"Just keep talking about stuff," Serene says while grinning. "Or Maybe I'll just dare you to date that Abnegation transfer right now... I forget his name though."
Melanie tilted her head to the side, some of her hair falling in front of her face. "Are you glad that you're able to lie now if you want to?" she questions just out of curiosity. -
"Oh damn Serene, you really are souless, now, aren't you?" Charlotte's eyes were wide, with a type of embarassment.
"Nah, I don't think I'll ever outgrow my inbred honesty. That's how they raised me. To lie..it would be..weird." Kendall knew he would have to lie, but he didn't want to think about that right now. -
Serene laughed again. "What? Afraid of a Stiff?" she questioned with a wild look in her eyes. She really was cut out to be Dauntless.
Melanie laughed a little, just for the sake of laughing like she usually dose. "If you want I can help you with lying," she joked. Even though it was a joke she was afraid that Kendall might actually need it. -
"No." Charlotte snapped, trying to search for a good comeback, as she crossed her arms across her chest.
"No, that's okay." Kendall answered, his tongue beginning to feel weird in his mouth as he said this. -
Serene grins even more. "Alright then," she starts. "In a week, and yes a week to add suspense, I dare you to ask the Stiff out."
Melanie leaned to the side a little more, looking past Kendall. "It's your turn to get food," she states while straightening her back, back up. -
"Ugh..how do I even-" Charlotte sighed in frustration. She wasn't overly experienced in relationships, in fact, she wasn't experienced at all.
Kendall turned his head around to see that Melanie, was, indeed, correct. He nodded, his eyes a bit narrowed, and marched off to get food. -
Serene laughs as they set foot in the cafeteria. "Like you said," she states. "You can't go back on a dare, so now you're stuck with it and you have a week to dread over it."
Melanie followed after Kendall, practically following him around because she was too afraid to walk around the huge, noisy room by herself. "Sorry for stalking you, I'm just a little nervous walking around here by myself," she admits. -
Charlotte bit her lip and said, adding a bit more pep to her voice, "Okay! Bring it on!" She bragged, her confidence coming back.
Kendall nodded, looking to her, "Hey, at least you're honest about it, hm?" He smiled, his Candor self showing. -
Serene laughed and stuck her tongue out at her. She then looked over to the lunch line and grinned. "Race you," she says while looking back to Charlotte.
Melanie laughs as she gathers some food on her plate. "Would you rather me admit that I'm just following you because I really am a stalker?" she joked sarcastically. -
Charlotte smiled, "Well, okay!" She dashed off, finding no reason for a countdown from three down.
"Sure." Kendall teased, smirking. He focused on putting food onto his plate, and when he was done, he wandered aimlessly. -
"Hey!" Serene called after her, grinning as she ran, trying her hardest to beat Charlotte to the lunch line.
Melanie followed Kendall until she found Mal sitting at a table by himself. "Hey, why don't we go sit by that Abnegation transfer?" Melanie suggests. "I forget what his name is though." -
"What?!" Charlotte yelled, continuing to sprint across the room, momentem passing through her body.
"Sure." Kendall answered, biting his tongue. "His name used to be Ryan, I didn't pay attention to his new name, though." -
Serene quickly ran, trying her hardest to catch up with Charlotte. "You didn't do a count down!" she complained childishly.
"Don't you think it's weird how we were the only one's to keep our original names?" Melanie joked with a smile. "It must be a Divergent thing." As soon as Melanie said this she quickly wanted to take it back. She hoped that Kendall didn't hear her say this; she was afraid that he might find out that she's Divergent and turn her in! "Uh..." she said, while thinking of something to cover that up. -
"Too bad!" She snapped, laughing manically. Slowing down out of mercy, she ran in pace with Serene.
Kendall bit his lip, and mouthed, "You too?" His eyes showed a deep concern, as his head was at a tilt. He was worried that he might've heard her wrong. -
"Oh damn you," Serene says while laughing as she slowed down a little. "Miss Long Legs." She shook her head sadly as she laughed.
Melanie looked up at him, a little shocked. She didn't think that he'd actually be Divergent too but for some reason she was kind of glad that he was Divergent, this way she wouldn't have to worry about him turning her in. She just nodded her head silently, her hands going numb.
