Riley smiled and interlocked their fingers when they got to the palace. "Don't be nervous, she's not mad." he said.
Just then Roa walked into the room. She stopped and looked at them, and then their hands. She raised and eyebrow and smiled lightly. "Well, what do we have here?" -
Calanthe smiled and nodded. "She's not mad." kept replaying in Calanthe as she saw her mother walk in. She let go of Riley's hand and smiled. "Good morning mother." She said changing the situation.

Roa smiled brightly and hugged Calanthe tightly. "Happy Birthday Calanthe!" she said happily. "I'm glad you're here"
Riley smiled and let out a smile sigh of relief that Calanthe changed the subject -
"Thank you." Calanthe said hugging her back. Calanthe smiled as she was nervous that her mother would thinkmof her and Riley as a couple.

Roa let go and smiled. "Come with me. Riley can you wait here, I want to speak with Calanthe alone."
Riley nodded "Of course, Queen Roa" -
Calanthe's eyes widen as she followed her mother into the other room. "What did you want to talk about?" Calanthe asked as she sat down on a chair.

Roa sat down in a chair next to Calanthe. "Calanthe, you're sixteen now so Riley is going to start teaching you things. At first it going to be hard, and you won't understand, but I need you to try. You are so special, Calanthe. You're going to change lives" she said

"Change lives? I don't think I'm ready for that kind of responsibility." Calanthe said looking at her mother. "I think its gonna be harder to focus then understand." Calanthe muttered under her breath.

Roa smiled "Not right away, but you'll change lives when you're older. And one day, if you want, you'll take my place as Queen."

Calanthe smiled but then looked away. "What about Armathain?" She asked looking at Queen Roa.

Roa smiled and put a hand on Calanthe's knee. "No matter what you decide, I'll support you." she said

Calanthe smiled and nodded. "Thank you." Calanthe smiled and hugged her.

Roa hugged back. She let go and pulled a ring and a watch like Riley's out of her pocket. She held up the ring. "This was your grandmother's. Her grandmother gave it to her on her sixteenth birthday and she gave it to me on mine." She pressed it into Calanthes hand with a smile. "And now I'm giving it to you." She handed her the watch. "This is so you can talk to me or Riley or anyone else with one of these whenever you want."

She looked at the ring and it was beautiful. She smiled and put on the rings. She then took the watch and put it on. "It's beautiful. Thank you mother." Calanthe said as she hugged Queen Roa tightly. She nodded and looked at the watch.

Roa hugged back and let go. "Of course" she smiled brighttly. "Alright that's all I wanted to talk with you about. Do you have questions?"
