"You have food. I am starving. You know the drill," Alux replied with a feisty grin.
Kittu pawed at Jax's face in her sleep. Her tail intertwined in his.
Kebular searched for a den to stay overnight in, the cold winds nipping at his fur. He finally settled in an abandoned badger's den, which featured a stream which he messily drank from. Satisfied and full of liquids, Kebular fell fast asleep. -
Jax sneezed and woke himself up. Blinking sleepily the brute peered down at the sleeping puma. He chuckle softly and yawned, his ivories flashing in the night.

Kittu yawned, slightly stirring. She rose from her resting position and glanced down at Jax. "Maybe I will go hunt before the sun rises," she said to herself, running off.

"This 'drill' may work on the other pumas, but this hawk is ours." Starla hissed. "Quiet Star!" Jaun urged. Starla simply growled. "Alux, there's plenty of other food to catch..." The male puma said with a fake grin.

Alux reflected the grin, his tail eagerly twitching. He wasn't going down without a fight.

This was where Jaun drew the line. "Alux, if you're looking for a fight you won't find one here." He said with renewed anger in his voice. His green gaze focused on the horizon, where a large silhouette lay still. Sighing in relief, he gestured to the shape. "Look, there's a dead antelope on the plain just a half a mile away. Eat that." Starla smirked. "Yeah, A, go fetch."

Jax watched her leave with a bored face before rising to his paws and padding away to find a cave or something to amuse him.

Shira blushed into the setting sun, wondering how to approach the subject of cubs.

Alux growled fiercely, swiping messily at Jaun's chin. "You will NOT disrespect your cousin!!"

Starla snarled in reply as Jaun ducked. But when the tan puma rose, he didn't look upset. Simply thoughtful. "Look, A, you're a great fighter. I'm sure you'd make a good hunter." He nodded to his companion, whose starry eyes were narrowed into slits as she glared at Alux. "We'd be happy to teach you." Starla growled at this, but did not object. She hated arguing with Jaun.

Alux shook his pelt, refusing to let these pumas be so nice to him when he knew they wanted to tear him apart. "Strike me," he dared Jaun under his breath. He wanted Jaun to be angry for once. Just once.

Starla curled her muzzle into a sneer and snarled, "Gladly." But Jaun stopped her with a shake of her head. "No."

The great red male yawned and watched the sun sink and stars rise. "I do want cubs." He said softly without looking at her. "You'd be the perfect mother." Smiles lightly.

Shira's ruby eyes turned towards her mate in surprise. "You really think so?" She asked with a slight purr.

Kittu pricked her ears, seeing that Jax was still asleep. Feeling a sense of caution nearby, she went to see what the trouble was.
Alux pinned a steely glare on Starla, about to rip her to shreds. But before he could attack, a pink blur tackled him and they both fell to the ground.
Alux stood, curling his lips into a snarl as the dust faded, he noticed the attcker. "Kittu!" he cried fiercely.
Kittu nodded. "Come get me, big boy!" She squealed and ran off, leading Alux away from innocent Starla and Jaun.
