She nodded again, but this time didn't say anything, still cozy in his arms. She really could have just fallen asleep there, but she wasn't sure that Rhonen would have been able to wake her up. She was a really deep sleeper, and she didn't feel like risking it. Nevaeh committed to waiting until after the bath.
Lynna inhaled, but nodded, looking up at him. "You're going to keep an eye on Nevaeh, right? I'm sure that Rover guy will keep her safe, but just to be sure," She requested.
(When is he going to feeeel it.) -
After finding Aniel, Rhonen took his family to the lake, noticing the sun starting to go down. He carefully set Nevaeh down, going to undo his pants but stopped, watching Aniel struggle to get his shirt off. He laughed and helped the boy undress, letting him run out to the water to paddle around while Rhonen got his pants off again. He looked at Nevaeh with a smile. "Leaving my shirt on again?"
Jule pinched the bridge of his nose with a sigh. "Our chief would hate you with every essence of his being. Rhonen is more than capable of taking care of his mate of his own. He may not look very big, but he'll mess someone up that attacks his family. He prefers to avoid conflict unless it's necessary."
(Oh he's feelin' it. He's just really good at ignoring it.) -
Nevaeh smiled at she watched them, knowing that this was so unbelievably right. She had never felt this amount of happiness before in her life. The huntress almost didn't answer his question, but she nodded. Nevaeh knew that though Rhonen had seen all of her, there was no reason to show it to him again. Not then and there. There would be a time for that later. She moved to get up, brushing those thoughts aside. Her ankle was sore, but she was able to put a bit of weight on it without it being too bad.
"I feel like you already hate me enough to suffice for your whole pack," She huffed, waving a hand at him. "But really. I'm sure Robert can protect her and all, but I mean.. Make sure she's happy. Getting sleep and eating and such. She'll put off eating and just keep forgetting about it, you know," She warned.
(Lynna refuses to remember Rhonen) -
Rhonen took her hand, same as before, and helped her into the water. He whistled for Aniel to come back when he paddled out too far. "Bath first, then you can swim around." He told the pup once he and Nevaeh were waist deep. Aniel simply nodded as he swam over to his adopted parents.
The wolf was at the brink of wanting to throw the girl as far as he could in the direction of the kingdom. How could someone so dense be his soulmate? His cheeks tinted as he growled. "You're a real moron, you know that? Rhonen will take care of her. It ain't my job to babysit her. Actually, my job is to hunt for food. I don't care who eats it, I just catch it." -
Nevaeh couldn't stop grinning. Rhonen was a natural father, and it made her heart flutter to see them interact. Still holding onto one of Rhonen's hands, she reached out to pat Aniel's cheek. "Wash your face and hair really good, sweetheart," She reminded him, before turning ba k to Rhonen. "I think after this, we should turn in. We can get a bunch of blankets and put them next to our bed for Aniel.." She paused, biting her lip. "Unless he should stay somewhere else tonight? So that he doesn't see things he's not supposed to?"
Lynna cocked an eyebrow, leaning back against a tree. "You know what, you are so not cute," She huffed, a little angry that he was being so rude. She planted her feet firmly on the ground, refusing to move untik they reached an agreement. "At least tell Nevaeh's mate what I said?" -
(Did I ever distinguish Aniel's hair color?)
"Okay." The pup smiled and dipped his head in the water, splashing some over his face and rubbing his cheeks. He stopped moving to let Rhonen comb through his tangled hair with his fingers, leaning back and relaxing into the combing. Although, when the older got stuck on knots, Aniel whined at the pulling.
"I don't live to be cute for a human, so I really don't care." Of course he wanted her to be attracted to him, more than anything, but he'd never admit that. Jule groaned in annoyance when she stopped, turning to glare at her. "I don't need to tell anyone anything. He knows what to do to take care of her. He's not an idiot like you." -
(No I don't think so)
"Oh, careful," Nevaeh scolded at the pulling, but knew it was needed. She settled against Rhonen's chest, staring at her pup as she repeated her question. "Where should he sleep tonight, Rho?"
Lynna narrowed her eyes. "You do care. I'm good at reading men, boy. You all have such obvious tells.. Anyways, you're going to tell him, as a favor to me. Or I'll make sure to visit every chance I get. And I'll even bring the other three girls with me! How about that?" -
(It's white :3)
"Do you want to do it?" Rhonen asked kindly. Her fingers were smaller and likely more nimble. He also felt bad about not answering her question the first time she'd asked. "Oh.. Sorry. Um. He can sleep in bed with you, or we can make us all fit. He needs to sleep near at least one of us to keep warm."
"Visit all you want, we're not going to send you with a guide next time. Oh, and I hope you realize if hunters or your precious king figure out where we are because one of you blabs, they'll kill your friend for treason and because she's one of us now. Either way, you lose. Get over it and start walking or I carry you again." -
She nodded, moving to take over, coming her fingers through the damp snowy hair. When she came to a knot, she would hold the hair under the knot, so that he didn't feel the pulling as she tugged it out. "Hm.. You're right. He does need to be close to us.. Rhonen, how are we going to go about.. You know, other pups if he has to share a bed with us?"
"..You're rude," She finally concluded, glaring at him. "But you're also interesting." -
Aniel felt his hair slowly start to unravel and became anxious to move around after standing there for so long. He knew they would need privacy eventually to have his brothers and sisters, so he spoke up. "I can stay with Rayne. Or if the Alpha will let me, with him and Rho's momma. Whenever you decide to have more that is."
"You're very kind, Aniel. I'm sure grandma and grandpa will let you sleep with them." Rhonen smiled, kissing the side of his head.
"And you're repetitive. Now, can you start walking? Or do you prefer being over my shoulder?" He crossed his arms, impatiently tapping his foot.
(Have a Jule.) -
(He's really freaking cuuuute)
"There. All done," Nevaeh smiled, letting him go, knowing he needed to release his pent up energy. "Don't swim out too deep, please," She reminded him, turning her attention back onto Rhonen. She swayed, grinning. "We should look at building a bigger home," She suggested, knowing that if she had as many pups as she wanted, they would need more room.
Lynna huffed, and took a step forward, only to let out a scream as one of Nevaeh's metal traps slammed shut on her leg. She stumbled, falling, which only made it worse. -
(Damn straight)
Aniel nodded and swam around, going no deeper than his collar bone and dunking under now and then. Rhonen watched him for a bit then gave Nevaeh his attention. He grinned with her and nodded. "We can do that, add onto my old room. You can lay in the swing bed with the pups when we have them."
Jule's eyes went wide as he ran back to help her. "Hold still.." He told her as he began to pry the metal trap open. He'd have to carry her now for sure. -
"Mm. That sounds good.. We'll need a bigger bed, though. And some more blankets.. Oh, and I should see about baby clothes," She mumbled, worrying about everything. She put her back against Rhonen's chest, watching Aniel carefully.
Lynna said some very unlike lady things as she pulled her free. Her leg was bloody and torn, and though she wasn't crying, it very clearly hurt. -
(I take it the group one ain't comin back...)
"That bed could hold us and more. For now, it'll be fine. And when they get bigger, they can help keep each other warm when it's not winter." Rhonen wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her close and resting his chin on her head. "Aniel will hold his own heat by the time he's seventeen or eighteen. His maturity in a few years will have him fluctuating."
Jule rolled his eyes and carefully pulled off his shirt. "Here. This'll at least least you from bleeding everywhere." He told her as he secured the fabric around her injury, tying it at the sleeves. -
(I don't know.)
"..Sweetheart, with all those pups squirming around, someone could get squished, or someone could fall out and get hurt. It's not safe. We'll need a bed on the floor," She explained, humming softly as she listened to him talk. "By then he'll have met his mate, hm? Or has he already? I didn't ask."
"It'll keep me from bleeding? You can see the bone in places!" She yelled, glaring at him. "You'll have to take me to a doctor."
