Antonio nodded, "I did too. My parents let me go to one of those arts high schools and I went to college for acting, too." He smiled proudly, and with a glance around, saw the crew was getting ready to go outside. "I like this scene," he commented, "it's very emotional."
-
Lovino made a quiet noise and barely resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "You're lucky. My parents hate that I never got a 'real job'." He watched the equipment being moved outside and started to follow, though he didn't stray far from Antonio for some reason. "I...I like it too. Iit's very well written. I feel like Santiago finally proves that he's not just flirting, that he actually feels something, and Mason finally stops hidung from everything, and..." he quieted quickly, blushing and realizing he was rambling.
-
"Awe. But you'll prove them wrong with this movie, right?" He suggested. If this movie turned out as good as he hoped it would, any parent should be proud. He started following Lovino outside, grinning enthusiastically. "Right? It's very sweet."
-
Lovino shrugged. "I f---ing hope so," he mumbled, mostly to himself. His father was nearly impossible to please. Lovino spat a string of less-than-polite words as they stepped outside, the cold rain immediately hitting him. The director walked up then, holding an umbrella and grinning. "Remember, you two are fighting at first. Lovino, you're heartbroken. Antonio, you're angry. And remember, don't hit him too hard." Lovino cringed. He'd forgotten that Antonio had to slap him right before they kissed.. He shuddered and crossed his arms, not particularly looking forward to that. "And then for the kiss, I need passion. You guys are in love. I need to see that." Lovino, looking terribly unenthusiastic, nodded.
-
Antonio hoped that, especially for Lovino's sake, the movie went well. It was the first big one for the both of them, so it might be their big break. When they stepped into the rain, the Spaniard frowned a little, and the expression turned into a cringe when he remembered he was going to hit Lovino. And, it didn't get much better knowing that Lovino wasn't going to feel better with a kiss. "Okay, I think we're ready."
-
Lovino took a deep breath, jumping a little when the sharp 'action!' was called. He stormed into the camera's view, thick droplets of icy water like bullets against his bare arms. "I hate you!" He yelled. "Leave me alone! You told..." he turned back to Antonio. "You told me I could trust you...Who was she? Did you tell her you loved her too?!"
-
Antonio followed just a few seconds after him, swinging his arms out in an angry gesture. "Why would I tell her that? I told you that I love you! I'm not sharing that with anyone! You're misunderstanding all of this!"
-
"Then explain it! You don't dance like that with friends, Santiago! You don't kiss friends like that! You don't kiss me like that!" He shouted back. He didn't have to make any effort to look shaken up, the freezing combined with hearing Antonio say 'I love you' had him trembling.
-
Antonio had to take a second to mentally prepare himself; he balled his hands up, looked hurt, and then swung one of his hands forward. He hit him just hard enough to make it realistic, but he felt so terrible doing it. In real life, he would never, never hit someone he loved. But, for the movie. "I-" he stepped back, and just like in the script, made himself look terribly guilty, which wasn't too hard. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have hit you."
-
Lovino cried out, not altogether prepared for the slap. He clutched his cheek and stared at him wide-eyed. "...I hate you." he whispered, knowing the microphones would pick it up. "I l-loved you."
-
Antonio stared at him, giving a dramatic pause of effect. After a second, he said, "But I still love you."
-
ahhh omfg sorry this is so late my connection died but it should be fixed now)
Then Lovino froze. He was supposed to be the one to kiss Antonio first, but he just... couldn't. He was frozen still, the icy rain continuing to pound down on them, nervous tears stinging his eyes. Antonio was staring at him again, and even through the silver sheen of raindrops he could make out the green of his irises. Lovino shook his head slightly, eyes wide, looking a bit like a cornered animal. He just couldn't kiss him. -
(That's fine! Yay i'm glad it sucks to not have internet~)
Antonio could tell after a few moments that Lovino simply wasn't going to kiss him, and the Spaniard sighed heavily. The director called cut, and started rattling, "Whoah, what was that? It was almost perfect!" Antonio deadpanned with embarrassment, walking off to stand next to one of the cameras since they were covered by umbrellas. -
it does omg)
Lovino cringed, wrapping his arms around himself in a small attempt to fight off the cold. "S-Sorry, sorry," he looked down. "I'm sorry, I just..." he bit his lip, searching for an excuse. "I thought Antonio was supposed to kiss me first." he said in a small voice. He wished it hadn't shaken him so much, it was stupid of him to be getting so worked up over this. -
Antonio was sure that Lovino simply didn't want to kiss him, and was trying to consider how this scene could possibly be filmed if the Italian wouldn't even do the most important part. The director sighed, and said, "No, you kiss him. He hits you, he says his line, and then you grab his shirt and you kiss him. Got it?"
