(I do like Charlie
Yes dark yes you are)
Milo hardly even had that much of a reaction to Ricky's licking, besides ruffling his hair and letting hand fall to his side to tuck in his pocket. "It's not really like taking care of a pet at all. It's like having a flat mate. A very cuddly, needy flat mate who you have to teach to talk. Ricky eats dinner just the same as me, and if he feels sick I've just been giving him Tums and asprin. You'll do just fine."
Charlie felt jealous that Ricky could get such attention from Milo, as Archie seemed to be entirely ignoring him. Finding this unfair, he shuffled to stand in front of the man, facing him, and stared purring, shutting his eyes, and rubbing his head needily against the chest of his shirt. He was craving the attention that Milo was giving Ricky, the pats on the head and fond little smiles that the cat hybrid had never had. -

Ricky let out a short yip, excited with all of the hair ruffling that Milo did. It wasn't much to another, but to him, any little touch counted. He was also pleased with himself that he was able to beat the cat in the attention- hogging game. If the cat was going to hate him, Riley thought he might as well give him a reason.
Archie wrinkled his noise in distaste, unhappy with what Milo was saying. "Uungh, Milo.." He barely had the will to take care of himself, and now he had a hybrid of his own on his hands. Though, luckily, the cat couldn't speak and cats weren't too loud. He'd definitely be able to deal with something like that-- Archie was startled out of his thoughts when he heard loud purrs and saw the cat rubbing against him. He stiffened, staring at the hybrid for a moment. What exactly was he doing? Then, he realized what was up- Charlie wanted attention. Slowly, Archie reached up, petting Charlie's hair and playing a bit with his ears. "Does Ricky do this too?" -
yes yes yes c:
Charlie was confused at the sensation at first. It was awkward, almost, to have a person touching him so gently, and in such a place. A few seconds of adjustment later, he'd settled into it, even starting to find what Ricky found so enjoyable about it. There was nothing he could compare it to, except maybe being allowed to sleep with a pillow- it felt rare, but good and comfortable. His head stayed against Archie's chest, while Milo continued to talk.
"Sorry," he sighed, "I would take him if I could. At least promise you won't let him out of your sight?" Milo, reaching up again, he curled his fingers deep into Ricky's hair and rubbed, slowly, deepyly. "Absolutely, he loves it." The man watched the way that Archie messed with Charlie's ears, the cat hybrid seeming not to mind as much as Ricky usually might. -

Ricky's tail wagged as fast as it possibly could as he leaned into Milo's touch. He loved it when Milo touched his hair and anywhere near his scalp. He didn't like it when his ears were touched, but anywhere else was okay, even his tail. He appreciated any touch from Milo, and occasionally Archie when he was feeling happy towards the man.
"That's something I can try to promise. So, yeah, I promise I won't let the little furball run away.." Archie trailed off as he continued to mess with the hybrid's ears. They were soft, and Charlie's purrs were amusing him. He wondered if this wouldn't be so bad after all. "Alright, then. Thank you, Milo. That's all I needed to hear. C'mon, Charlie. I can fix your stomach ache now." He slowly pulled his hands away from the hybrid's ears, stuffing them into his pockets. -
Milo thought it pretty amusing how excited Ricky always got over being pet. Unlike Charlie, who apparently purred like any other cat, Ricky expressed his pleasure with being pet by swinging around his projectile weapon known as a tail. Once Archie was saying his goodbyes, Milo had alrighty been hit in his leg by the tail at least ten times. Smiling to his friend, Milo nodded and said goodbye, starting to lead Ricky back into the apartment so that he could shut the door.
Charlie blinked when the petting suddenly stopped, looking up. He'd hardly been paying attention to anything else that Milo and Archie had been discussing, so he just cocked his head a little in question. Shrugging off his disorientation, he maneuvered around Archie to start investigating further down the hallway. There was a table against one of the walls between two doors, with a simple pot filled with red flowers. Having not had much experience with flowers, only seeing them outside his window, Charlie hurried over to them. He touched one, and thought it felt quite a lot like paper, and looked stiffer than the flowers that he saw outside of the window. -

Ricky almost bounced when the cat and Archie finally left his territory. The cat had been so mean to him, or at least, he thought that the cat had been mean to him. As soon as he moved out of the way long enough for the door to be closed, the dog hybrid was flinging himself onto Milo, nearly prancing on the poor man's toes. "Milo, Milo, that cat is mean! I'm really glad you didn't take him in. He would have broken things and taken you away from me.." Ricky licked his cheek, whining. "Why didn't you make them go away sooner?"
Archie watched as Charlie moved around him to start trudging ahead. At first, Archie had thought that the cat was going to be easy to work with, but it seemed like he was going to be a bit of a stubborn cat. "That's okay," he muttered to himself. "I'll survive." The raven haired boy followed the hybrid, watching him with hawk-like eyes as he touched things that did not belong to him. He snorted as Charlie touched the flowers that were in a pot. "Kitty, you're not at the right house yet. Don't be getting distracted now.." -
