^3^ choo choo
A small smile crossed his face when he saw him calm down. He dropped his hands to his sides, grabbing tightly onto the grocery bags he had nearly forgotten about. "It's alright," he said simply before taking off down a hall. "Do you know what a dog is, by any chance?" -
choo~
Charlie went off after him, hurrying to catch up and walk at his side. At the mention of a dog, his arms crossed over his stomach and he nodded. Dogs were things he definitely did not at all like, and he hoped that Archie wasn't meaning to say that he had any. -
meowwww
"Alright, good. Milo has a dog, a dog like you.. But he doesn't bite. Just yaps a lot." By yapping, he was referring to both the talking and barking that came out of Ricky's mouth. He didn't like all of the noise he made, but at least Milo knew how to calm him down. "If you'd like, you can wait outside while I talk to Milo, alright?" -
hissss
Charlie was a little curious about what he meant by 'a dog like him', since Charlie was a cat and he did not think he was at all like a dog. Archie suggested that he stay outside while he talked to Milo, but he shook his head, not wanting to part ways from the only nice person he'd been able to find. -

mowwwwwwwwwwwww
no Charlie you've been lied to you're a dog :)
"Alright, but be warned.. Dog. I dunno if you'll like him or not. I don't, not too much. You seem to be way more.. Quiet. I like quiet things." Archie sighed, looking at all of the numbers on the plates beside the door. 435.. 4.. 3.. 5. Nope, that's 430. Uuuugh. By the time they got to the right door, he was exhausted. Knocking, Archie yelled, "Milo!"
From inside of the apartment, Riley was curled up on the floor, chewing on his own tail out of boredom. As soon as he heard Archie's voice, however, he bounced up and let his tail fall between his legs. It started wagging, and a happy bark escaped his mouth. "Milo, Milo, did you hear that? Archie's heeeeeeeeere!" -
woooooooooooooooooooooooooof
All along he should have known
Charlie was a little deterred by Archie's telling him of it being an energetic dog, but it would be worse off for him to wait outside by himself. He heard shouting on the other side of the door, and thought at first it must be Milo because Archie hadn't mentioned anyone else living with him besides the dog. But the shouting had started with a bark, and then, in the same volume, someone shouting for the man named Milo.
Said man came out from his room, holding the magazine he'd been reading. He smiled at Riley, and on his way to open the door, patted the dog on the head. "Thanks, pup," he said, striding to the door. He opened it wide, smiling at the two people who stood there. One was of course Archie, but the other one was unfamiliar and stood with his hands covering the top of his head. "Hi, Archie, who's your... Friend?" -
meeeeeeeeeeeeeow!!
he doesn't understand animals very well pfft Riley's the cat
Archie tapped his foot impatiently, waiting for Milo to get to the door. He could hear the mutt's yapping through the door, and it bothered him greatly. Noisy dog, he thought to himself. So.. Flipping.. Loud. A little grin came onto his face when Milo came into view. "It's a cat. He's a cat. Like your mutt in there." He gestured to the dog as Riley came up and attached himself to Milo. "He's just smart enough to cover his ears. Came to ask you if you wanted him. Dunno his name or anything like that, though."
Riley was curious as to whom was with Archie. He could see two shapes in the door, not one. He ran over, clinging to Milo's arm and getting on his tippy toes to get a better view. He could quite clearly see another person next to him, and as Archie said the word cat, he noticed the familiar cat-like smell. The dog noticed that the other person was covering something on his head. His tail started to wag when Archie gestured to him. He liked being a part of all conversations. -
Charlie jumped back a tad when a fourth person came up, and clung to Archie. Upon further inspection, he could recognize the person as another hybrid, as- oh. Oh, oh, no. It was the same one that had run away from the laboratory months ago, the one who had been so painfully friendly towards Charlie whenever they had free time. He hissed quietly, his arms going across his chest to cross there. He knew that Riley seemed to be a big fan of his the last time they'd spoken, but Charlie did not return the feelings.
Milo was surprised to hear there was another hybrid, a little pleased, not so happy that Archie seemed to think he would take it in. "I'd love to, but I really can't. It's a lot of money to feed two of them, and I can't imagine having two of them running about all day. His name's on the tag of his shirt, probably, like Riley's was. But you have to keep him, Archie." -
Archie allowed himself to be clung to, though the motion surprised him a bit. He hadn't thought that Charlie would be so eager to touch him. Though, he thought it was just because of the new faces, and he shrugged it off. "Nnn.. Milooooo. I dunno how to take care of a cat. I don't even know how to take care of myself. I got the poor thing sick because he ate a huge bag of chips I just bought. Are cats even allowed to have chips--" Archie was cut off by an obnoxious bark and a jumble of words coming out of Riley's mouth. Confused, he fell silent, staring at the dog hybrid. Upon hearing the name 'Charlie', the raven haired boy moved to Charlie's shirt to check the tag. Just in case the dog was dead wrong.
Riley stared contently at the cat hybrid, his tail wagging not stopping. He didn't even stop to think about the hiss. It wasn't until the dog stopped and stared extremely hard at the cat to notice that it was a very familiar hybrid. The tail wagging increased, and with a happy bark, Riley exclaimed, "That's the cat the meanie face used to call Charlie! Charliiiiie! You got out!" -
Charlie's ears went flat against his head, glaring at the dog hybrid. He'd learned how to talk, apparently, which hadn't helped at all with his noise problem. He was so focused on the other hybrid that he freely allowed Archie to inspect the tag on his shirt, despite the fact that it involved touching him without his permission.
Milo was equally silenced by the exclamations of his dog hybrid, who apparently knew Charlie previously. "Is your name Charlie?" He asked the cat hybrid, but got no reply, only watched as the creature wrapped its arms around Archie's torso and hid his face into the man's shirt. -
needy choo choo
-
Archie released the tag as he looked to Milo and shrugged. The tag did have a name, but it wasn't Charlie, it was Charles. Charlie was much better, though, in his opinion. "It's Charles. Charlie must have been a pet name or something." The human showed no sign of surprise as the hybrid hid itself in his shirt. "Hey, Milo, I don't think that the cat likes your mutt.."
Rickey's tail wagging decreased as he realized the not-so-friendly attention he was getting from the cat hybrid. His ears flattened as well, and in defense, he growled lowly before clinging even tighter to Milo. He felt like he had to prove who was the best owner out of Archie and Milo, and he was positive it was Milo. -
(lol we are screwing up our names so bad i'm doing charlie and ricky was riley for a while there)
Milo gazed at the cat hybrid, whilst wondering why Ricky was suddenly holding tighter to him. "Well," the man hummed, looked at Archie, "if he doesn't like Ricky than he definitely can't stay here. Because Ricky's not going anywhere." With his free hand, he reached across himself to give the dog hybrid's head a fond petting.
Charlie hadn't liked the suggestion of staying with Milo in the first place, and by then he was even further deterred by Ricky's prescence. And the dog hybrid was starting to show the same signs of discontent towards him. Hissing, Charlie moved himself, glaring daggers at Ricky and clutching Archie like a life raft. -
(Charlie is cool tho
HOLY CRAP I'M HIGH
ricky
rickyyyyyyyyy)
Ricky puffed out his chest as the cat hissed at him again. A louder, more dominant growl escaped his throat. He had always been nice to that dumb cat. He didn't even like cats. He liked Milo only. As he was patted, a sort of happy noise escaped his throat, and his tail started wagging again. He licked Milo's cheek, shooting a stare at the other hybrid as a dare for him to do better.
Archie whined at his friend as he felt a much tighter squeeze come from the cat hybrid. "But Milo," he protested, "I don't know how to take care of an animal. What do I do? Can he even eat human food? Can I give him human meds?"
