Fawn laughed, "most of us started out as loners, including my parents and a few of my friends."

Sol sighed. "Still. There are certain cats..." He wrinkled his nose and turned away. "It wouldn't end well."

Fawn flicked her ears, "like who?"

"That tom who attacked me for one." He began. "And...My sister..."

Fawn gasped, "who??"

"Winona." He growled.

Fawn gasped even louder, cocking her head.
"What happened?? How come she never told me?" -
"After our parents died," he meowed, "Winona left. Said she was tired of hiding in the shadows."

"Listen, you need to give her a chance."

"She left! The only person left in my family alive." His face softened. "It's why I don't wanna lose you."

Winona! I like, forgot her!)
Mastiff closed his eyes, drawing a deep breath.
Badger shrugged. "Somewhere... I'm not sure. I just need to get out." And with that, he bounced out of the window and onto a platform. -
Lol me too. XD)
Runa smiled up at the taller cat. "Shall we continue our walk?" -
"Why, yes," answered Mastiff cheerfully, plodding onward. "The craft store is just around the corner." He chuckled a bit. "I hear their twine is lovely this time of year."

Runa nodded. "Perhaps they have some cloth? Oh, I've always heard that cloth makes the best nests-er, beds. Wonderful beds! " she finished with an awkward laugh. You sleep in a bed. She reminded herself. Nests are for mates and families.

"Yeah..." mumbled Mastiff, following an awkward silence. Did she really just say "nest"? Runa was a sweet, understanding queen, but it somehow seemed she desired something more from Mastiff.
But was he ready for a family? He knew Runa would make a beautiful mate and a wonderful mother.
But what about Mastiff? Would he be a good father? Suppose he turned dark like HIS father? Hmm... maybe he wasn't ready.
