Well, since Christians celebrate Christmas and Hebrews celebrate Hanukkah, what do other religions celebrate?
-
The holiday season.
-
..Like, holidays.
Besides Christmas and Hanukkah--do other religions have holidays like these that are called something different? -
Yes. Kwanzaa is sort of similar to Chanukah, except celebrated by Africans.
-
Atheists still celebrate Christmas
-
a lot of neo pagans celebrate "yule" which differs from mainstream christmas in that it's waaaayyy more ritualistic and has more sugary foods involved.
mexican catholics also celebrate christmas with more ritual then most folks. lots and lots of candles, praying, mass, and lots of food. -
Well Hindus celebrate Diwali but it is before Christmas
-
Oh cool.
-
ooh I don't think I've ever heard of Diwali, story time? :D
-
Jews do celebrate Hanukkah, but it's not even an important holiday. In fact, it's a very minor one--it just gets a lot of publicity because it's near Christmas.
-
Diwali is a celebration of hindus. Maybe for devi kali?@kish
