Serene laughs. "Other factions consider it Hell though," she states and then she chugs some soda.
"Uh, he was Erudite, I was Abnegation; in case you didn't notice, Erudites and Abnegations don't mix well," Mal states.
"What's up?" Melanie asked, just to make small conversation. She kept on drifting back into her mind again and again while she talked. -
"Yeah well, they don't need to understand." Charlotte smiled, a very bold smile. There was nothing that could mess up her state of mind.
"Yeah, but now you're both Dauntless." Kendall said, clicking his tongue. "Now, you have to mix well. You're the same."
"Err..nothing. Just trying to get used to the Dauntless way of life." River answered. She began to wonder why she chose Dauntless. -
*sings "They don't need to understand"*))
Serene grins. "No, no they don't," she agrees while she blindly throws her soda can over at Richard's table.
"Screw that man," Mal answers, finally finishing his tray of food. "I rather jump into the Chasm."
Melanie nodded agreeing with River. She couldn't help but have her eyes flicker over to Kendall and then back blankly down at her plate. She couldn't believe that there was another Divergent other than herself. "I guess we all have to," she says plainly. -

Richard smiled as the soda can hit his table. He shrugged, and decided to throw it at another table, not even shocked the soda almost hit him.
"You do realize..You're not Abnegation anymore, and he's not Erudite?" Kendall pointed out, swishing his tongue in his mouth.
"Yeah, totally." River agreed, her eyes wide. She felt the tip of her crimped hair, due to the side braid that she had taken out prior to dinner. -

"Oh, hey, you heard about the new rules about initiation right?" Serene questioned though a mouth full of food.
"Well, yes I know," Mal answers. "But that still doesn't change the fact that he's such a jerk." Mal then threw death glares over at Richard.
Melanie pushed her tray of food away; it wasn't anywhere close to being finished. She didn't feel hungry though, she'd lost her appetite after she starting thinking about her Divergence. -

"Uh.. No." Charlotte tilted her head, confused. "What are they?" She gnawed the side of her mouth in question.
Richard was busy smiling and all, laughing when he got pushed by the more aggressive dauntless borns. He was sitting next to quite a few agressive dauntless borns, but a few flirty, charming ones as well.
River tilted her head, "You know, you're going to need food if you want to get through initation without..dying."
Kendall smiled, "You've met him once. Even I know, as a person who used to be in Candor, that you shouldn't judge someone if you've only encountered them once." -

"In training we'll be eliminated each week, or two weeks or something like that. The people at the bottom of the list are out and factionless," Serene states, worried deep inside but when she talks she seems brave as ever.
Melanie nodded. "Yeah I know," she states softly. "I'm just not hungry. Lost my appetite I guess." Melanie clears her throat as she runs her fingers though her dark hair.
Mal just decides to shrug at that. He didn't really know what to say to that so he just took another huge bite of his food. -

"Oh.. I see." Charlotte tried to keep her worried self from letting her voice shake. She was too strong for that.
"Oh, That's understandable." River agreed, chowing down food, hungry from the long day.
Kendall smiled, "Gotcha." His smile was a smug, smartass smile that would annoy people with its clear message of I told you so. -

"But I'm sure we'll be fine," Serene adds to assure Charlotte. Or maybe it wasn't just for her; maybe it was for herself as well.
Melanie nodded silently. She had begun to feel quite depressed for some reason. Maybe it was from changing earlier and remembering her scar; or maybe it wasn't her scar, maybe it was what caused it.
"Oh you little ass," Mal says with a laugh while playfully punching Kendall in the arm. "You little ass," he repeats again. -

"Yeah, I know. We've trained our whole lives for this, anyway. How could we fail?" Charlotte managed a smile.
River continued to chow down her food happily and without a care. Maybe, afterall, the Dauntless life WAS for her.
"Oh, well, thats me!" Kendall exclaimed, his sly smile not disapearing. He was happy with his new life..so far.
Richard was loudly arguing with some gruff, darkskinned, shaved head, yellow eyed Dauntless born about who had the better life, the Erudite or the Dauntless. -
Serene laughed and nodded, feeling a little better about the new rules and the fear of becoming factionless.
"You're an ass then?" Mal questioned with a smirk. "Where's your ears then? Ha, maybe you should have changed your name to ass." Mal stopped for a second. "What the... I'm not even making any sense. Mal, just shut up."
Melanie stood up and cleared her throat. "I'm going to head back to our room," she says simply. She then walks away with her tray to throw her uneaten food away. -
Charlotte smiled, looking back and wondering why she kept her name. "Why did you keep your name?"
"Yes, please DO shut up." Kendall teased, sticking out his tongue playfully, laughing a bit.
"Have fun with that." River teased, looking around and wondering what she should do. -

Serene just shrugs. "Why'd you keep yours? I guess we all have different reasons," she answers simply as if it wasn't a big deal.
Mal laughs a little as he pretends to zip his mouth up and lock it with a key. He just rolls his eyes after that.
"Yeah okay," Melanie answers too lost in her mind to come up with a human answer with emotion. -

"That's the thing, I'm not sure." Charlotte licked her lips, confused. "Maybe it was a spur of the moment."
Kendall smiled, and patted Mal's head, "Good boy." He laughed a bit at himself, returning the hand to his lap. -
I had to give the dog a bath.

Serene nodded her head agreeing with her. "Yeah, guess so. I just didn't think I'd want a new name," Serene adds.
"Oh so I'm a dog now?" Mal asked. "Bark, bark." Mal then facepalmed. "Why... Mal... I'm stupid I really should shut up." Mal then shook his head again wondering why he was acting so childish.
