Zane laughed a little bit, taking a strand of her golden hair and playing with it in his fingers. "You're beautiful, Grace," He said, sincerely, "Those words on your arms? I want you to never, ever, ever believe them. Those evil people won't hurt you any more." It hurt Zane to see Grace believing the words the people he hated most claimed her to be. The people that had tortured them, brought them to their darkest places, they were liars. They were evil. To Zane, they were like Satan. He wished them dead, he wished them to be tortured in Hell for eternity. They had caused Zane dark thoughts- about himself, about his friend, about his life, about them. Now, Zane's dark thoughts were all about them. He wished them the worst things- the things Zane felt sinful for wishing upon them. They hurt him- and more importantly, Grace. He would never forgive them for that reason.
Enya rolled her watering eyes, "Oh my God, Evan, really?" She said, slapping him gently, "You pull a Pierce The Veil quote on me and then get all emotional? Goddamnit, now I'm going to get all emotional!" She exclaimed, hugging him tightly, putting her face into her chest. For a moment- she wondered. How long had Evan liked her? Did he only start liking her when they got kidnapped? It's not like it mattered, she was grateful to have such an amazing man by her side, but she was curious. Enya had always had a small crush on Evan- but it had gotten quite extreme just before they got kidnapped. She thought about a song she heard a long time ago, There's always another day, another night, a bittersweet blessing in disguise.. Enya thought about the time that she wanted to die- but never let herself drop off the edge. She realized, if she had died, at any time time in her life, she wouldn't have Evan right then.
Goddamnit this is emotional -
so much love man
The smile on Grace's face almost instantly faded and her lip started to quiver as her blue eyes filled up with tears. She didn't know why her smile had went away, but her hands started shaking as she thought of the words cut deep into her skin. So many words, and for a while Grace had believed it. All of the lies she had thought to be painful truths; she believed it. She had anyways. But there Zane was, lying right in front of her, changing everything. It was like a whole new door had opened up for her as others behind her slammed shut; she knew she couldn't go back. That's not how life worked. A quivering smile crossed Grace's lips as tears rolled down her cheeks, one after another. So many confusing emotions were running through her; pain, love, sadness, and yet happiness. A slight laugh escaped her lips as well, and she couldn't help but let out a small sob as she buried her head into Zane's chest. Grace never handled her emotions very well. "Zane, you have no idea how happy I am to have you right now," she cried while clutching onto his shirt as if it was her lifeline. She tried to breathe him in; his smell. Try to compare his scent to something calming to calm herself down.
Evan grunted a bit in surprise when Enya threw her arms around him, but he almost instantly relaxed and pulled her closer to him. He didn't want to let her go, not anytime soon anyways. If he let her go, he was afraid he would end up losing her forever, and he didn't want that. No, not in a million years. After all the hell they went through, he found himself extremely lucky to still have Enya; a few times he was afraid he had lost her. "I'm just speaking the truth, Princess," Evan muttered lovingly into her hair. "You deserve to know this, even if it does make you emotional. f---, I think I might start crying too, but you don't want to see me do that," he tried to joke to lighten the emotional mood. "Never in a million years would I want to leave your side. I love you so much, it's like a feeling I can't explain. I don't know what you're doing to me Enya, but I love it, I love you. Keep doing it." -
Tell me about it.. Jeez they're emotional
Zane sighed, petting her hair affectionately. "I love you, Grace. I love you more than Romeo loved Juliet, I love you more than Clyde loved Bonnie, I love you more than the Joker loved Harley Quinn, more than Caesar loved Cleopatra. I love you more than God loved the world." He kissed the top of her head, thinking about how terrible it would be to lose Grace. Now that he had her, he didn't want to ever let go. Now that he had her, he couldn't live without her. She was Zane's only warmth, she completed his heart. She made her feel whole in a way no one had before. He only hoped she felt the same way. Zane didn't know how the evil people could make up such cruel lies- He couldn't even bring himself to say the words about Grace that they dug into her skin. "If I ever lost you, I would probably slip into a coma and ask to never wake up. Now that I have you, I can't live without you. Now that your mine, all I want to be is yours. I love you."
Enya looked up to Evan, her eyes still watery. "Yeah, you would look pretty pathetic crying. And didn't I tell you not to call me princess? Oh well, I can't stop you." She muttered. "You know what? I don't have words to explain how you make me feel. You make me feel.. Less crazy? You make me feel like I'm worth something, like I'm wanted, like I'm not alone. You're my world, you possess a part of me I can't even possess myself. I know you have struggled with some issues yourself, but I don't judge you for that. I love every piece of you, no matter how dark or hating it may be. It does hurt me to see you struggle, but you won't anymore now that I'm with you." She said, not sure how to phrase it. -
Grace slowly ran her fingers up and down Zane's chest. She remembered what they had done to him; the blood, the bleach, the knife; how the sick b------s even gave them a front row seat. Smashing that stupid screen was probably the best thing she had ever done. Both of them had scars, ones that would never fade away; ones that would be permanent reminders of the hell the two of them went through, but then they had each other. They had each other to remind themselves on why there were even alive that day; why Grace was there clutching Zane's shirt like her life line, and why he was there loving her. Slowly, she pulled her face out of his chest and looked into his eyes again. "And I don't know what I would have done if I lost you. I'm never leaving you; I don't want to leave you, ever. I'll let you be mine if you let me be yours."
Even let out a slight laugh, though he wasn't sure why he laughed. "Neither of us have to struggle anymore. We're safe now. I'm not going to let anyone hurt you. You have no idea how happy I am to make you feel the way you do, to make you feel happy. I'm never leaving you alone. If you want to go crazy, you better be damn sure that I'll go crazy with you." As Evan spoke, he couldn't help cup one of Enya's cheeks in his hand, rubbing away her tears with his thumb. "And I'm going to keep calling you Princess, Enya. You're my world, and anyone who's gone through hell and back and got those painful memories on their wrists deserve to be treated like royalty instead of s--- like the rest of the world does." -
Zane smiled a little, pressing their lips together. Since he couldn't find much to say, he figured that saying nothing was the best solution. Saying something in that situation might have ruined the moment, anyways. Zane wrapped his arms around Grace's neck, slowly pulling away after a while. "Hey, promise me you'll never give up on the world? I know it's ugly out there, but there is beauty hidden where you would least expect it. There is hope for the world, believe it or not." Zane knew the world was dark and full of hate, but if you looked hard enough you could find a light that shone as bright as a thousand stars. Zane was positive. Grace had taught him that, and now he didn't doubt the fact that there was hope for the world.
"Jesus you're making this seem like an X-Rated Rom-Com," Enya joked, rolling her eyes again, "It's not sexy at all, man." She smiled widely, reaching up a hand to wrap it around Evan's shoulder. She looked up to him, adding, "Also, b----, get a haircut. It's not 2005 anymore, no matter how much you want it to be. My Chemical Romance is broken up, stop acting like it's Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge." She did so in a teasing way, giving a small giggle. She moved up and kissed his cheek, gently. -
A small smile crossed Grace's lips as she looked at the person in front of her. A few weeks ago, there was no way in Hell Grace could ever make that promise to Zane. Sure she could lie and say she would try, only knowing that she'd fail horribly in the process. But things were different now; oh so wonderfully different. "I think I found all of the hope and beauty I need in the world already. It's right in front of me," she spoke softly while carefully kissing his lips in a quick peck.
"Ew, Rom-Coms," Evan teased back while kissing her nose carefully. "And slut, don't you dare act like my hair isn't sexy as f---, because it is. There's no way in hell I'm cutting it. My Chemical Romance will get the f--- back together, you just watch. If not, we'll just have to form our own band." A slight smirk crossed Evan's lips as he wrapped his free arm around Enya's waist, squeezing her sides a bit and wondering if he could tickle her or not. -
Zane blushed incredibly at Grace's words. He smiled at the small kiss he received. Sure, they had shared a variety of kisses together, but Zane found each and every one special and beautiful in it's own way. They were all memorable- even if he couldn't remember them. It was appalling the effect she had on him- one that no one had ever gotten even gotten close too. Zane wrapped his arms around the girl in front of him, loving that he was the lucky man to get to share his time with her. He considered himself privileged, and he reminded himself of that every day. Because this was no third grade class crush, this was love. A feeling that few were fortunate enough to possess. He had always thought he would be one of the unfortunate ones- never being loved by a partner. Never finding love in someone else. But as it turned out, shockingly enough, Zane was one of the bless ones to receive the gift of love- And he wouldn't trade it for anything else. "I love you, Grace."
Enya squealed a bit at Evan squeezing her sides, giving him a reprimanding look. She crossed her arms, sticking her tongue out at him. "I still say you look like Gerard Way from the 2005's. Not in a good way, either." She teased, grinning widely. "Just kidding, you're hot as hell." She admitted with a small chuckle. The red headed girl took a hand and messed up his hair, fixing her own afterwards. Enya ignored the hand around her waist at this point, not entirely caring what he was doing. -
Grace buried her face in Zane's neck, brushing her lips up against his skin softly as she closed her eyes and breathed him in. His smell was intoxicating enough, and his love was a million times worse. Not worse in a bad way, but worse in a much, much better way. She felt his arms fully wrap around her and she let him pull her closer. A smirk crossed her lips as the odd thought of 'wow, I'm glad my parent's aren't home' rang through her head. She couldn't help but giggle at that, and how her heart fluttered when Zane told her that he loved her. "I love you more," she said softly, beginning to drift off into sleep; again.
(Christ girl, haven't you already slept enough, like damn)
An even bigger grin crossed Evan's lips when Enya gave him a look that literally said "f--- you" and yet told him he was hot at the same time. It was funny how the two could insult each other; hey b----, you're such an ass; and mean it lightly enough to still love each other. He let her ruffle up his hair, not really caring that in reality he probably looked like s---. "You keep quoting all this My Chemical Romance s--- and comparing me to Gerard Way. Are you secretly pretending I'm him to fill some weird fetish of yours?" he questioned playfully. -
Zane rolled his eyes at her last comment before falling asleep. He smirked, realizing how peaceful she looked like asleep. She literally looked like an angel to Zane. While asleep, she looked unharmed and unbothered from the evils of the world, oozing innocence. 'Wow,' He thought to himself, 'What a shame such a beautiful girl has to wake up to the evils of this world.' Although that sounded quite homicidal, he meant it nothing like that. Zane sighed, knowing that Grace was nothing like the sinful world. She was but an angel, wrongfully placed upon Earth to bear the pain that the sinful humans could not bear themselves. He sighed to himself, realizing how Biblical that sounded. Chuckling a bit, he decided to close his eyes as well, not finding sleep, but moreover a sweet, much needed daydream~
(Meh teenage girls love to sleep)
"No, shut up." Enya said, cruelly. She playfully pushed Evan off of her, sighing, annoyed. She let herself lay on the bed they were on, lazily staring up at the white ceiling. A few times, she let her brown eyes flicker over to Evan, letting a wide leer spread across her face. Her wavy, auburn hair spread out across the bed, carelessly. It was in knots, not like she cared too much. Enya put her arms under her head, losing herself in thoughts for a few moments before snapping back to reality. -
As Grace slept, she couldn't help but snuggle closer into Zane's chest and clutch his shirt tighter. Even in her sleep she was aware that she didn't want to let him go. She never wanted him to leave, and she never wanted to leave him. Millions of nightmares threatened to invade her mind, a problem her and her other friends were probably having, but nothing invaded her mind yet. But the feeling that something should be there, haunting her, that was driving her crazy. But then her dreaming mind wandered on Zane's mother. She was still gone, taken away by the same people who stole her, Zane, Enya, and Evan. What was happening to her?
After Enya pushed him off of her, Evan laid on his side, his arm propping his head up, and he just laid there watching Enya. No, he wasn't watching her in a stalker like way, but was watching her in a loving way. His cool blue eyes danced over Enya's body, her face, her hair; he just took in her beauty. It was amazing someone as broken and messed up as Evan could have someone like Enya. Sure she was broken too, but sometimes the pieces of two broken people fit together and fixed each other. Evan's thoughts then drifted to how Enya seemed to had fixed him. But oh no, he was getting philosophical. Evan didn't want that. God, I'm an idiot he thought to himself, a slight smirk crossing his lips. -
Zane's unconscious body enjoyed Grace clutching to him so tightly. It made him feel safe- knowing she wouldn't leave. Dark thoughts had began to swarm his mind- of worry and hatred. He imagined his own mother- locked inside the room he had been inprisioned in with three other people- enduring unspeakable torture. Zane found himself crying in his sleep, grabbing Grace as well and pulling her closer, pessimistic. His mother was the only parent he had- he would be a sad, lonely orphan if she was gone. No, he couldn't allow that. He was going to do everything in his power to keep his mother and everyone close to him safe. Zane knew he might fail- and it would tear him apart. Oh, Lord, how scared he was to lose the people he loved..
"Hey, baby." Enya smiled, looking to her boyfriend. "Let's do something interesting. You're boring me." She complained, giving a theatrically bored face. Sure, she was being a bit over dramatic, but that was Enya's style. The auburn haired girl found herself laughing a lot around Evan- as it had always been. They had always been broken- ever since the time they met. When they first met, her brother was suffering greatly. Enya hated to see him suffer with his inner demons- and he had tried to kill himself a few times. Enya was quite young to understand such a thing- but knew it could mean losing her brother. When Evan and Enya met- they immediately had a connection. She had been the first- and only person she had really ever opened up to. He always had a way of calming her down- and they always shared each other's pains and demons to make the world easier on both of them. -
Even in Grace's sleeping state, she was very aware of Zane pulling her closer, but it wasn't in the comfortable at ease and loving way. She could feel the tension; she could feel his tears. Something was up and she knew it, she tried to wake herself up but that's when she felt it; the pain in her stomach. The red sticky substance that had stained her so long ago; the gun shot. She could feel it all over again; the life slipping away from her, the taste of blood in her mouth, choking her as she tried to gasp for air. The gunshot still rang in her head loud and clear, the fuzzy and numb feeling spreading through her again. Blood. So much blood.
"You're bored, huh?" Evan questioned with a raised eyebrow. A million things popped into Evan's mind at that moment, and he instantly tried to push them out. Enya still had that party to get ready for, so they couldn't really go out drinking together without someone trying to bust their ass. Drinking was something you did at night anyways; it was more fun that way. But at that moment, something clicked in Evan. Something told him that he wanted Enya. To feel her lips on his in a sort of fiery passion, to just lie there together and block the rest of the world out. He wanted her in a way that they never had before, but that obviously wasn't a good idea either. "What do you want to do then? How should I entertain you?" -
Zane tried to jolt awake- but wound up shivering in his sleep. He mumbled a few words, holding her close. He wished for the dream to become something much more pleasant- but that didn't happen. Instead, he remembered how each and every one of them came back torn, broken, and afraid. He remembered Evan coming back terrified of dogs and covered in flesh wounds. Zane remembered Enya coming back with her back battered, bloody, with shards of glass sticking out of the fleshy mess. He remembered Grace- the most painful- coming back emotionally scarred with lies on her arms. Lastly, he reimagined himself. The cut into his chest, the bleach poured into it...
"I don't know." Enya said, shrugging. She glanced at the black haired boy next to her, blushing a little for an unknown reason. "I mean, we aren't kids anymore, so I guess playing with stuffed animals is out of the question." Enya smirked a little, thinking about child Evan and her innocently playing in her backyard- pretending to be animals of some sort. Yes, they were once innocent. When they were free from the pain of the world- even though at the time she was still burdened with her brother's issues- even though he was only a year older than her. The same age as Evan, actually. Enya had always found that a little odd- as Jace, her brother, Evan, her best friend as a child, and herself had always been close. Jace from a young age was bullied, as well as being dyslexic, ADHD and bipolar. She always defended him. -

ah f---
After exerting much effort, though, Grace was finally able to wake herself up from her dream. She wasn't sure if she could really call it a nightmare, though, but the pain felt so real. But that's when she noticed Zane; mumbling and shivering in his sleep. It was obvious that something bad was going on, and so Grace reached up and started running her fingers through his hair. "Zane..." she said softly. "Zane, wake up. It's okay, you're safe. It's just a dream." Grace desperately hoped that she would be able to wake Zane up, because it was obvious that he wasn't going to wake up smiling and happy, and she felt hopeless that she couldn't help him.
A smirk crossed Evans lip at the thought of them playing with stuffed animals when they were younger. To be honest, even as a kid he thought it was probably the most stupidest thing in the world. He would rather be an army guy, just like every other boy his age would had done, but he did it for Enya, because even then he had feelings for her. At that moment, he felt stupid for realizing just how long he had really been in love with the girl in front of him. "Well, we could always ditch the stupid party and go out somewhere else," Even suggested. "We could even bring Jace with us too... uh... where ever the hell he's at."
