She continued dusting, then boredly asked "If you don't mind me asking, what kind of books do you like to read?"

"Nonfiction," he replied. "Why? What do you like?"

"I just wondered. I prefer fantasy."

"You're welcome to borrow anything at any time, then."

"Alright, thank you." She said, and began to read some of the titles as she continued cleaning.

He continued to shelve his books.

She continued cleaning, and the silence caused her to feel the urge to hum. So she did, however quietly.

"What you're humming... that's very pretty." He walked past her, shelving a book as he went.

She stopped, glancing over at him, slightly embarrassed "Thank you."

He smirked. "You're welcome. Hey, when you're done, I need your help with something."

"Alright." She said, and reached up, dusting off the higher shelves. She finished quickly.

He waited. "I've never had time to fix the ladder but I'd like the globe on the top shelf. If I lift you, will you be able to reach it?"

"I don't know. I suppose we can try."

He lifted her up onto his shoulders, then walked over to the shelf.

She reached up for the globe, but her fingers came a bit short.
"Is there anyway you can lift me a little higher?" She asked.
