Anne nodded and leaned against the counter. "How was last night for you?"

She shrugged and looked down at the floor, then back up at Anne, not knowing how to describe all the emotions she had felt last night. She then took the bacon out of the microwave and transferred it to a cleaner plate.

"I remember mine, actually. That was awful. He was one of the pack's favorites." She sighed.

She groaned a bit whole chewing on a piece of bacon, happy to sympathize. "It felt like everyone's eyes were piercing int o my soul. Fun stuff, really." She agreed, holding a strip of bacon out to her. "Bacon?"

She took the strip of bacon and thanked the younger werewolf. "Well, it's over now. Next one won't be half as bad. For you, anyway."

"Thanks." She smiled a bit and finished the bacon, putting the plate in the sink.

"And hopefully, it won't be any time soon." Anne wiped her fingers on one of the kitchen towels. "Where's Lyall?"

Everly shrugged, now noticing Lyall's absence. "Probably in his room, I guess."

"I thought he'd be with you," she commented, smiling a bit.

"Why would you think that?" she asked, leaning over the counter. -
