When Landon heard his name called, he stood, rolling up the sleeves of his white button down to his elbows carelessly. He strode over to the bathroom, humming as he walked. "What do you-" He was cut off when he saw the scene in the bathroom. Landon had to lean against the wall for support. This was almost the exact same scene he saw when he had found his mother. Landon took a shaky breath, closing his eyes.
-
Ann mentally applauded the girl and kissed her forehead one last time. She stood up and cleaned off her fingers in the sink. She smiled at Katryna one last time and left, as she went, mumbling "How's that for your 'Lily'?" Addressing both Landon and her mental image of Charles.
-
Landon was a shaking mess. He ran up the steps and pounded on the cellar door, calling his father's name desperately. Soon enough, his father opened the cellar door. "What is it, Lance?" The old nickname sent Landon into tears. "Just like mom..Lily..just like mom..!" He was sobbing by now. Charles placed a hand on Landon's back, pulling him into the actual house. "Go upstairs. Now." Landon left, going upstairs, and Charles walked down into the cellar.
-
Ann had immediately retreated to her room, where she was having her own private funeral for Katryna. She mumbled a eulogy to herself as she made a rough sketch of the girl's face onto notebook paper.
-
Landon barley made it up the carpeted stairs, he was shaking so bad. He went into the guest bedroom, a small room with a queen sized bed and white walls. Photos of his family before his mother died were placed around the room neatly. A picture of Landon and his parents from middle school. A picture of his mother by herself. Landon let out a shaky breath, curling up under the covers of the bed.
Charles made his way down the steps quickly. He was about to go into the bedroom when he saw the mess in the bathroom. Charles narrowed his eyes, a low growl like sound coming from his throat. He opened the door to the bedroom, moving towards Ann. "You knew about this, Rose? And you didn't stop it?" -
Ann closed her eyes and quit singing her little memorial song, knowing what might be coming. "No. I would have liked to join her... She made the right decision." She sighed a little and thought about what Katryna had left behind, then nodded. "Even if she's in hell, she's better off." She winced at the punishment she knew would come.
-
Charles grabbed Ann's arm tightly, glaring down at her. "What is your problem? I provide you with food and shelter, I give you love that you would never get in the real world. And this is how you girls treat me? You dirty whores!" He back slapped her hard, growling.
-
Ann cried out when he slapped her, but figured it was too late to back down now. She turned her head to glare up at her abuser. "You lock me in the basement, set ridiculous rules, strip me of my identity, and rape me so hard that I can't walk." She scowled. "I'd gladly do without yor 'love'."
-
"And I can do without your smart mouth, little girl." He grabbed a fist full of her hair, throwing Ann down to the ground. "You do not disrespect me, Rose." He then left the room, leaving the door to the bedroom wide open. He went up the cellar steps and locked the door behind him.
-
Ann gasped and succeeded in not screaming upon her landing as pain shot through her back. She stayed there on the floor and cried. She cried for Katryna, Katryna's family, her own mom, and finally for herself.
-
Charles climbed upstairs and peeked into the guest bedroom, where Landon was sleeping quietly, chest rising and falling with each breath. Charles smiled. It reminded him of how things were before, when he and his wife Daisy had led the perfect life with Landon. That's all he wanted back. The perfect life. He shut the door to the guest bedroom quietly, then went downstairs to find his car keys.
-
Ann thought about stuff while laying there. Why couldn't she die? Yeah, she'd already been hurt, but why not prevent it from happening again? She nodded slowly. "Yeah..."
-
Charles got into his van and drove into town, searching for someone else that could give Ann company. Someone that would keep her from doing the same thing that Lily did. He listened to music as he drove. He finally came up on a group of boys, all wearing black hoodies and tight white jeans that sagged even though they fit snuggly. Charles rolled down his window. The boys were all nudging each other, daring someone to get into the van. One boy stepped past them, and got into the passenger seat with a grin. He shut the door and leaned back in the seat. Charles rolled his eyes and turned around, driving back towards his home.
Matthew felt like a pure badass. No one else had volunteered to get into the guy's white van, but guess who did? Himself. Matthew grinned and clicked his tounge, not bothering to ask the dude driving where they were going. It really didn't matter to him, as long as it was an adventure and made him seem badass.

Ann sat up a little and brushed her hair from her face. There was no hanging rope, so that was out of the question. Lily had already taken bleeding to death. Pills, she knew, were slow and extremely painful. There was no good poison to kill herself with. She sighed and flopped forward onto the floor.
-
Charles made it to his home in the middle of no where in no time, he was driving so fast. He didn't bother to get the handcuffs from the back this time. Charles got out of the car and starting walking towards the front door, Matthew already following him. Matthew had his black hoodie pulled over his head and his white skinny jeans sagging down, leaving his gray boxers to show. Charles didn't question it as he let the boy inside and led him down to the cellar.
