Kayleigh nodded at the second suggestion, looking at the emotionally devastated hybrid on their floor. "I think sooner rather than later might be better. I guess I can give them some supervised together time on the couch until you get back."
-
Olivia nodded, feeling a bit sorry that she couldn't relax just yet, but she felt worse for Kayleigh, who was obviously stressed. "I'll be quick," she promised, giving her one last quick hug before hurrying out again. As she left, a long, mournful howl sounded from upstairs.
-
Kayleigh stood up once Olivia was leaving, just as Lucas howled upstairs. Marco shot up faster than she thought was possible, and went rushing upstairs, shouting Lucas' name the whole way. She followed him, of course, watching as he struggled with the door handle.
-
Lucas was howling louder at the rattling of the door, worried that they were still supposed to be kept apart. "Kayleigh, please! We'll be good! Marco, Marco, I'm here!" he called frantically, pressing against the door.
-
"Okay, okay!" Kayleigh gently moved Marco's clumsy hands out of the way, and pulled the door open. Immediately, Marco went rushing into the room to cling onto his mate, throwing his arms and legs around the other hybrid.
-
Lucas hugged him tightly, his arms holding the fox firmly to his chest. He buried his face in Marco's shoulder, sighing. "I'm here," he mumbled, sounding relieved to have his mate back safely.
-
Marco was still sniffling, but underneath it he was whimpering and purring and altogether a mess. Kayleigh sighed, feeling bad for having seperated them, but also hadn't wanted anything else to happen. "Alright, you guys can be together, but you have to sit downstairs with me. Olivia's gone to get what you need, and then you can do whatever you want downstairs."
-
Lucas didn't loosen his grip, and took another moment just to hold his mate. "Okay...thank you," he murmured to Kayleigh, carrying Marco down the stairs and taking a seat on the couch, cuddling him close.
-
Marco sat on Lucas' lap,his face in the crook of the other's neck. "I thought you were gone," he mumbled, hugging him. "I'm really glad you're not." Kayleigh came downstairs soon after, sitting in an armchair next to the couch, and turned on the television.
-
"I would never just leave you like that," he said firmly. "I promise." he kissed his forehead before directing his attention to the tv, wondering what sort of show Kayleigh would put on.
-
Marco relaxed in Lucas' embrace, starting to fall asleep on his shoulder he felt much better now that he was back, so he was growing tired again. Kayleigh decided on Ellen, a re-run, where a Spanish and Italian guy were talking about a movie they were acting in.
-
ahhHHH these spamano references give me life I swear)
Lucas perked up curiosly, peering at the screen. "Hey, Marco, look, it's those guys from before," he said, looking confused. "Why are they here again?" -
Me too it's awesome xD)
Marco looked up, turning his head so he could see the television. The tanner guy was showing off a tie, and was pointing out that him and the other guy matched. "Dunno," Marco mumbled. "They're from a new movie," Kayleigh said, "That comes out soon. They just said they're together." -
Lucas tilted his head. He'd never understood human relationships. "So they're mates?" he asked, confused. "They both talk funny."
-
"Mm, something like that. They're dating. People like to, I guess, try out being.. Mates, before they really commit to it forever. And even then, it doesn't always work out." She laughed a little at his second comment, saying, "They're from different countries, and speak other langauges, so they have accents."
