He started to wake then, slowly. Michael mumbled a forgive me as the scene faded.
-
Ally peered down at h and her blonde hair followed as she leaned over him. "Hey you arnt dead." She mused.
-
Michael scrambled away, "who are you?"
-
She let a look of horror and confusion cross onto her face in mock play. "Ally remeber? Your partner in history? I-I saw something attack you and then a wolf attacked the cougar and.." She pretend to look around in horror. "The wolf took off because I scared it away and I'm surprised you didn't get hurt." She forced a shiver.
-
"Why do I remember..." he began, looking back into the memory right before he blacked out. "How did you do that?"
-
"Wolves are predators, a lone one won't take on two people." She sighed. "I took Zoology."
-
"One of which was bleeding profusely and was knocked out?" he asked. "Seems to me like an easy meal."
-
"It was the cougar's blood not yours." She shook her head. "I dont know.. it just took off."
-
"It clawed my back up," he said. "I remember that. I don't faint under pressure."
-
"Don't belive me? Check your back." She stood up and brushed her butt off. "Hurry up, it's getting dark." She itched to shift once more to join her pack.
-
"I know what happened," he snarled. He took off the jacket, finding it torn to shreds, and bloodstained, but healed scars on his back. Michael stood, a little shaky, "for what its worth thanks."
-
He made her feel irritated at that. "You know, I hope that damn wolf comes back and finishes you off." She snarled back and flipped her hood up. "Whatever." She growled and shoved her hands into her pockets and started to stalk off.
-
"Maybe you should heed your own advice," Michael replied, turning and going back down the trail.
-
"Bite me." She pulled ahead of him and out of sight. She quickly shifted and ran towards her pack. Howls filled the air and she howled back, needly. She always felt better around them.
-
As he passed where she'd dissappeared, he wondered where in the hell she went. Nobody could cover that much ground that fast. Michael shrugged it off, looked around, and kept moving.
