Zander seemed to be two things: fairly easygoing, and willing to turn Anna. When the two were combined, she found herself growing a bit concerned. Was being so mellow something she would grow into? Would she ever be as relaxed as he was? Was he even relaxed, or was it a facade?

He tilted his head at her curiously. "What are you thinking of?"

"Well, that we need to ask where a good place to stay would be, since I don't want to just drive around." Her eyes quickly swept the restaurant for the waiter.

"Makes sense. They should be back soon to take care of your plate."

She nodded. "Right."

"But I feel like that's not all you're thinking about.." Zander mumbled, mostly to himself.

"Can we talk about it later? It's um... about after we find your brother..." She noticed the waiter walking over in the general direction.

He nodded light and finished his tea. "Of course."

She smiled a little, gratefully. "Thank you." When the waiter stopped at their table, she gave him her attention. "Where would be a good place to stop for tonight?" she asked.

Zander took a piece of half melted ice and chewed on it as he waited for the waiter and Anna to stop talking. He stared out the window as he subconsciously ate the ice cubes.

"Alright, thank you. And yes, we're ready to go." She stood, nudged Zander, and followed the cashier.

He stood and followed her. He felt bad watching her pay. As a man, he should be paying but he didn't have money in this day and age; He didn't need it. But when it came to Anna, he wouldn't mind getting a job to buy her nice things. Or just steal them.

She paid for the meal and the two of them headed back to the car. -

He carefully got in and looked at her. "So you know where we're going for the night?" -

"Yeah, I think so," she said once she got in. She started the car.
