He finished bandaging her arm and looked at her wing carefully. It was only broken in one place and it would take a week to heal. He was a bit astounded that she had wings, but he shook the though from his head. He looked at her. "This might hurt, but I'm gonna snap it back into place...alright?"
The cat purred more and licked her hand happily. -
"...A-Alright." She consented after a moment's hesitation. She was nervous, hoping it wouldn't hurt too badly. She tried to calm herself and focused on the black-furred creature, who was now rasping it's little tongue over her fingers.
-
He nodded and carefully sent the bone back in place with a small snap. He then made sure it was perfect and carefully placed it against her back. He then looked at the other wing. "Nothing badly damaged here, just don't fly for a week." He chuckled lightly at his small joke.
The cat soon crawled onto her lap and curled up, falling asleep on her lap, purring in it's sleep. -
She let out a pained whimper as he snapped the bone back into place. She looked up form the sleeping thing in her lap to examine the human. Laughing when she was in pain. She knew he was just the same. She silently shrunk away from him, a little unsure of what he would do to her now that she'd been treated.
-
He saw her back away from him. "I only meant it as a joke Miss...um I have a spare room that you can stay in since you don't have any place to go." He mumbled lightly and held his hand out to help her up. "You know what since Ron likes you so much he can sleep with you tonight." He smiled calmly at her, trying to calm her down.
-
She glanced down at the 'Ron' in her lap and then back at him. She tentatively reached out and took his hand, biting her lip anxiously. "You...you're not going to hurt me?" She asked, almost sounding shocked.
-
He smiled sincerely and shook his head no. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm not that kind of person." He picked up Ron from her lap and helped her up, walking her to the spare room he had in his apartment. He heard the shock in her voice and wondered what those people did to her. "I could...get you some clothes tomorrow..."
-
She turned to face him, looking confused and a little agitated. "Why are you being so kind to me?" She asked, a hint of accusation in her voice. Try as she might, Saphirre just couldn't figure out his reasons.
-
He walked into the room and set Ron on the bed. He glanced back at her. "You looked scared and in need of help. I wanted to help you and I don't want anything out of it." He walked out of the room and stopped near the door. "If you need anything my door is across the room, but I'll need you to knock."
-
She frowned and watched him, still trying to figure out his unnecessary kindness. Helping someone...without expecting something in return? She just didn't understand. She sighed, looking up at him again. "Okay...t-thank you." For now it didn't seem like he would hurt her; that was good.
-
He smiled at her and nodded. "You're welcome miss...Good night and don't put alot of pressure on your wing that I put back into place." He finally walked out of the room and finally to his own. He got dressed for bed and hoped she would figure out he had some clothes in the room for her to wear.
Ron purred in his sleep as he was curled up on the bed. -
She spotted the clothes and changed quickly. She slipped under the blankets and a smile ghosted over her face. She wasn't used the softness of the blankets. She settled in and avoided laying on her wing, closing her eyes contentedly.
-
The cat woke up and trotted up to where her face was, curling up near th pillow she lied her head on and fell back asleep.
Daniel was already asleep and thinking of what he was going to do and how to get her clothes the next day. -
Saphirre gave the Ron one last glimpse before yawning softly and falling asleep herself. For once she drifted without any new wounds. She was safe, or at least away from the lab. That was good enough for now.
-
Daniel woke up when he heard his alarm clock go off loudly near his ear. He slammed his fist on the snooze button and sat up, yawning lightly. He got out of bed and shuffled to his kitchen, glancing into his guest's room and seeing she was still sound asleep. He smiled and finally go to the kitchen, starting to cook a wonderful breakfast of french toast and bacon.
