IHLAOY NewbieMeepo glanced over at Ellie, "It's not really a problem as long as none of us bring it up. As far as anyone is concerned, I'm the real Meepo. Maybe. We had a way to tell but we kinda...forgot it." Meepo said. "Hey, are the waves supposed to be this hi..."
A sudden torrent of water cut Meepo off as he was swept from the raft of ice. The weight of his bag pulled him beneath the water; dragged him into the darkness of the depths. He struggled for the straps, regretting the lose of the gems in the bag's pockets, but sacrifices had to be made.
Rising back to the surface, Meepo coughed and fought against the tide to make his way to the ice. Gripping onto the side, he searched for Ellie; finding nothing.
From around him, a heavy voice began to rise over the water, while in the distance storm clouds gathered, "Well, what's this? A couple ah little tadpoles coming to ruin my fun? What's wrong, afraid of the dark? Maybe you shoulda stayed on the land. But I'm nuthin' if ain't generous. Head back now and maybe you'll still be walking tomorrow. I know I'm gonna." -
Water wasn't Ellie's favourite thing to fall into. If she tried freezing it, she would freeze herself along with the water. She also couldn't swim well. She never had the need to learn how to swim. Her held her breath, but she knew that she couldn't hold it for much longer. Then she heard the voice and decided that she would get back up there. Then she remembered when Meepo asked her if the path was connected to the bottom. It was worth a shot, she had nothing to lose at this point.
Ellie let the water pull her down a bit more, then she bumped into something. She was almost out of breath, so she had to do this fast. She touched the rock that she bumped into, then sent an icy blast, freezing the water and propelling her upward. Ellie lost her breath. When she broke the surface, she had to cough up water. -
*she held her breath
-
Nak tried to pull Ellie up but succeeded only in pulling them both down again. Blinking water out of his eyes, he held on to the slippery ice as hard as he could.
Kiwi tried to balance and was doing okay by just standing there and breathing deeply. She knew it wasn't helping the others though, and tried to help steady meepo. "Just find your inner zen!" -
IHLAOY Newbie"What the hell is a zen?" Meepo shouted, digging his hands into the ice deeper. The cold was starting to numb his hands, but it was better than having to swim. And with Slark prowling in the water somewhere, maybe that was for the best.
The water around him exploded in a dark pool as ice rocketed out of the water. Meepo swore he could see two people lying on the top, but that sped out of his vision quickly. Risking what he had, Meepo made a dash for the pillar.
"Very impressive, lil fish." The heavy voice said, "you'll have to aim better to catch me in that though, I'm a little slippery-er than ice." -
"Wasn't trying to," Ellie croaked. She coughed out a bit more water before standing. She turned to see Nak. "You ok?" She looked down at the water and her other partners below her. "I may have overdid it." Then she turned to where she heard the voice that she assumed belonged to Slark. "Show yourself," she shouted, her voice and eyes serious.

IHLAOY Newbie"Now why would I wanna do that? I think I'd rather watch you squirm. Did it scare you? The ocean? The dark bottom, twisting and shrouding and growing as the clouds draw near? Struggling to draw another as you were pulled deeper and deeper into the murk? Sometimes even I don't dare venture too deep, the ocean is a big place, who knows what could be lurking beneath you...right...now." Slark responded.
The ice bit into Meepo's hands as he climbed up the pillar. He still had his net, but without his bag he had no way to poof away if danger appeared. It was all fine though, all he needed to do was hook Slark. Then everything would be fine. -
IHLAOY NewbieWhispering quietly to the other adventurer's around him; to avoid waking the dragon, Meepo said, "You know, thinking on this deeply, and totally not using Google via multiple Meepo system, I think I know what the answer is. We just need to move slowly, and silently, into the next room. And by that I mean panic and run, because that door is going to make a ton of noise when I open it."
Turning around slowly, Meepo eyed the door. "On the count of three. One. Tw--CORAL!" Meepo shouted, sprinting forward. -
Eleanor frowned when she heard what Slark said. Lurking beneath her? Ellie held her hand out. Several ice darts formed. She pointed down and the ice shot to multiple places that could be considered to be beneath her. She didn't appreciate surprise attacks, so she wasn't taking any chances.

(I'm bringing this thread back from the depths of The Stage!!! gtg)

IHLAOY NewbieSomething whizzed past Meepo's ear, and he pressed it against the top of his head hastily. Looking down, he saw something small and fast stab into the water. A second later it bobbed to the top, floating on the surface after failing to hit anything. Twisting his ear back outwards, Meepo continued climbing. Finding a grip that was surprisingly stable at the top of pillar, Meepo finally pulled himself up.
He wobbled on his feet for a second, before falling onto his back. "I miss the cave," Meepo said, "I should have been the one that went into the cave." He remained still for a moment, absent mindedly waving his hand, "Gimme a minute."
The pillar shook suddenly, and Meepo forced himself to stand up again. Looking over the edge and nearly falling in as it shook again, Meepo turned around, "I have some bad news and some good...well, I have some bad news. Slark appears to be cutting away at the base of our island. I sure hope you have a plan, cause Meepo is gonna kill me if I die here." -
Drake followed Meepo and Saige through the door. When they reached the end of a short tunnel, they found that they were on Slark's island.

not sure if i should try to join, or just stay out of it...)

IHLAOY Newbie(You could always wait until the current arc is done and see if you still want to join. Should be fun as long as we don't get caught in another fight loop.)
Sliding through the door like a super cool dude that would probably wear sunglasses and steal the Deceleration of Independence at some point in the future, Meepo grinned happily. He was so glad he'd chose the cave, other Meepo was so jealous. A second later, Drake sped through the door too, followed by Saige. Meepo sighed sadly as he realized his plan didn't work. Ah well, can't win em all.
Standing up, Meepo noted the stairs in front of him; leading upwards out of the dark, but still relying on the illumination of the torches bolted to the walls. Hadn't Slark heard of a little thing called electricity? What primitive technology these torches were.
Placing a finger on the wall, Meepo started up the steps. He wasn't sure where he was going, but up seemed like a good guess. Maybe it would be like that movie where Will Smith fought Andrew Ryan in a submarine. Meepo could probably take Andrew Ryan in a fight, especially if they all teamed up on him.
Finally reaching the top, Meepo looked around, eventually spying himself out the window. "Oh man, we took the long way! This sucks."
