(Oh, by the way, I really like the plot to "Love Me, Captain" if you're willing to do two RPs with me. It would also be really fun as a FxF, but I can see why you'd enjoy MxM too.)
He eyes lit up when he combined the excitement of receiving a point with the realization that it was all a huge competition. If Milo wanted the other Slytherins to like him, he could participate more and win points. It wouldn't be hard, especially in classes like Care of Magical Creatures or Potions. He could do this. "Okay. Thanks," he replied, flipping his textbook open to the right page. -
(Oh yeah totally! I really only do mxm though because I'm really bad at identifying well with female characters. Do you want me to make a thread for it?)
Jasper nodded, looking back to his book. The teacher had already thoroughly explained how they would make the potion, and now he was just needlessly droning on about why it was important to avoid breathing the fumes while making it. Bored, Jasper was just drowning out this talking by drawing on his homework from the night before with his quill. He ended up with vines and swirls all up the side of the page before the professor finally said they could start working on the potion. he groaned, though, when Slughorn said they'd have to work with whoever was already at their tables. "Okay, mudblood, looks like you get to prove yourself worthy of Potions making." -
(Ah, that's cool. Sure!)
He sighed, deciding against responding. He couldn't let stuff like that get to him. He just... couldn't. Instead of responding to the comment, he grabbed a few of the bowls at their table. "I'm going to go grab the ingredients we need, do you mind getting the cauldron ready?" -
(cool cool)
Jasper kept his book open to the page that they would need, that had the instructions for what they needed to do, and put all of the rest of his stuff away. "Yeah, sure," he said, nodding. He would have to try to one up Milo, just to prove that Hogwarts had taught him better magic than Salem would have taught it. -
(They're working on it together, right?)
He brought back their ingredients and set them on the table, then turned to his book for instructions. "I'll start with the moonstone if you don't mind crushing up the porcupine quills?" he offered, looking through their ingredients and and waiting for a response. He knew the other would probably try to cheat his way through making Milo fail, if it meant that he could prove a point. It was kind of disappointing, honestly. -
(yep if that's cool)
While Milo went and got together what they would need, Jasper prepared the cauldron. He put it over the flame, once he got that started too, and put in the half a cup of water to let it simmer. Once Milo got back, he looked over what he'd brought to make sure they had everything, and then nodded. "Sounds fine," he said, carefully getting the porcupine quills to set them in front of him. He got the mortar and pestle, putting the quills in and starting to grind them up.
