hey hey I love that you're the one I get to fall asleep to bc you always make me really happy and that's a great way to drift off )
Lovino hurriedly swiped at his eyes. Great, he'd scared Antonio half to death and now he'd made him move when he obviously wasn't healthy enough to do so. "I-It's just h-hard to talk about," he mumbled, hiccuping softly from the tears. "I-I live with with Nonno because my parents are dead," he stammered, the heart moniter spiking again as Lovino struggled, not ready to say more but feeling almost like he had to. "I...I-I..." his breathing hitched and he hid his face again, taking a few moments to catch his breath. -
Sillinae Newbieahhh I'm glad that you're the one I talk to before I fall asleep because you make me really happy too and it's actually really cute to be like 'ohohoho she's asleep' and idk why but it is but that makes me eeven happier bc you're just adorable
"Lovino, please." He pulled away a little, and he gently pulled Lovino's hands away from his face. His own hands went up to Lovino's cheeks, thumbs trying to wipe away the wet tracks. "You don't have to tell me, I promise. Don't push yourself, you're going to hurt yourself..." He was deathly afraid that Lovino was going to have another panic attack if he pushed himself to tell Antonio this story. Every spike of the heart monitor set Antonio on edge, and he tried to calm Lovino, not sure what he needed to do. -

Lovino was quiet for a while, before he slowly reached out and grabbed Antonio's hand with his own trembling one. "I-I promise I'll tell you someday, it's just...hard." he whispered, looking down. "I was there when they died. I saw it." he added, even quieter. The blood, the screaming, all of it, he'd watched. He cringed, gripping Antonio's hand a little tighter, trying to ward off the memories he'd managed to ignore for so long. -

"Oh Lovino..." He squeezed Lovino's hand in response, before leaning forward to hug him again. "It's okay." He whispered, closing his eyes. "We're okay, si? Take as long as you need." He pressed a small kiss to Lovino's nose, taking a deep breath. "Just breathe, okay? Don't think about that, you can tell me some other day when it won't so bad, okay? Think about things that make you happy, not sad." -
Oh, before I forget to tell you, I'm going to ny until sunday(?) to visit my family. I'll have wifi most of the time, but I might not be on much, sorry! I might have my phone a bit more but idk :c I'm leaving tomorrow, packing today)
Lovino nodded, obediently taking a deep breath. "...Thanks," he whispered, finally looking up at him. "I...I love you, a-and I know it's weird and early for me to say but you're nice to me and protect me and even when you have a f---ing concussion you're more worried about me and I..." he paused, sighing, not having meant to ramble on. "I just thought you should know," he finished in a small voice. -

Antonio let out a long breath, a small smile spread across his face. "Two days ago you said 'ti amo' when you fell asleep." He admitted quietly, sitting back and looking Lovino in the eyes. He had wondered if Lovino remembered that at all, although now he apparently had his answer. He had thought maybe it just slipped out, but... "Lovino, do you know what 'te quiero' means?" He asked instead, smiling gently. -
I'll try and get on as much as I can, and the ride there is four hours so I just have my phone for all of that ^^ )
Lovino's eyes widened and he blushed. Of course, of course he would be the one to say something like that and forget about it. The Spanish confused him, but the phrase sounded familiar. "...No, but you were saying it a lot on the way to the hospital." He froze for a moment, suddenly concerned. "Does something hurt? Is something wrong?" He asked hurriedly. The true meaning had never even occured to him, he was just glad Antonio didn't seem to mind him saying it. -

Antonio laughed. He'd never be one to call Lovino stupid, but it was amazing that he hadn't connected the dots. "No, no, it's not that." He said, grinning. "Lovino, 'te quiero' means I love you." He couldn't remember saying it on the way to the hospital, but he didn't remember anything from then. He had said it earlier he knew though, and he was surprised that Lovino hadn't even tried to figure out what it was on his own. -
ahhh last time you did that I turned so red omfg
Lovino blushed darker feeling rather stupid. He was the one tutoring Antonio, and he'd missed something as obvious as that. "O-Oh," he answered numbly, looking down, a small smile on his face. Antonio loved him. Loved him. He couldn't help but hug him tightly, giggling happily, feeling stupidly embarrassed but overjoyed. -

Antonio's grin grew wider, a snort of his own escaping when he heard Lovino's laughing. "Te quiero, Lovinito," He said happily, hugging him back. "I love you, and your eyes, and your nose, and your mouth, and your cheeks..." He rambled a bit, pressing a small kiss to each feature as he listed it. It felt cheesy and over the top, but he couldn't have cared less at thay point. -

also like half my cousins have August bdays, I'm wrapping presents, so I might be slow, sorry! )
Lovino blushed, unable to keep from smiling shyly, pecking him quickly in return for each compliment. Needless to say, the nurse did not expect to walk in on the two boys kissing, and she very nearly dropped the food trays. "Um, excuse me?" Lovino jumped, yelped, and turned scarlet, scrambling off of Antonio. -

Antonio was in too good of a mood to be embarrassed anymore, although the nurse's and Lovino's startled expressions were extremely amusing to him. He couldn't help it when he started laughing, hard enough to make his head pound. He leaned in and kissed Lovino again, not really caring about the indignant look on the nurse's face, before getting up and stumbling back over to his own bed. He fell back onto his bed, covering his eyes again and still giggling to himself. -

Lovino huddled back in his bed, blushing, but similarly to Antonio, too pleased to act too ashamed about getging caught. "Didn't the doctor tell you two to relax?" The nurse scolded, setting two trays of thankfully not stale food down on the small desk in between their beds. She huffed, straightened her uniform, scowled at them both, and hurried out. Lovino rolled his eyes after her, Antonio's admittedly adorable giggles from earlier still ringing in his ear. -

Antonio made a face at the nurse's retreating form, sticking out his tongue. "If she's so concerned about our conditions she shouldn't talk so loud." He whispered rebelliously, grinning widely over Lovino, and erupting into another fit of laughter when he caught Lovino's eye roll. All the moving around admittedly was making his head throb, but it was more than worth it from his point of view. He looked over at Lovino, raising an eyebrow. "Do you think the doctor will be mad if I'm still in your bed when he comes back?" -
