"Hopefully not. I don't feel like messing up my dress any further," she murmured. Tera held her hands behind her back and walked with a slight skip in her step. But the girl's second question startled her. Tera was quiet for a moment while she thought of a response.
"Is it wrong for someone to want to help a girl that she almost had killed by accident when said someone was tricked? I think not," was the response that she decided on. It wasn't the best response, but it was all that she could think of since she didn't quite know herself. -
"Hopefully," Claire said as they walked along back to the castle. She could feel her feet a bit wet and bloody from the running but she kept on walking. "Still, you nearly for me dead, but you did too though, huh?" she said looking to the ground then up to the woman. She felt a bit better but did not truly trust the woman what if she was lying and she was leading her to another trap. She jmkwpt calm though and pushed on.
-
"I suppose," Tera answered. The atmosphere was heavy, but that was to be expected. Not long ago, she was kidding the girl behind her.
Tera looked up at the castle as they reached it. "Now, princess, should I escort you to the front gates, or should I carry you back up to your room?" She asked the question is a teasing tone of voice. -
Claire looked up to the castle which stood talk in front of them. "The guard's would be suspicious of I walked up to the front gate, you know? Please, xoils you take me up to the room? It would be best for the both of us, I don't want my dad to wuestion me to why I was out at night like this and worry him," she pleased with the woman. "I'll do anything for you if you can do this for me," she added trying to persuade her into doing it.
-
Tera let out a little laugh. "I don't need to be bribed. It was an honest question." She looked up towards the girl's balcony. It was steep, but it was a wall, so it was to be expected.
Tera pulled a rope out of her bag along with a hook. She attached the hook to the rope, and then she climbed a nearby tree. Standing on a branch, she threw the hooked end of the rope up towards the balcony, and it hooked around a post on the railing.
After climbing down the tree, Tera tugged as hard as she could on the rope a few times. "Alright. This should be fine. I would just carry you up, but it would be difficult on this terrain." She crouched down. "Here. Get on my back." -
Sorry about all the misspelled words and such)
Claire walked up behind the woman and climbed onto her back holding her hands around her shoulders. " Still though, you're helping me and did not kill me, I need to make it up to you?" she asked smiling as she closed her eyes a bit and reopened them. "What will it be?" she asked looking to the woman. -
(It's fine, I don't mind. :3)
Tera stood up with the princess on her back. She carefully pulled her purple-gold hair onto her shoulder so it didn't get in the girl's face. She grabbed the rope, and began to climb up.
She smiled as the girl asked once again about a reward. "If you really want to do something for me, just don't do anything that might cause someone to want to kill you. I don't feel like having to actually kill you after trying so hard to keep you alive." They reached the top of the rope, and Tera grabbed onto the railing and pulled herself and the girl up. She dropped the princess down onto the ground, and began to gather her rope. -
Okay, it's just the autpcorrct messing me up)
Claire held onto the woman tightly so she would not fall off to the ground and get hurt or worse die. She kept her head up so she would not see how high up she was from the ground. She looked to the woman as they got to the top "okay, of that is what you want I'll try to keep them from wanting me dead." she said smiling a bit and standing up to her feet. "Thank you," she added as she stepped back a little bit. -
Smiling lightly, Tera nodded. "Don't worry about it. It's my fault that you were thrown out of this mess anyway. She leaned against the balcony railing and sighed. "It's still a bit unsettling though. How weak those people were, I mean." She frowned and looked at her feet. "My combat skills aren't very good, and I managed to easily defeat them. How..." She trailed off as she realized that she was speaking aloud.
-
"Okay." Claire said as she leaned her back against the outside wall of the balcony."You seemed great out there though, better than some I have seen here. " she said smiling as she closed her eyes." Could there be more coming as we speak? Stronger ones?" she asked worriedly as she looked to the ground.
-
"Thanks," Tera said. She looked across the top of the forest. There weren't any weird lights coming from inside the forest, so it didn't look like anything had followed her. "It's possible. But I recommend requesting that your guards watch your room more carefully tonight, to be sure. I should probably leave soon. An assassin and a princess speaking calmly like this wouldn't look very good to your people."
(You can let the king enter whenever.) -
"You're welcome," Claire said opening the door to her room and looking back to the woman. "You should at least come in and rest a bit, you must be tired after all this, I am." Claire said with a smile. She motioned for the woman to step into the room with her for a few to rest up as she held the door open.
(okay, I'll have him enter next post or one after) -
Tera hesitated. If she was caught, she would most likely be taken away. But at the same time, she didn't want to upset the girl. "...Alright. I'll say for a few minutes. That's all I can manage." She walked into the dimly lit room and leaned against a wall. It was definitely a princess's room. It was nicely decorated.
She leaned on the wall as she moved down to sit on the floor. She sprawled her legs out and sighed. It was nice to have a minute to relax every few days. -
Claire walked over to her bed and sat on it facing the woman. "Of any of them men come to find me I best be prpared" she said pulling out a small box which had a small compact staff that could extend and some daggers just in case. She reached over and got her bracelet putting it on as well. Afterwards she faces the woman again " so um... Could I know your name? I'm Claire, daughter to King Jack as you know." she said politely adjusting her bracelet.
Suddenly, she heard a tap on the door as it slowly crept open. A few guards walked in weapons drawn and behind them was a talk man, King Jack who walked in with an evil smile on his face. "It is over, surrender you two!" he demamnded. -
She sighed as the King burst into the room. She knew that a bit of rest wouldn't come easy. "Tera," she answered Claire, "Tera Mari."
She stood up and turned towards the King. "Well, you see, I don't use this 'surrender' word very much. Could I have a refresher on what it means?" She narrowed her eyes and added, "But I do know what 'it is over' means. And I don't feel like letting death win today."
