Theyre to donate for the Muscular Distrophy Assossiation, and our Burger King is trying to sell the most, and a couple off my bosses came up to me last week and said "Hey Carla, you go to church, you should see if you can sell them there!" and they really wanted me to, like yeah its for a good cause, but mostly cuz they want our bk to win at selling the most.
But when I mentioned it to my parents, they said that the priest probably wont let me because they just want money for the church, and wont support donations for those little kids who are gonna be paralyzed by the time theyre teenagers and dead by the time theyre 30 unless the church can get some sort of profit out of it.
And the sad thing is, my parents are right, the church isnt gonna do something like that unless they get something out of it. That sure tells ya something about Catholics doesnt it... those selfish a--holes.... :P and I'm one of them XD -
FLgirl92 NewbieIt isn't just Catholics. Fundamentalists and evangelicals are even worse. In North Florida, your best chance of making money is by opening a ministry or a church. My dad always says that Christians in Florida buy churches like fast-food franchises. As you know, I am a Christian, and I take it seriously. I pray, I read the Bible, and try to live a good Christian life. But organized religion just bothers me alot.

Wherever there are people, there will be greed. Even in religion. It's really sad.
