The umbreon hurried after her new master. Lucky started off at a quick pace. "Elaine, the gym leader in Echira City, is electric type. Just a head's up."

Raven nodded. "So no Tenticool."

Lucky shook her head. "No Vaporeon either." She patted Mars. "You might wanna sit this one out too buddy." She explained to Raven. "Mars and I fought Elaine when he was still a pikachu. Trixie, Elaine's Raichu, beat him as a Pichu. He never regained his dignity."

Raven nodded, understanding.

Mars nuzzled Lucky. "Rai! Raichu chu..."

Raven looked at the city. "How big is it?"

Lucky's smile widened. "Huge. They've got this great carnival, and pokemon shows and competitions, and the food is great!"

"Competitions?" Raven asked. She had always thought of entering Flare in a competition.

She nodded, pushing a stray strand of dark hair behind her ear. "Mm-hm. You know, where two pokemon battle, and show style, control, and dairy while still effectively causing damage to their opponents."

"Maybe I could enter Flare in one of those..."

Lucky gasped. "That's a great idea! We could enter together!"

Raven smiled. "Yes! Good idea!"

Lucky looked up to see the first skyscraper swoop past. She spied a bright red building and ran towards it. "Here's where we enter."

Raven ran after her, her steps quick.
