Jaykit looked at Blizzardstorm curiously.
Mudsplash shifted under the apprentice's gaze but tried to focus on Ivystar. -
Whitefang went to tand next to Ivystar.

Ivystar nodded to the white tom. "Meeting dismissed." He told the clan, watching the cats disperse.

"Thanks Ivystar!" Whitefang meowed.

Ivystar smiled and nodded. "You've been a loyal warrior and a good friend. I know you'll make a good deputy."

Whitefang nodded then jumped off the highrock to Sweetpelt.

"Congratulations!" She meowed happily, nuzzling her mate affectionately.

Whitefang nuzzled back. "I did not expect this!"

"I did." She murmured with a playful lick. "I always said you'd make a great leader someday."

"Really?"

The gray blue she cat nodded. "Mm-hm." She smiled and leaned closer. "In fact, I was just talking to Crowfrost about it yesturday."

Crowfrost reentered the nursery after the short meeting, only to be cornered by an all too curious Firekit. "Mama! What happened at the meeting? Tell me tell me!" The tiny cat demanded, stamping a paw. Crowfrost chuckled and sat down, twitching her whiskers in amusement. "Patience, Firekit." The young she-kit frowned ever so slightly. "Being patient is a waste of time." Crowfrost sighed, but smiled. Firekit would learn when she was older. "Anyway, Blizzardstorm is no longer deputy. He fought with other clan cats, and Ivystar is very upset with him." Firepaw's eyes seemed to double in size and for once she was silent, waiting for the rest of the information to be delivered. "Whitefang is the new Deputy." "You mean Willowpaw and Featherpaw's father?" The black queen nodded. "Yes, him. He's very loyal and brave, he'll make a good deputy."
