"Goodnight." He walked out, but bumped up against he door on accident as he left. He smiled, embarrassed, and left normally.

She watched him go, confused slightly. He was obviously hiding something. She quickly finished eating, though, and tried to push her curiosity aside.

When he got upstairs, he checked on his arm. "Doesn't look too bad so far..." he whispered to himself.

She grabbed the plates and silverware, and went into the kitchen and began to clean up. She hummed quietly as she did this, the same song as before.

Adrian went to his room in case she came upstairs. Once he got there and sat on his bed, his fist clenched as new pain shot up his arm. He stood and made his way over to the fireplace.

After she finished, she sighed, wondering why he'd acted so weird. She was still thinking about it as she went to her room and sat on the window seat, staring out at the night sky.

He tried to start a fire, but the pain grew too strong for him to do so. He flopped back into the chair in front of the fireplace and braced himself.

She remembered a bit of the lyrics, and sung faintly under her breath. It made her feel better, and let her mind wander.

The next hour or so would be pure torture for him, as it was every night.

And I suppose she eventually went off and got changed, curling up on the bed to fall asleep.

Halfway through he probably passed out. We can time skip now.

Morning time.
Miri woke up, yawning widely. She went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. She changed and brushed her hair, slowly, methodically. -
When Adrian woke up the next morning, he found a long gash running down his forearm. He got up and went to his own bathroom to take care of it.

She braided her hair down her back, then smiled, walking out into the hallway. She went toward the kitchen, intent on making breakfast.
