To avoid the problem of abiogenesis (life coming to life by itself from non-life), some members of the Religion of Atheism straddle the fence by claiming they are Christians. In that way, they can claim that God created the "common ancestor."
Atheists-in-denial have tried that routine with me at several websites where I debate. When I asked them why Jehovah would create a common ancestor and allow things to evolve on their own, the atheists-in-denial had no credible answer. Likewise, when I ask them to show me where evolution is mentioned in the Genesis creation account, they could not produce any scriptures along that line.

I believe in creation, not evoloution...
Because I have seen the facts. (not just here). -
I believe in evolution, I think I might be atheist. Not because of that, because I think that everything in religion, all of them, is to make people feel better. Most gods do what they feel the people don't have, like in the bible people are greedy, but god is good, and in ancient Greece, they are very strict with laws, and their Gods break them all the time. Just a personal opinion. I have other reasons too, but I don't want to offend anyone. I do respect all religions though, they do good, I just don't believe in a great power. God cannot change anything, everything is connected, like in the butterfly effect. You know, don't pray that you will do well on a test, it will be based off what you do to prepare, and that is based off your upbringing, which is based off your parents' life, etc.

Oh, and for more proof, in Genesis(I do know my bible, my dad is a preacher), God created all those things in seven days, but he also created the sun in those days. How are there days HERE if there is no sun. Also, what about everything else? Another thought about religion, does it not ALWAYS (or most of the time at least) put humans above all other species. It clearly is appealing to human's sense of pride.

There have to been things showing us evolving. We just call them "ancient" dogs, humans, etc.
