It was a few minutes later when Jeremy finally got off the phone. "There'll be one here in a few minutes," he sighed, patting Charles' back. The cat whimpered, not liking the idea of waiting any longer.
-
Raymond leaned down and whispered in Tae's ear quietly so the other two wouldn't hear him. "I-Is T-Tae o-o-okay?" The new dog hyrbid shook his head and buried his head in Raymond's chest, sobbing quietly. Raymond rubbed the smaller hyrbid's back, attempting to calm him.
-
Jeremy wasn't so patient, bouncing back and forth on his heels. He was just starting to worry that Charles may have hypothermia when a yellow cab pulled up. He opened up the back door, sliding the cat hybrid into the warm cabin first and then moving out of the way so that Tae could go in next.
-
Raymond pushed Tae gently into the cab, then got in himself. Tae clung to Raymond as soon as he sat down, which confused Raymond. He thought that Tae could be clinging to Charles, not him.
-
Charles had a hood over his head, and by the he'd figured out that if he pulled the strings tight it would make a pocket of warm over his face. The downside was that he couldn't see or smell anything. He reached to the side, expecting Jeremy to be there, and when his hand found someone he moved to the side and leaned against them. Jeremy got into the very end, having to squeeze in a bit. The cabbie started driving after Jeremy gave him the address.
-
When Charles leaned against Tae, he was surprised, but leaned away from Raymond and wrapped his arms around the cat hyrbid. He noticed that the cat had his face covered, and his most likely couldn't see anything, but Tae wasn't going to miss a chance at holding Charles.
-
Charles, externally, felt slightly warmer, but his chills still made him shiver. Whoever was holding him made him feel at least a little better, so for the few minute ride home, he fell asleep in the person's arms.
When they arrived back at the apartments, Jeremy payed the cabbie, and opened up the door to let everyone out. -
Raymond slid out of the cab first, and waited outside of the cab for the two hyrbid's to get out. Tae, seeing that Charles was asleep, held Charles in his arms and slid out of the cab holding Charles. Tae felt uncomfortable in his new hyrbid form, and shifted uncomfortably on his feet.
-
Jeremy figured he'd need to get Charles and Tae at least settled back into their apartment, and maybe convince Charles to have a hot bath, so after the cab drove off, he started leading the way back to Tae's apartment.
-
Raymond followed Jeremy to Tae's apartment, the wind picking up some on the way there. Raymond glanced over at Tae, who was shivering, and Raymond ddidn't think it was because of the wind. Raymond walked up to the apartment.
-
Jeremy unlocked the door to let everyone inside, walking in first and holding the door open against the wind. At that time, Charles finally took note of the movement, and started to stir awake.
-
Raymond walked inside and went straight to the kitchen, starving. "R-Ray w-wants l-l-lunch.." He muttered and searched the cabinets for some sort of meat for him to eat. He found a can of pork and opened it with his teeth, pouring the meat into a bowl.
Tae walked inside and felt Charles move, so he sat the cat hyrbid down of the couch. Tae hated having his ears down and tail in his pants, so he pulled his fluffy tail out and perked his ears up. He quickly went to his room and put on a dark blue and black sweater, then returning to the living room. -
Jeremy shut the door behind everyone, locking it as well. Following Raymond, he sat on the counter in the kitchen, beckoning the hybrid towards him.
Charles had woken up by then, groggy and still shivering. He tugged the hood in front of his face open, blinking up at Tae. "T-Tae..." He whined, automatically reaching out his arms to gravitate towards him. He still smelled like dog, but then again, so did Raymond. -
Raymond picked up the bowl and walked over to where Jeremy was. Raymond sat the bowl on the counter and dug in, starving.
Tae sat down on the couch beside Charles and pulled Charles onto his lap, wrapping his arms around the cat hyrbid gently. "H-Hi.." -
Jeremy laughed softly, smiling fondly. "We'll get Tae and Charles all settled in, then we'll go back home. Okay?"
Charles laid his head back down against him, instantly sleepy once more. "Ch-Charles is c-cold."
