. It's not like Cyrus would let him make friends with the other anyway.
-
Trinity didn't relax himself until the bath was prepared. As he got water to put in the tub, he avoided eye contact with the other in fear of having wandering eyes. He only looked over once, at the sound of a few noises. The wolf noted that they were probably noises of pain in response to his injury; the bandage Basil had applied was now on the floor. "Ahh, alright. I'm glad you were allowed to take care of your body. I felt as if.. Cyrus could have done more to you. I needed to relieve myself of that." He laughed as he set what he was holding down just long enough to rub the back of his neck. "That's enough about Cyrus, I believe. How about you tell me about yourself? Anything you want to share." He finished filling the tub as he spoke, eyeing Basil for a reaction.
-
Trying not to sit on what was left of his tail, Basil pulled his knees to his chest as the tub was slowly filled. He didn't look up at Trinity when he spoke to him, not wanting to hear more about Cyrus. He gazed off at nothing in particular, trying to form distance between himself and the older wolf. "I hate him.. And I don't use that word lightly." He mumbled and wiped his eyes for tears. He didn't want to cry in front of Trinity or any of the wolves for that matter. "I was a prince back home. The throne would've been mine in three years.. No one had been able to find us for as long as anyone could remember. We were practically cut off from the world and we liked it that way." He glanced at the other before staring back at nothing. "I also liked being around the young lambs. Funny that a prince would act as a babysitter for everyone's kids.. But they were always innocent and kindhearted."
-
Trinity instantly regret what he had said about Cyrus when he saw the look that Basil had on his face. The wolf looked away from him as he sat beside the tub, staring off into space. He had nothing else to do, and he didn't want to leave Basil alone in fear that the lamb might get hurt. "I can believe that. He was not kind to you. I apologize for bringing him up. Don't be sad," the other wanted to reach out his hand to help him wipe the tears away, but he held back, knowing he was merely a stranger to Basil. "A prince? So there was already a king and queen.. Your parents, correct?" He finally looked over, just in time to see the lamb looking at him. He smiled slightly. "We have plenty of pups that would love to be near you. Of course, I understand they might be a bit more scary."
