Ember continued to watch him. "You're walking straight towards the 'pack'" She warned him.
-
"Then I shoot my way through," he said, passing her.
-
A snarl passed her lips and she stuck her arm out, blocking his path. "No. You won't." She may not like the pack, but she was still part of it, and she wasn't about to let this idiot blunder through and kill everyone.
-
He recoiled, thinking a touch could infect him. "Fine," he said coldly, heading off in a differant direction.
-
Ember rolled her eyes, pissed. "God, are you really scared of me?" She asked in a mocking tone.
-
He threw a glare at her, "I don't want to get infected," he whispered.
-
"It's not even that bad," she snapped, "we're not much different from you." She could feel herself getting angrier and struggled to keep the anger down. In check.
-
He rolled his eyes, and walked away, away from her and her "pack"
-
She bared her teeth at his back, "And now you're walking back the way you came." She didn't know why she was wasting her time on this guy, but she was, which only served to annoy her further.
-
"Does it matter? I'll be dead in a week," he mumbled, not turning back.
-
"Funny, you didn't seem like the kind of person who'd give up." Ember answered.
-
"When you've lost everything, you just stop caring," he replied, drawing off into the trees behind them.
-
She rolled her eyes. "Well then, you're obviously weak." She snapped at his retreating back.
-
"Have you been cast out of your home, by your best friend, because of something your father did thirty years ago?" he snapped back.
-
She raised her hands in mock surrender. "Getting personal, are we?" she narrowed her eyes at him.
