Cassiel rolled his eyes. He found Harry's sudden excitement cute. He couldn't help but get a little excited himself. "Whatever works, Harry." He smirked, "You know I can't make decisions for s---." It was true. Cassiel always had decisions made for him so he had no need to make decisions. Everything was always set for him. He looked into the bright sky, the sun was blinding. He liked the sun. It was sparkly and warm. In a weird way, he wished to be like the sun.
-
"Thaaat works too!" He announced, looking around. "It's just about the right time for bar hopping. Starting to get dark. Let's do that. Then, strippers. Of various genders for our viewing pleasure." He looped his arm around Cassiel's, and started leading the way to the nearest pub he saw, across the street. "Isn't it great to be pretty much immortal? Unlimited money, Cassy, we have the world in our hands."
-
He didn't mind Harry calling him by his nickname at that moment. It barely annoyed him when he called him it. Cassiel nodded, "Yeah. Well, for as long as we are allowed to stay on the world, that is." He stated, looking to Harry. "We rarely get to come here, after all." He managed a sad sigh. "It's a pity." He stated. The blondie grit his teeth a little, a bad habit that had grown onto him like a parasite.
-
"Hm. Yeah, I guess so," Harry sighed, really disappointed to remember that he'd have to return to hell in a matter of days, if not just hours. "It is. But for now, we will enjoy the time we have, starting here." He pulled Cassiel into the building, which was already packed. It was just a typical bar, packed with hardly-over-21's from the nearby universities. "I really like New York," Harry hummed, finding two empty seats at the long bar for him and Cassiel. He ordered two beers, to start Heaven off easy.
-
Cassiel gave him a skeptical look for a moment. But it didn't last long. As usual, he remained confident and easy going. He trusted Harry, and he hoped he hadn't made a mistake by trusting him. Cassiel told himself he hadn't, and legitimately believed it, too. He dwelled on that for a moment. The thought made him smile to himself. He loved being with Harry. It was so fun, so easy. It was the time of his life whenever they were together. He would later fall into despair for the having to return home, but now it was time to live in the glorious moment.
-
Harry folded his hands together on the table while waiting for their drinks, looking around. He'd heard of televisions, and knew what they were, but he'd never seen them in real life until now. Huh, he thought, it was pretty big. Finally, the drinks arrived, and he pushed one towards Cassiel. "Drink up, buddy."
-
Cassiel give him a skeptical look for a minute. Shakily, he grabbed the bottle. He reached it up to his lips, not shifting his eyes from Harry. He took a gulp, on impulse. "Damn, talk about strong." Cassiel made a face and laughed a little bit. It was very strong and odd tasting. Cassiel had only really had communion when it came to alcohol, and that was nothing, and usually watered down. Of course, sometimes him and the angels would have a glass of wine, but he enjoyed that. Cassiel had grew up drinking wine, after all. After all, it said in the Bible to think of Jesus's blood as wine.
-
Harry couldn't help but laugh a little as Cassiel's reaction, trying to imagine what he would say when they got to the stronger stuff. "Cassy, I'm worried if you think that's strong. That's hardly anything." He took a long drink from his, and it went down like water, since he was so used to drinking.
-
"Be worried. Honestly, I'm worried to see what else you have planned for this evening." Cassiel admitted with a laugh. "Keep in mind I grew up on communion and wine- not whatever the hell this is." He smirked for a moment. He was having a good time. He couldn't stop smiling. This was a very good thing.
-
"Then be worried, because it will definitely be a little sinful." Harry practically soit out his drink when he heard Cassiel call the beer 'whatever this is', but he managed to swallow it down. "This, I'll have you know, is the simplest pleasure mankind has given to us. It is a casual way to enjoy yourself, given to us by the greatest that mankind has to offer."
-
Cassiel laughed a bit, saying, "You're ridiculous, but whatever." He managed to take another sip of the drink he had in front of him. This time it was less traumatic, but it still tasted nothing like icecream to him. He was only doing this for the sake of doing it- which was an odd thing to think about. Cassiel wondered what had lead up to agreeing to this, and why in the hell he agreed to it in the first place. Even if he was out of his mind, there was nothing wrong with that for a night, he supposed.
-
Harry shrugged in response, going back to his drink. He managed to finish it rather quickly, and pushed it towards the bartender to have it refilled. "Cassiel, are their any sins in particular you'd like to make before we have to go back?" While there were plenty of things that Harry could think of, he was sure Cassiel might know something he was forgetting.
-
"Not really." He stated simply. "As long as we don't go around mass murdering people I'm down I guess." What he said was pure truth, as he rarely lied. The only reason he would lie was to protect someone, Cassiel decided that ages ago. It was weird that it was just coming back to him now. Such a distant thought, what a distant memory. Odd. He enjoyed going back to his past memories, it was a nice throwback. There were some not so good memories, but he always laughed at them. The pain of those memories was far away from him now, anyways.
-
"Sounds fair enough," Harry agreed. After all, it wouldn't be a good idea to go around killing people because both of their bosses would immediately call them home. "Alright, I think I've got a plan, but it'll be a suprise."
-
"Fine, surprises work I guess." Cassiel decided to take another swig of beer. He was getting used to the taste by now, but he still didn't prefer it. He itched at his arm, looking down on his pure white suit. It was impeccably clean, just the way he liked it. He hoped he didn't get it dirty tonight. This was just a hope, though. He mainly just wanted to have fun tonight, no matter what the cost may be. Living in the moment wasn't so bad, he decided.
