"..Maybe I can lower it. Untie it from the trees and tie it lower, so it wont be a far drop. Put some bedding under it, too. I know I slept in it when I was young with my mother. I'll make it safe for our pups." Rhonen gave her a gentle squeeze and shrugged, unsure of Aniel's future. "He might, he might not. He's actually different, at least he feels different. As you've noticed, he's actually the only one of us with white hair. There are some elders with gray, but no one's been born with white hair like his. Maybe his father had it? I don't remember.."
"It's just deep, calm down." He cringed, shaking a bit as he carefully lifted her. He honestly didn't want to go into the kingdom, not at all. If they found out he was a werewolf, they'd have him killed. Or torture him until he told them where the others were. -
"We still need a bed," She persisted, giving him a quick kiss. "If not for sleeping, then for.. Other things," Nevaeh explained, punctuating the sentence by pressing a tender kiss to his neck. As he explained about Aniel, her amusement died, and she frowned. "..Well, either way. I'll just take care of him regardless. He's such a sweet little boy.."
Lynna nodded, and tried to do as he said, settling against his chest. She closed her eyes, leaning close to his warmth, listening to her heartbeat so that she could match her breathing to it. "Or.. We could go see your healer? I don't want you getting in trouble," She suggested, inhaling. -
"I know we do, sweetheart. We need something sturdy for our pup-making." Rhonen smiled and leaned down to kiss her. "We'll make the new room for us, then another for Aniel once he's older. And I never said him being different was an issue, just that he may be different growing up."
"Gee that's awfully nice of you to actually care about my well being. Are you sure you want to give up your fancy doctors for old natural medicine in the woods? Ours is effective, but much more painful, you know." Jule scanned the ground, using sticks or branches to set off Nevaeh's traps when he found them. He was going to have a few choice words for that huntress. -
(Jule going to yell at Nevaeh and her just smirking and going "You're so upset over Lynna getting hurt. Are you suuuuure you don't like her?)
"Don't be so.. Blunt about it," Nevaeh sighed, shaking her head. Rhonen had no idea how to be discrete about things, she had quickly figured out. Perhaps he didn't have much need for it, but she would still like it better that way. The huntress nodded at the comment, chewing on her lip. "I know. I know.. Oh, would you mind if I.. Well, see, I need to go back to my house at some point to get some things. I know you all don't really need them, but I want my combs and pots and clothes from home. Would it be possible to get them?"
"..It's not that I care about you well being," Lynna hissed, frowning, "But rather that if I was with you and you get caught, I'll get my head cut off for treason. And, anyways, I don't care about pain." -
("N-No..! I just didn't want Rhonen mad at me for letting your friend get hurt!")
"Sorry. Like I said, we usually don't mind each other, mates and all. Being secretive isn't the norm with us." The wolf chuckled and nuzzled her cheek, holding her close. "I'll escort you if you really want to go. Don't grab more than you need."
He rolled his eyes. "Oh please. I know your kind. You would sell us out to save your own skin if they gave you the opportunity." Still, Jule headed back towards the camp and his pack. -
("Mm, was that a stutter? Sooooomebody has a cruuuush.")
"It's not called being secretive.. It's called being discrete," She huffed, but smiled at the nuzzle, ruffling his hair. "I love you, so much.. And I wont. I'll just get what I need," She promised, glad to have a chance to see all her girls one more time.
"Oh, so you assume. Just like your kind to do that.." She sneered, but winced as her leg brushed against his arm. "That freaking hurts.." -
("Shut up! *blush*")
"Same thing!" Rhonen grinned and let her go, moving to her side and taking her hand. "I love you, too. I'll be sure to keep you safe from any hunters." He watched Aniel for a while longer then whistled for the boy to come over. "Let's head back, get some dinner, then turn in for the night."
"You do the same thing, hypocrite. You humans are disgusting, the way you try to accuse everyone else of certain things that you do yourselves." He scoffed and kept moving. -
("You know, Lynna's just gonna loooove hearing about this~")
"Mhm, I think I can take care of myself, but thank you, Rho," She hummed, smiling at him as she wove their fingers together. Nevaeh quickly decided she would rather get to work of fixing the hammock when they got back. "Actually, if you two wanna eat, I can move the hammock down a bit more while you're doing that.."
She rolled her eyes. "You just keep on changing the subject whenever we try to talk about your faults. Those rumors had to come from somewhere!" -
("I'll..I'll cut off all of your hair! You'll look real funny as a wolf then!")
"I want to be there, just in case." He brought her hand up to kiss it and pet Aniel's head, frowning at the suggestion. "Let me do it. You haven't eaten at all since you've been here. Pups don't like it when their mother doesn't eat."
"My faults happen to be humanity's faults, in case you hadn't noticed. You're all a bunch of cowards that hide behind your precious kingdom walls when the going gets tough." Jule made a snort as he entered the brush that would take them straight to Rayne. "I should've left you in that trap.." -
("And I'll cut off your d---~")
"..I haven't?" Nevaeh frowned, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, that's right. I haven't. I suppose we should all eat.. We can take care of it tomorrow, I guess," She decided, giving Aniel a thin smile.
"You know what? I've officially decided that your new name is Jackass. If you should've left me in the trap, why don't you put me down right here, then, Jackass?" She suggested, knocking him upside the head with the back of her hand. -
("And Rhonen will have your head. Remember who's the future alpha's mate here~")
Nevaeh laughed, shaking her head at Aniel's comment. She followed Rhonen out, watching the water drip off her skin. Her ankle wasn't swollen anymore, so she broke away for a moment to take the wrap off, flexing it carefully.
"I'm not going to shut up, because you're rude, and I like annoying you. You're acting like a child, Jackass," She shot back, glaring at him. This man was getting on her last nerves, and she was one rude word away from letting her good foot make contact with his hard candies.
(Yesss) -
(Then Jule proceeds to storm off, grumbling to himself.)
"Looks a lot better. Must not have been broken after all." Rhonen smiled at her as he let go to shake off and put his pants back on. Aniel followed his adopted father's example, shaking and putting his own clothing on.
"I swear to God if you don't shut up, I'll shove tree bark in your mouth. Have fun picking out those splinters." He let out a sigh of relief when he reached the medical shelter and hurried Lynna inside, only to leave her with Rayne. He couldn't stand being around her any longer, not with the mixed feelings between his heart and brain. -
The huntress nodded, testing it. It was still sore, but it was certainly better, but she was sure that she had broken it. As Rhonen and Aniel were getting ready to leave, she felt the heat take over again. Nevaeh inhaled, frowning. "I think I need to stay in the water a bit longer.. I'll be up in a couple minutes, alright?" She didn't wait for an answer before heading back towards the lake.
Lynna hissed at him one last time before he left, rolling her eyes. She turned to Rayne, and gave the lady a smile. "Um. Hi." -
Rhonen didn't want to leave his mate alone, not for even a moment, but bit his lip and nodded. "All right. Be careful. Use your nose, and if anything smells off, hurry back to camp. We'll make sure no one finds out where we are, one way or another." He gave her a kiss before she got too far than headed back with Aniel.
"..This has to be the most tension between lovers that I've ever seen." The older woman gave a hearty laugh as she removed Lynna's boots and went about cleaning her leg. "Are all of you girls injury prone?" -
Nevaeh nodded at his advice, diving under the water, swimming until she needed to come up for air. After that, she kept going above water until she was at about the middle of the lake. It was cold, and every now and then, a fish would brush against her leg. Eventually, after a while, she turned back, and walked up on shore, inhaling.
"Lovers? Um, I think not. He's so not my type," Lynna huffed, and shrugged at the comment, though she winced when Rayne started on her leg. It hurt a good deal, but she kept her mouth shut.
