He grinned and chuckled softly again. "Ravenpaw, I'm fine. The couch isn't alive."

"...are you sure that you're not dead?"

"Yeah, pretty sure." He said with a laugh.

Ravenpaw turned towards the couch, opening her eyes. She grinned when she saw a not dead Jacob.

Jacob pulled his paw out and smiled. "Now come here. I refuse to live with a she-cat afraid of couches." He joked.

Despite knowing that the couch wouldn't hurt her, Ravenpaw hesitated.

"Come on, if it attacks you I'll protect you."

Taking a deep breath, Ravenpaw nodded, leaping up onto the couch.

Jacob nodded in approval. "See? It's fine."

Ravenpaw nodded, trying to balance on the uneven surface. "Y-yeah..."

He laughed and tried to steady her.

Ravenpaw gave him a grateful smile as she stopped wobbling so much.

Jacob lied down, still smiling. "It's easier this way. Lie down."

Ravenpaw obeyed. "How long have you lived here? "
