He stood up and walked over to his desk, where he sat down and started organizing the top drawer.

She sighed and leaned against the wall.

After that, he arranged his dresser. And then dusted. And then tried to read again.
After twenty minutes of being locked in, he collapsed against the door. "Everly?" he whimpered. -
She heard him and set her phone down, walking to his door. "Want to come out now?"

"Yes please," he whispered, scooting away so she could open the door.

She sighed and slowly opened the door.

Just as the door opened, he tackled her into a tight embrace. "See? We get lonely easily," Lyall murmured into her ear.

She stiffened a bit, surprised, before reluctantly hugging him back. "Yea, I see." she said softly, ignoring the fact that he was practically crushing her ribcage.

He loosened his hold, and then let go of her, realizing it may have been awkward for her. "So... uh, I think I'm going to go see how everyone else is, if that's okay..."

She relaxed and looked back up a him. "Yea..sure."

He smiled a bit at Everly, then headed for the stairs.

She sighed and walked back to her room. -
Over the course of the next few hours, he checked up on everyone, and helped those who weren't finished yet. There was some minor conflict with his brother, but everything was resolved pretty easily. The night came sooner than he expected.

She followed everyone downstairs and outside, to where the fire was.

There was a pyre built up, short walls on the edges barely passing the wolf's shrouded body. In front of it, someone had started a fire and left a stack of wood for lighting the pyre. As tradition, each pack member said their final goodbyes aloud, then lit a torch. Everly was the last to go, and the first to light the pyre.
