"Absolutely nothing. I'm being comforting you dick."
Something about the fact that he'd actually just called the cat a dick bothered him, but he chose to ignore it.
"Oh please, that guy couldn't do anything. He's such a f---ing pansy. You'd have been fine."
The guy had probably left by now, anyway. Everyone would be asking what had happened, and the explanation would have led to him getting a lot of uncomfortable looks from everyone involved. -
That's surprising. Why? Ginji asked, yawning.
Can't take any chances. Mom always said you can't be too safe. -
"Mood swings." he said decisively when he couldn't find a real answer to the question. The answer wouldn't have mattered anyway. He was well aware of what kind of a person he was.
He blinked and looked up at the cat, tilting his head.
"Oh, that is bulls---. Of course you can be too safe. Live in a f---ing bubble for a week or two and tell me if you're not a little too safe." -
Life in a bubble is nice. Especially if the bubble has food and a nice fireplace to sleep in front of. Ginji stated, distractedly. His cattiness was beginning to take over, and he scratched at the trunk of the tree, purring.
-
Fall smirked, lowering his face and staring at the ground again.
"A fireplace? Jesus, you're such a feline." -
Ohreally? I thought dogs like fireplaces. Ginji replied, chuckling.
-
"Do we? I wouldn't know."
-
That's sad. So when are you leaving? Ginji asked, swatted at a leaf on the branch above himself, purring still.
-
"Nah, fireplaces are lame. And..."
He picked up another leaf, staring at it boredly, but couldn't find the interest to actually devein it, so he dropped it.
"I'll leave only when I have you again. I hope you like trees." -
Give up. Go find another cat to catch. He huffed, glaring down at him.
-
"If I leave now, I'll lose."
-
Lose? Ginji asked, leaping down to a lower branch boredly.
-
"If I leave now, I'll lose." Fall repeated, stretching out his arms and scanning the forest floor for anything to hold his interest.
-
That doesn't make sense. Ginji said, tilting his head.
-
"I think it does." he mumbled, reaching for a pinecone and pulling it apart.
