Tae was too tired to fight back as he was pulled out of the room Charles was in. Right now, all Tae wanted was to get away from this place. He thought of ways to escape, but all of them seemed stupid and hopeless.
Raymond threw the hoodie and sweat pants on quickly. Raymond could usually smell Tae's scent of vanilla since their apartments were right beside each other. Shaking his head, Raymond pressed his nose to the wall closest to the apartment next to Tae's. "N-No he's n-not." -
Charles was pulled out of the cage, to his feet. "Alright, bad kitty. What will your punishment be?" He pushed Charles onto a chair, went to a drawer, and came back with a leash and collar. "How would the kitty like a bath?"
The men took Tae to another room, lit the same way, setting him on a table. There were restraints on the table, but they didn't tie him down, only left the door and locked the door.
Jeremy hummed, "You sure..?" He pulled on underwear and pants, quickly, along with a shirt. "Want to go check?" -
Tae sat criss cross on the table, oddly very calm in the situation that Charles and him were in. Tae looked around the room, curious as to what they would do to hurt or kill him. Tae hummed and sat still.
Raymond nodded slowly and went back to where he was standing before, waiting for Jeremy. -
The scientist put the collar and leash on Charles, and led him out of the room. He took him outside, around the back of the building, to the swimming pool. Charles knew how this went, and it was hardly surprising to him when the scientist got out a cinderblock and tied the leash up to it. As he slid the block into the pool, Charles was pulled along with it, and he ended up in the water. The leash was just long enough for him to keep his head above the water if he stood on his toes, but the water was freezing cold and he absolutely hated it. The scientist smiled, sitting on a lawn chair next to the pool. "Ten minutes," he stated.
The air vent in Tae's room started seeping a white gas, which hung like fog and began to fill the entire space. There were two men standing outside, waiting for the gas to vent and the man inside to fall asleep, which would be in a few minutes.
Jeremy took Raymond's hand, leading him to the door and handing him his shoes. "Here we are. You'll see, they're fine." -
It took Tae a few moments to notice the white gas that came through the air vent. Tae watched as it filled the room and began to feel dizzy. He tried to fight it off, but as the minutes ticked by, it began to get worse. Tae got up from the bed and ran to the door, trying to open it. It was locked, and there was nothing he could do. A minute later, Tae's fluttered shut and his body went limp, collapsing to the floor.
Raymond quickly slipped is shoes on, still shaking his head. "S-Something wrong." -
(
what if tae becomes a dog hybrid bc then charles will be scared of him)
The men got out their walkie talkies as soon as the struggling inside had gone quiet, talking into them to inform the scientist that the captured man was blacked out.
By the time the scientist's walkie talkie went off, Charles was so cold that he was struggling to stay standing under the water. The man stood from the lawn chair, and waved good bye to Charles, leaving him in the water. The scientist walked to the room where Tae was being kept, opening the door. "Go get the cat. He's in the pool. Bring him here," he said to the guards.
Jeremy opened the door, letting Raymond go out first. "Maybe they've just gone shopping, or on a walk." -
(
do it)
Raymond walked outside, pulling his hood up. He continued shaking his head as he walked towards Tae's apartment quickly. He knew, deep down, something wasn't right, he just didn't know what. Raymond stopped when he saw the door to Tae's apartment was wide open. -
Charles had never been so happy to see one of the burly guards walking his way. He'd already accidentally dunked his face under the water three times. The guard reached out, pulling the leash to get the cinderblock up, untied it, then tugged the leash so that Charles would come up on his own. When they'd made their way back to the room, Tae was on the metal table on his back, his hands and feet restrained. Charles' entire body was shaking and pale with the cold water, but he still managed to give off soft murmurs while he was pushed towards the table.
Jeremy stared at the open door, looking around with worry. "... You go ahead, take a look around inside, I'm right next to you," he said, hooking his arm to Ray's. -
Raymond walked inside, and looked around. There was a small card on the ground. Raymond picked it up and tried to read it. "H-Hyrbid L-Lab..?"
-
The leash was tied to one leg of the table, closely, so that Charles couldn't move more than a few inches away after he was made to kneel down. "Alright, I know what you hate, Charles," the scientist grinned. "Would you like your friend to be one?" The scientist left the room, but a man brought in another creature on a leash- a german shepard, that was growling and barking, lunging at Charles and only held back by the leash. Charles screamed, loudly, pulling against his restraints. "Tae! Tae must w-wake up! Tae must h-h-help!"
Jeremy read the card, letting Raymond say it out loud. "Yes, that's right," he said. "But what's that mean? Do you think that's where they've gone?" -
Raymond gave a small shrug, sniffing the air. "F-Follow scent?" He looked up at Jeremy, asking for permission to the faint scent of vanilla he smelt outside.
-
The scientist grinned, as the man kept the dog barely inches away from Charls. The cat hybrid was hyperventilating, eye-to-eye with the dog. Finally, the confrontation was ended when another man came around to take the collar off of Charles' neck. "Go to your cage," the scientist instructed, and as Charles hurried back to the room where his cage was, he heard the door to Tae's room slam shut.
Jeremy nodded, leading Raymond back outside. He shut the front door to the apartment, taking the hybrid's hand in his own. "Alright." -
Raymond walked down the sidewalk away from the apartments, sniffing and following the scent that was barley there.
-
Charles crawled into his cage, cowering in the back of it. Even though the sweater he was wearing was soaking wet and only made him shiver more, he had no desire to take it off-it was Tae's, after all, and he may not always have it.
(Time skip here?)
Jeremy stayed by Raymond's side, but he grew worried as they neared the busier street. "Wait, can we stay on the sidewalk, please?" -
(Yes .3.)
Raymond nodded and continued walking eastward. He wouldn't give up, the smell was getting much stronger. The cars scared Raymond, but he ignored them.
