He looked around, unsure. He didn't trust them. You could cut the tension with a plasma cutter. He could tell both were lone wolves, and as was he. But, he could play on a team.
-
Twirling a knife slowly in her hands she sighed softly yet clearly audible. "Look, we can't stand here all day. It will be getting dark soon. That means more Infected. I have a whole fenced in area clear. Either, stay here or follow I don't really are." She shouldered her bag and turned her back to them.
-
Dusk watched her and then looked at the man, an eyebrow raised. Waiting. She wasn't sure what for, maybe his decision would affect hers, or maybe she just didn't want to move until everyone had left. But, deep down, something told her she'd be following the other girl.
-
Michael shrugged. He had nowhere to be, or stay. He cast a look at the other girl, before following the blonde with the knives.
-
Ally moved quickly and silently. Her hands were stuffed into her coat pockets but her fingers were constantly fingering and playing with the daggers in her pockets. Her shoulders hunched slightly but she slowed down to let them keep up.
-
Dusk hesitated a moment before locating a rain pipe and sliding down it smoothly, ignoring the ominous rattles and creaks it groaned out as her weight was dropped down it. She frowned, slipping one pistol into its holster but keeping the other in her right hand. Her left hand found the hidden sheath that held her knife and rested on the hilt, ready to draw the weapon if necessary. Finally, she walked after the other two.
-
Michael easily kept pace with her, noting the other girl was following. He heard a skitter, before a single Infection form charged him. He unslung the bat, wound up, and hit it. Sending the form flying, dead.
-
Ally listened to them and started to slow down. She took a sharp right and it seemed to lead away from town. Soon she walked up towards a large rusted metal gate. A large wooden sign next to it read in faded red colors, Oakwood Gripping the metal she jumped up and grabbed a hidden string, pulling it down and a latter fell.
-
Dusk could feel every nerve in her body standing on edge, every sense prickling. She didn't like this. She didn't even know these people, and yet she was following them into who-knows-where. She almost turned back, but something made her stay.
-
"Ladies first," he motioned to the two of them. Though it was a dangerous new world, he hadn't forgotten his manners.
-
She snorted and swiftly climbed the wooden latter, and balanced on the thin metal beam. Jumping down she unlocked it from the other side and slid the gate open. "Welcome to paradise." She chuckled, her face still hidden.
-
Dusk tentatively climbed up the ladder, staying at an angle where she could see him out of the corner of her eye. One hand stayed on the hidden sheath, ready to draw her knife. She didn't say anything as she joined the other girl through the gate.
-
He slipped in through the gate, bat still in his hands. He hadn't survived this long by letting his guard down.
-
Ally closed the gate behind them and looked down the empty road. "Every house is clear except one or two have tied up Infected kids." She had lived here and knew the kids. She could never bring herself to kill them yet.
(Ooo, idea! I should play Ben so we are even~) -
(Hm?)
Dusk frowned. "You've got Infected kids tied up?" she asked, speaking for the first time. She kept her voice calm and level, betraying no emotion. But she didn't like the idea of Infected so close, tied up or no.
