Milo laughed, softly, deciding upon wrapping both of his arms around his dog hybrid. The man had had many failed relationships in the past, and he remembered that the day he found Ricky was just days after his last breakup. It took him a while, but eventually, he'd known that his true soul mate was in this boy who'd shown up looking for help. "It is, isn't it? Plus, I have someone to talk to, now."
Charlie was waiting patiently while Archie walked over, and eventually unlocked the door for him. From there, the cat knew how to open it. His hand went around the knob- actually, both, and he quite forcefully tried to twist it. To the wrong side. He made a noise of frustration when the knob wouldn't budge, and started jiggling it, until he found that it would indeed work it he twisted it the other way. Finally, he got it open, and with a satisfied chuff, looked into the apartment. -
The nearly silver-haired dog hybrid leaned into Milo's chest, smiling up at his owner. Milo meant the world to him, and though Ricky didn't know how to say that in a non-confusing way, he knew that the other male would understand through the dog's actions. Ricky was literate, but he was careful with his meaningful words. He was quite sure he had only said serious things to Milo before. "Mhm. You have me, and if I'm sleeping, you can talk to the box with moving pictures you call a television!" Unfortunately for him, he hadn't become fully associated with electronic appliances and thought most of them housed 'little people' in them.
Archie's apartment wasn't anything too fancy. All of his walls were painted a light blue or white. To the left side was a small kitchen and dining table. Straight ahead was a hall with doors that lead to the two bedrooms, the first bathroom, and the small living room. To the right was the second bathroom and a room where he had all of his books, study supplies, and other small fun activities stored. He huffed a bit, gesturing in. "Go ahead, Charlie. Welcome to my home. It's now yours, too." -

Woof woof
After having to blink for a moment at his words, Milo understood what the dog meant. And he didn't see the point in telling him he was wrong, so he simply nodded, and with a laugh, gave him a proper kiss. "Yes, I can always talk to them, too. But you tend to reply better."
Charlie was hardly relunctant to go in at that point. He'd lost just a bit of his naturally nervous edge, and was actually a little eager to find somewhere cozy that he could take a nap in Archie's home. Which was of course priority- he was rather exhausted. Opening up the door a little more, he slipped in, going first down the hallway that was straight ahead, towards one of the doors. Upon opening it, he found... A big square... Thing. With pillows and blankets on top. He tilted his head, and stepped forward, leaning down to inspect the sturdiness of it with a press of his hand. Upon deciding it was safe, he climbed on, and promptly collapsed on top of the blankets, purring. -
caw caw
omg Charlie's such an innocent qt "big square thing"
can't imagine what he'll think of Archie's dick--/shot and killed
Ricky accepted the kiss happily, kissing him back in return. These moments, too, were precious. The hybrid liked kisses, and he was sure that they were special. Milo treated them like they were, anyway. He liked important things. "I do? But the box seems to know so much.. It can tell you what the weather is like, even! I can't.." All of the sudden, Ricky's tail stopped wagging, and the dog looked ashamed. He didn't like it when he couldn't do something for Milo.
Without questioning Charlie's sudden eagerness to step into a strange, new place, Archie followed the cat into his apartment. He needed to get his groceries put away before he did anything else. As he jiggled the keys out of the door, he eyed Charlie, who was nearly diving right for the first hall. He sighed, closing the door and setting the bags down on the table. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he knew he'd have to watch the hybrid. The cat would pretty much become his main priority. And Archie wasn't sure he'd be able to take care of another being, much less himself. He decided to follow the hybrid and found himself in his own room. Charlie was sprawled out on his bed, purring. The man sighed, laughing a bit. "Oh, you little.. Claiming my bed, are you?" -
chuff chuff
"immense pee pee thing"
Milo gave the hybrid all of his attention, quirking an eyebrow at the other's interpretation of the television apparently knowing things. But, he read when the boy's attitude changed, and he grew more serious. "Oh, baby. Don't worry. I don't need you to tell me the weather, that's really hard. Even I can't predict the weather. Only big balloons up in the sky can." He hugged Ricky a little tighter, offering him a smile. "You don't have to be like a big balloon up in the sky to make me happy."
Charlie looked up when he heard Archie speaking, and promptly stopped purring. He heard the word bed, and decided that the big square was that. A bed. A bed a bed a bed, he'd heard of that. The mean scientist had, on various occasions, told him he'd never have one because he was just a lab rat. But now he had one, at least, he had Archie's. So he nodded, and went back down, curling into a ball. It was just as pleasant as he would have hoped the ever illusive bed would be, considering he'd waited so long for one. "Eeeh-d!" -
Ricky could feel himself nearing a bad state, one that he had known was called sadness. He gazed at Milo, scared that he'd get mad that the hybrid couldn't tell what the weather would be. However, he said the exact opposite. His tail started up again, and a little smile popped up on his right after his owner smiled. "Do you really think that? Oh, Milo! I'm sorry I ever doubted you!" The dog buried his face in Milo's chest, the tears welling up at his eyes. He clung to the taller male, starting to sob. "I'm soooooorry."
Archie walked over to the side of the bed, staring down at Charlie. He was an odd fur ball, he had to admit. He sat at the edge, yawning and listening to his weird noises. "Meeeeh.. I really need to teach you the English language.. Oh! I forgot, we rushed here for a reason." The human stood, then paused to look down at the cat hybrid yet again. "Does your stomach still hurt? If it does, that's a yes. Y-e-s. If it doesn't, that's a no. N-o. So yes, or no?" -
Milo was more than happy when the hybrid seemed to recognize that there was nothing wrong with not being able to predict the weather. "Of course I do, silly," he laughed, setting his hand on the back of Ricky's hand and running his fingers through his hair. "It's alright, it's nothing to be sorry over."
Charlie laid on his side, still curled up with his knees a few inches from his chest. The bed was comfy, and he loved it so much, and he was unsure if he'd be willing to share it with Archie. He made a whining sound when it was implied that he was supposed to speak, hiding his face against the bed. His stomach didn't hurt anymore, but he didn't know how to make the 'n' sound, so he went, "Oooh. Oh," only the last bit of the word. -

Ricky's tail started to wag once more as Milo ran his fingers through his hair. He nuzzled his owner's hand, relaxing as he spoke encouraging words. "If you think so, then, I won't be sorry for it. I'm glad you're happy with me. Really, though, I wish I could do something for you.. You've taught me how to speak, 'n how to eat, 'n how to like people. I owe you. I think that's the right word, right?"
Archie, at first, didn't understand what Charlie was trying to say, but he remembered that Charlie would be like a small human child and clearly only knew a few sounds. He relaxed, lying down on the part of the bed he was on. Truth was, the teenager was exhausted, and he wasn't sure he could take care of a hybrid that couldn't speak. He didn't know how Milo had done it. "Alright.. You can understand me, though, right?" He looked at Charlie with a questioning glance. -
(Hey wassup hello)
Milo kept rubbing with his fingers through the pup's hair, glad that the other was reassured about not knowing the weather. "That's the right word, but you don't owe me anything. Your company is good enough for me." He smiled at Ricky, pulling his head a little closer so he could kiss his nose.
Charlie, relieved that at least Archie had known what he'd meant to say, decided to maximize his comfort, and finally tugged his tail out of his pants. While he laid there on his stomach, he nodded. He knew everything Archie said, just not how to say it himself. -
