firhawk noticed the girl step into the building and looked at her. "it is a nice place, this "inn"... it will make great for a nights rest." he then looks around and checks his book, a dummies guide to the blue sea, and looks back to the little girl. "so, according to this guide, there should be someone who checks me in. do you happen to know where and who that person is?" a little impatient at the moment, firhawk begins searching under cushions and behind books in an attempt to find the person who's supposed to check him in.
---
Skoova, having nothing better to do, follows the girl inside soon after she left, entering the room soon after firhawk had began rummaging through the household. while the native was distracted, skoova leaned into the girls ear and whispered "hes quite the odd one, isn't he? then again, im a lizard man! guess you can't really get much weirder than that, huh? keheheheh!" skoova snickered as himself, afterwards taking a deep sniff into the air, but he did not bring a pleasant face after he was done but instead, a face of uncertainty or impending doom... -
Marielle fell onto the ground when Lilli shook her off, "Oh, pirates come around here? That's cool. There must be a lot of fights and stuff." Marielle said calmly then remembered about the shooting range, "Soooooo Lilli are we going to go to the shooting range?~" She sang suddenly excited, Marielle hopped in front of Lilli, "Please, I'll be good I promise." Marielle pouted with huge puppy dog eyes pleading to go. "Pleeease."
--
Lillian closed her eyes and rocked back on her heels to think about this, she listened slightly to Marielle, at the last plead Lilli made the mistake of opening her eyes and looking at Marielle. Lilli twitched slightly looking away, but kept looking back at Marie. "Ughhh, fine. We can go, but.. Never mind. Miss if you really don't mind could you please show us the way." Lillian looked away from the girls, "Tsk, stupid little puppy eyes." She growled -
Before she had a chance to answer the man after walking into the inn, Rina watched as the man pulled out the book once again. "Um," she began, but she was startled and interrupted when she heard a voice in her ear. She paused as she thought of a response. "Well," she mumbled, "you're both kind of odd." She froze after she had realized what she had said. "I-I didn't mean it to be mean! It's just that... Um... I'm sorry!"
In an attempt to end her panic and sound a bit less awkward, she called, well more like quietly-called out to the man who was currently searching the inn. "I-I can help you, sir." As she turned to walk towards the front desk, she noticed Dr. Skoova's expression. "W-what's wrong?"
---
Elise chuckled to herself. These girls probably didn't realize it, but they were pretty amusing to watch. "Alright then, please follow me, your guide, Elise Noon!"
She turned and began to walk in the direction of the shooting range, completely forgetting about the food she was supposed to pick up. -
Bump.)
-
thank you.)
firhawk stopped his searching once the girl told him she could help him out. "thank you." but when he turned back to where the girl was walking, he too caught Dr.skoovas gaze. "whats the problem?" he asked, now tense and on guard. i dont sense the presence of anyone that poses a threat nearby... whats with his odd expression?
---
skoova looked over to rina, concern now in his eyes. "Rina, you'r father is extremely ill. the scent of death is lingering right around the corner. let me see him. where is he?" skoova began walking towards the scent, quickly looking back. "hurry now, the scent is getting stronger by the second." -
Marielle squealed with joy and skipped after Elise, she half jumped on her and wrapped her arm around the girl. "I'm Marie Lexing." Said overflowing with excitement, "The stiff over there is Lilli Carter. I haven't been to a range in forever and the one in my town suuuuucks." Marielle said throughing her head back quickly. "I don't even think I've had time to do stuff like this since I've started working."
---
Lillian let out a deep sigh and slowly followed after them. "Marie don't get too excited, and you have enough spare time to go to a shooting range so don't even try that." Lilli said with slight annoyance, "Hey, Marie do we really have enough time to go to a shooting range for hours? My parents might notice." She paused before adding, "And we're having dinner before we go back." Lilli stated complaining slightly. -
(I didn't realize you posted, sorry!)
Elise grinned. "Nice to meet you both." The name "Carter" sounded oddly familiar, but she didn't want to pry. "The inn that we passed back there has a really good dinner menu. But there is also another restaurant a bit farther down the street that's really good."
As they were walking, Elise realized suddenly that she had forgotten about her own dinner shopping. Oh well, there was a bit of food leftover from yesterday's dinner that he could eat.

Rina had a horrible sinking feeling after Dr. Skoova spoke. Her vision blurred a bit as his statement sunk in. She was frozen there, eyes wide, and breathing large breaths. Her father... was dying? He couldn't... but she trusted Dr. Skoova, and his judgement. Even so, Rina was trembling a bit now. She knew that the faster she answered him, the faster this situation would be over, but Rina didn't want to accept it. Taking another breath, Rina answered, voice trembling. "Mother and I moved him to the clinic in this city, because you weren't around at the time, and he developed another bad cold. So at the moment he's at that clinic. It's about ten minutes from here by foot." -
aw damn it, the post didn't go through.)
firhawk looked up and took a deep breath with his nose, but his face only looked confused as a result. "i smell nothing. are you sure her father is dying?" he asked, unsure if this lizard-man knew what he was doing.
skoova's eyes slightly widened. "he's that far away? it's a miracle that i was able to sense him then. but if the scent is that strong..." skoova cut himself off and rushed out of the inn, following the scent of death through the town in order to find the clinic. -
"First of all, miss Elise you should come shoot with me aaand come for dinner with us." Marielle stated with excitement and pride. "And of course we have enough time for this its not like anyone ever noticed before, I'm the only one allowed in your room and all you do is mope around in there anyways.~" Marielle sang the last part like it wasn't embarrassing.
--
Lilli felt her face heat up, "M-M-M-Marie! Don't say stuff like that its embarrassing." She groaned the last part, she sighed and looked around at everything. She looked back at the in to she a lizard guy rushing out of the inn she tilted her head, it looked weird but she wondered if it was normal or at least with the pirates around. Her and Marielle had been to two towns the one that normally went to and now this one close to port. It seemed like a fun town Lilli smiled to herself slightly this made her want to leave her stupid estate for good even more then she did before. -
Bump...)
-
Elise chuckled yet again at the girls' conversation. "I would participate in the shooting contest, but pirates are in town today. They tend to come for the contests because with all of the hopeless gambling addicts, including the pirates themselves, they manage to get quite a bit of money out of it. I wouldn't last very long." She realized that she made the contest seem hopeless. "Oh, but if you want to enter, I'm sure you'll do well. And as for dinner... maybe."
--
Carina was snapped back to reality when Dr. Skoova ran out of the inn. She stood there, frozen once again. She glanced back towards the front desk, and the other man. She would have to. She turned to the other man. She tried to put on a nice face as she practiced, but there was obviously fear behind it. "I-I'm sorry, b-but I have to a-attend to other things. I-I'll help you in a moment." With that, Rina ran out of the inn in a panic. She would have to meet Dr. Skoova at the clinic, because she couldn't see him. -
firhawk nodded in understandment. he then walked outside and glanced over his ship for a second, quickly looking back at it afterwards only to see some men taking things off it. "hey!" he dashed off to them and grabbed his spears from his waist, raising them up as if he was abot to throw them.
---
Dr.skoova stopped for a second, needing to catch his breath. he stood there, panting and trying to grasp air as soon as possible. "man... i should... have been a little... more... athletic... when i was... young..." reaching inside his bag, he pulled out a potion labeled as "energy drink" and chugged it down. "ah... much... *burp* better..." after putting the bottle bag, he resumes his run to the girls father. -
"Aww come on it be fun, pirates would be in all the time though right. I mean this is a port side town so you'd be used to it by now wouldn't you?" Marie sang it but not as much as normal, "Are their really that many? But dinner would be fun and Lillis paying anyways!" Marie turned around and looked at some of the people they did kind of look like pirates but shrugged it off its not like they'd openly attack three girls in the middle of the street for no reason... Right?
--
"Don't force her if she doesn't want to besides pirates are..." Lilli forgot what she was going to say so she just continued on,"But it be amusing wouldn't it, we could get some money from it to couldn't we? Not many people would bet on two girls... Just saying." Lilli looked around again and sped up to be closer to the girls, she rolled her eyes at the pirates they may sail the seas but their nothing more than drunken idiots. -
A few minutes later, Rina had arrived at the clinic. She didn't see Dr. Skoova yet, so she stood outside with her back pressed to the wall. She didn't want to enter the building yet. She was scared. Scared of what would meet her when she walked inside.
Her father was in a stable condition last she'd checked. What had happened?
--
Elise shrugged. "I'm not a great long distance shooter." She noticed the two girls glancing around a bit. "Don't worry too much. The pirates don't attack civilians very often. If they do it's usually because of personal grudges. Though, we do see quite a few pirate on pirate fights." She grinned. "It's fun watching them sometimes."
She then responded to Lilli. "Depending on how good your shooting skills are, you could quite possibly get a large sum of money."
