Michael hit the emergency brake and drifted around the corner. Once upon a time, his father had taken him to the sheriff's defensive driving course, and learned to drive like a maniac.
-
She slowed down as they neared a two story house with a basement underneath. Pulling into the garage she took her helmet off and walked towards his car.
-
He pulled up on the street next to the house and got out. "This it?" he asked, removing his shades.
-
"No I just like to pull into random house." She huffed and led the way into the house through the front door. It was a simple home and she looked around. No one was home. Well, except Tristan. She could hear him sleeping down stairs.
-
Michael followed her tentatively, a little embarrassed. He looked around still, tucking the shades into his brest pocket.
-
She walked into the kitchen and dropped her bag. "Want anything?" She asked quietly.
-
"A Coke?" he asked, taking out his Surface.
-
"Sure." She opened the fridge and pulled out two cokes, a thing of strawberries, and whipped cream. "Don't get your hopes up, I just like this." She said with a slight flirty tone before hitting her bag with her foot. "Wanna pick that up for me?"
-
Michael grinned and shook his head, "so long as you share, I like strawberries," he said. He reached down and easily picked the bag up and set it on the table.
-
She nodded. "Come on, we will head to my room. No ideas either." She said with that same tone and half smile. She grabbed her bag in one hand and cradled everything else in the other. She started to walk upstairs.
-
"I'll carry something, if you don't mind," he said, motioning for her to hand him something.
-
Ally shook her head stubbornly and tried to fumble with the door handle and open her door but was having trouble.
-
He got it easily and stood back, letting her go first.
-
"Thanks." She huffed and walked into her room. To the left was her queen sized bed pressed into the corner. Her walls were a light sky blue on the bottom half with a lighter grass green on top and a white strip of wood where the two colors came together. To the right of her bed was a waist high white bookshelf filled with books and a lamp on top. A large white dresser sat infront of her bed and the center of two windows on either side. Dropping her things she plopped down on her bed and looked at him.
-
"Where do you want me to sit?" he asked, to be polite. He wasn't just going to plop on her bed.
