Thread Topic: Is There An Actual God?
-
Well is there? It's not like there's hard evidence showing that there is a higher power up there - or down there - watching over us. Other than the Bible, or which ever your religion goes off of, there really isn't proof of it. There's suspicions about there being someone, but is there eye witnesses that aren't conveniently dead? I'm just curious. You can prove the existence of dinosaurs, of global warming, but with God there really isn't. All it is in my opinion is just having faith, I suppose. I will believe something when I seen it. What are your opinions?

Finished2016 NewbieFist, let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I go to a Christian school, church, and youth group. I'm a 15 year old girl, and I also love music.
Anyway, please know that I don't care if no one agrees with me... you don't have to like what I say or even listen, but I am just going to express my opinions and beliefs.
Yeah, it's hard to believe something you can't see. I totally understand that.
I have seen God in different ways. I am a Christian and believe God is real. I have experienced God in so many different ways, whether you believe me or not. As I said before, I go to church and a youth group, and a Christian school. During youth group last week, my Satanic friend became a Christian. That's not something that just happens. That's God's work. I have felt God's presence - during worship songs and/or prayer, I have literally felt God's presence. My body starts shaking and tears fall from my eyes because I can feel even just a tiny glimpse of His presence and His love for me. I don't just coincidentally start shaking and crying during worship... that's God. I have seen Him instantly heal people, people in wheelchairs just get up and stand in God's power. I have seen miracles and I have experienced God.
I'm sorry if this doesn't answer your question.
This might be all just a bunch of confusing or unimportant words for you, and that's okay. I wish I had more time to talk to you about all of this and why I believe what I believe. But for now, this is all I can say. If you have any questions, I'm here to answer what I can!! :) I'd love to get to know you more! -
its a detatly/spirt or what what ever its called

If God exists is not a question to ask other people. Does God exist is something you must ask yourself. Life is a test to see if you are able to believe in someone that you think you've never seen but you see him every day of your life you just have to believe.
-
It's not "a" God. It's "THE" God. Yes, God is real. God's not dead; he's surely alive. Do some investigating if you really want to know.
But I wont force you to believe God DOES exist. This is all on you. -
Depending which religion you believe in there is a different God(s). So it basically comes down to which God
-
Not to sound snobby or anything, but there is only one God. The rest are not the real ones.
Sorry for sounding like a brat or whatever, but...well, this is what I believe in.
*No one respond to this post, please. I don't want this to turn into World War III. -
Finished2016 NewbieI know you said not to post, Twilight, but I am sorry, I would like to say something.
I wholeheartedly agree with Twilight.
Also, God does not exist based on whether you think He does or not -- God does exist, whether you like it or not. You don't have to agree at all. If you don't agree, that's okay. I am not in any way trying to make any of you believe what I believe. All I am doing is expressing my beliefs. -
Britney, my intention of this thread was not to start World War Three. I was curious on your guy's beliefs. And if he or whoever is up there. That was my intention.
Finished: I was born into a Christian family. Church everyday. Bible study Wednesdays and Fridays. Always praying over my food, and praying when I'm going to bed. I've always been told to pray and believe in God. But I've been curious to see your opinions on this topic. I'm nut a hardcore bible thumper anymore, but eh it's somewhat still there -
I don't believe in anything because I have no proof. If you could give me factual proof then yeah I would... but most of what I've heard is opinionated.
-
Now for my view, (Bring on wwIII) religion is based upon morals and ethics. While one can argue a god exists, they can also be opposed by about 18 other religions. The way I've always viewed life is that there is a way things work. Life goes on and is driven by natural forces such as Karma. Believing in a religion however is trying to put an identity to the question of life, as is how I view it. No offense to anyone but there should be some balance to the subject.

not to be shallow or anything but at oir school we call bs bible study or baking soda well on to the real topic.
why do you think we had all those war. Hummm oh yeah from religion. Yes beleiving in what you beleiv in is good just dont go talking about it in any random place -
Yes and I've seen Jesus.
-
Yes, I am aware that you intention was not to cause drama. I was just taking cautions.
-
Britney: I am fully aware. This is supposed to be a sophisticated discussion, I assume some may get offended, but also understand no one was indicating to insult what religion, or beliefs you tend to have, and or practice
