Riley watched the girl from afar. His Boss, Queen Roa, had ordered him to wait until the morning of the girls birthday to aproach her, for her power would not be ready yet. It was the day before the girls birthday and he waited silently in the shadows, scanning for enemies.

"Calanthe! Calanthe!" Queen Eavan yells. "Yes Mother." Calanthe run from her room trying not to fall down the stairs. "Will you pick some apples for the gathering?". "Yes Mother!". Calanthe takes the apple basket and walks through the big steel door. Calanthe walks the longest path to get to the Apple garden.

Riley followed the princess. He heard a crack in the woods and got closer to the girl, but made sure to stay out of sight. He scanned the area the noise had come from and saw only a deer. He sighed lightly and continued

Calanthe always enjoyed nature and she loved to see the animals. She began to hum a tune that the animal's naturally liked to hear from the Princess. She reaches the garden and see's a big, beautiful red apple. She picks some apples and sits down under one of the trees, while the forest animals surround her.

Riley smiled at the princess as the animals surrounded her. All of the Nature Sprites could speak to animals, but none of them were as close to them as the princess was. Riley had a bunny friend named Freddy that helped him watch the princess, and reported back to him if something was amiss.

Birds, rabbits, deers/fawns, every animal surrounded her. She felt happiness when she was with them. She'd pet them and cuddle with them as if they were her pets. She started to hum again as the animals listened with happiness on their faces.

Riley allowed himself to relax a little and sat down, listening to the princess hum. Suddenly Freddy came darting towards him, with a worried look. Riley got up and picked Freddy up. "What is it?" he asked quiety. Freddy let out a little squeak before saying
"Darkness" -
"Isn't it a lovely day today in Armathain?" Calanthe asked the animals. They made noises in response of Calanthe question. She laughed and smiles as the animals played together. "What can go wrong on a day like this?".
