Charles stared with big eyes at the light, waiting to see if it would turn off. He crossed his arms over his chest, trying to stay warm despite the freezing cold sweater he was wearing. The light stopped for a second, so he said, quickly, "R-red not good--" he tried to inform Tae, and then the light came back on and a thick mist of water spritzed in his face. He yelped, covering his face, which only made him get sprayed again.
Jeremy saw a fire escape down one side of the building, and starting pulling Raymond forward. "There?" -
-
Tae watched the light as it turned off, came back on, and sprayed Charles twice. Tae frowned, wondering what his punishment would be if be talked. He didn't really mind water. "P-Punishment f-for T-Tae?" He asked, greatly confused.
Raymond nodded and followed Jeremy, staring at the fire escape. It wasn't up pretty high, and that made him uneasy about the fire escape. -
Charles heard the spray go off again, but it didn't hit him. His hands, which were wet now, went down. The thing had apparently sprayed Tae, but Charles felt it was a little unfair that only he got a suitable punishment. He frowned, crossing his arms again.
Jeremy snuck his way to the side of the building, and when they reached the metal stairs, he held onto Raymond's hand tighter as he began to lead up. -
Tae laughed softly, wondering how idiotic these scientists could be. T-Tae hadn't had anything to drink or eat that morning, so the water actually felt nice to him. "M-More?" Tae asked, smirking to himself. "S-Stupid s-sscientist.."
Raymond followed Jeremy up the metal stairs, constantly having to remain himself that look downwards at the ground below them would only make the harsh climb even worse. He chewed on the inside of his mouth to distract himself. -
Charles heard a hiss and a pop from the thing, and then water just started flowling out of the nozzle; the scuentist had apparently heard Tae's sassy comment. It wasn't a lot, but it was pooling rather quickly on the shallow cage floor-touching Charles' feet. "S-s-sto-" he shut his mouth, trying to scoot away from the water.
Jeremy led Raymond all the way until they reached a door, which he slowly opened- to a long, empty white hallway. -
Tae gasped as the water began to flow out of the nozzle. He glanced over at Charles, who was trying to scoot away from the water. Even though Tae knew Charles was probably more scared of him than the water, Tae leaned over a picked Charles up, setting him in his lap away from the water. "T-Tae w-won't h-h-hurt C-Charles..."
Raymond walked inside, looking down the hallway. He sniffed the air and nodded towards the right, where he could smell cat, dog, and vanilla. -
Charles was shaking, frozen in fear and indecision. He was terribly afraid of the new dog hyrbid Tae, but he hated the water, too. So he just sat in Tae's lap, shivering. He didn't even look up when the door opened and he heard a whisper of, "Ray, they're in here..."
-
Raymond stuck his head into the room, then walked in. He gasped when he saw the scene layed out before him. Tae had a tail and ears. He was a dog hyrbid. He looked at Jeremy then back at Charles and Tae. "T-T-Tae?"
Tae looked up and saw two figures standing there. They looked like Raymond and Jeremy, but he wasn't certain until he heard Raymond say his name. Careful to keep Charles in his lap, he leaned foward towards them. He tried to say something, but it just came out as a whimper, like a dog. -
Charles' head shot up when he realized it was Jeremy and Raymond who had come in. The cage was only unlockable from the outside, and so Charles was pretty sure they could open it. "L-l-let me o-out!"
Jeremy stared at his friend for a minute, shocked to see the new features. -
Tae stared back at Jeremy with a blank expression. He watched as Raymond leaped foward and tore the lock off the cage with his teeth, throwing it aside and opening the cage. Tae's eyes fell to the floor, his ears flat, tail still.
-
Charles rushed out, pushing the cage door out of the way and leaping at Jeremy. The man was paying more attention to Tae, but wrapped his arms around Charles when the cat boy leaped at him. "Alright," Jeremy hummed, "We have to get going, Tae."
-
Tae slowly got out of the cage and walked past all of them, heading towards the door. He didn't say a word to anyone as he walked down the white hallway and outside to the fire escape.
Raymond frowned and followed after Tae. "T-Tae is l-like R-Ray. I-Is T-Tae h-happy?" -
Jeremy had to hold Charles rather tightly to keep him from falling. The hybrid's legs were around his waist, and he was soaking the entire front of Jeremy's clothing. He followed after Raymond and Tae, out to the fire escape.
-
Tae was about to go down the fire escape when he saw how far up they were. His fear of heights came back, and his chewed on his bottom lip as he looked down. Raymond walked in front of Tae and knelt down. "P-Piggy B-Back?" Ignoring Ray's question, he crawled onto the dog hyrbid's back and layed his head on his back. Raymond began walking down the metal stairs.
