"Uh... it's fine. I don't understand this fued anyway..."
Her ears perked up as she got an idea, "can I still she the PH...?" -
Badger's face lit up. He nodded. "Sure... stupid fued. We need to do something about it."
"I'll take you to the PH (which is 'Purebred Headquarters', by the way), but you have to keep a low profile. We don't want any adult cats to find out about... well, you know." -
The two padded up to a window of the PH, climbed inside, and had a look around. Vine was amazed at this place.
And Badger was glad.
"Okay, low profile, remember??" He reminded his companion. -
Vine nodded, not really hearing him, "this place is amazing..." she breathed, looking around.
"All we have is a dump.... but this...." she said, still in awe. -
Badger grinned. "Hey, I'm sure your pad isn't that bad. It's kinda boring here, anyway. You have to be all sophisticated and petty. But you you Non-Peddies are cool; at least YOU guys get to do whatever you want!" he sighed longingly. "Gee, I wish I had that kind of freedom... the purebreds are always leashed up and proper... SO BORING!!"
"Badge!" hissed a voice familiar to the he-kit. "Hey, Badger! Over here!" It was Chara, who fortunately did not notice Vine because she immediately ducked behind a sofa at the sound of another feline's voice. -
Vine opened her mouth to reply but quickly dodged under an old sofa, at the sound of another's voice. She peeked out, and saw another cat waving him over. Great. She stayed under, waiting for her to go away.

Jezabelle slunk around, her snowy fur shimmering in the daylight. She settled into a seated position near Chara. "Hello, dear Chara. And Badger."

"Jezabelle," Chara purred. "Greetings! Nice to see you again." She turned to Badger. "Badge, could you please fetch us a scrap or two to sharpen our claws on?" The he-kit glared. "You're not my mother!" he hissed.
Chara sighed and hung her head. "I know I can never replace what you have lost," she sighed. "but I can try. Your mother instructed me to be your guardian, and it was approved by the Council, so..."
Then she realized how personal this was getting. Chara froze and then, putting a casual expression on her face, -
shooed Badger away and continued to chat with Jezabelle.

Jezabelle sighed. "Poor kit. I'm sorry it's so hard to take care of them without parents. Duchess was the same when her parents died."

Chara expressed a loose smile. "Thanks. I know I can be harsh on that boy sometimes, but seriously. He needs to lighten up and accept life as it is! I keep telling him things will get better, but as always he..."

"It's almost like he doesn't want to cheer up." Jezabelle sighed.

Flash shook her head and started back towards the PH.

Streak's eyes darted from side to side, to make sure no one was following. When he was sure Winona was the only one he saw, he padded up to her.

Vine stayed under the couch, impatiently waiting for the she-cats to go away.
Dylan lay lazily in the sun, nawing on a rabbit bone.
