The sense of "self" is a framework composed of the images and concepts you have of yourself, as well as memories that personify the person that you are.
Should that framework come apart, the "self" will lose cohesion. In other words, it fades into oblivion.
Think about it... -
That makes a lot of sense actually.
-
Really? Good!
-
Yeah, I liked it so much I'm using it as the topic for my next Quote drawing. lolol

Reading this, I decided to look at how I define myself as well as the events in my life that define me as a person.
I am shocked, horrified, and wondering what went wrong. -
Thinking about what I have done in life what I could have done and how I define myself I have came to a conclusion.
My parents really should have used birth control. -
Sorry for late responses everyone, out internet was messing up.
@Carri: oh, good. Glad I could be of help! :)
@barberbob: This was meant for something to ponder, and as a way to see yourself and where you have come from, not as a condemning thing. But I am glad you are contemplating it.
@TheGeek: No, they shouldnt have. Everyone is born for a purpose. Now, you have read my statement, and if you think that they should have used birth control, they you get the wrong idea. But now that you have read it, if you are dissatisfied with your current position, go change something. -

Don't let others tell you who you are and what you should be. Who they are and what they are is not your problem, just be who you are, and nothing more.

If a thread hasn't been posted on in a long time, it is dead. Bringing back dead threads is usually regarded as rude and unadvisable. Don't bring back dead threads.
-
This is my thread, I can do what I want with it. And there was something else to say on the subject. Quit telling me what to do, I know what an old thread is.
-
You may know what an old thread is, but you're acting ignorant on forum etiquette. I told you how things work around here, and you took it as a personal attack. My job is done. I've said what I have to say. Honestly, your teen angst is overwhelming as it is. Good day to you.
-
I'm assuming you are barberbob2, so here we have it. Yes, I may be new and know little on the forum etiquette, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I was not told that I could not post on my own thread, because no one cared to tell me the "rules" when I got here. Or at any time for that matter. This is the first time I've heard of the possibility of "rudeness" here. So I apologize for that.
As for the personal attack, if you dont want to make it seem like a personal attack, try rewording your posts, that way it seems as if you were giving advice, not condemning someone.
Chill on the teen angst thing, hm? If people had told me, I would not have brought this thread back up. -
I did tell you. I didn't call you a bitch. I didn't act offended. I didn't get p---- . I stated the forum etiquette in the most formal and basic way physically possible. And you responded with "Quit telling me what to do." Even now, by continuing this conversation you are only solidifying what I've already said. Let the thread die. It's over.
